I think Dan is actually more likely a bit under six foot these days. Recently Bill Murray looked taller than him by a bit but back in their younger days they looked pretty much the same height.

i have to admit he didn't look too tall with jamie lee curtis in trading place even taking her heels into consideration but he was clearly taller than paul gleason. not suure about gleason's height but he looked at least 5'11 to me.

Hi again! I must change my guess about Mr Aykroyd. Last night I was watching the movie "Trading" and next to Eddie Murphy and other actors like jamie Lee Curtis , Dan looks 183cm not more, so 183cm or 6feet was his height in prime time.

Aykroyd never looked 6 ft ONE in Ghostbusters (neither did Murray, or Hudson or anyone except Ramis really). Even 6 foot flat is a bit of a stretch for Aykroyd as I think he's a tiny bit shorter than Murray.

Rob, Dan's lost some serious height. He was on the SNL 40th Anniversary special on Sunday night and he did a Blues Brothers dance with Jim Belushi who was 5'11" at his peak and Jim was taller than Dan on Sunday.

I've hung out with Dan Akroyd and used to hand out with John Candy back in the Toronto days and both guys were bigger than average thats for sure. Dan is easily 6,1" and Candy was id say a bit taller around 6' 2". Never met Murry but I did know Chevy when I lived in LA and he was tallest of that group around 6'4".

I think 6ft1.5(187cm) is possible or at the very least 186cm. He was easily around Murray's height and stacked up well next to legit 6ft2 guys like John Candy, Harold Ramis and Morgan Freeman. He towered over Adam Sandler in 50 First Dates. Still around 6ft1 today

I got to meet him today. He was in town signing autographs for his Crystal Head vodka. I got a picture with him, but unfortunately he took them all sitting down since he was signing autographs. When he first arrived though he was standing beside my friend at one point who is 5'11 and Aykroyd looked to have about an inch and a half on him, so I would estimate him at about 6'0.5 now. This was about 1pm so he may still even be 6'1 out of bed, but he was definitely that and maybe a little more in his prime.

I don't know, but they're worth comparing when they're together. I'd say 6-1.25 to be sure, especially considering these pictures with Glenn, in which he looks to be almost 6-2.
