Riz Ahmed isn't 5'7 flat though, he's almost 5'8. I agree that pic is a bit suspect though, and it definitely looks in that pic like Diego would be closer to 5'8 if he wasn't tiptoeing. The camera angle does give Riz an advantage though I think

Why does he even tiptoe like that lol? No one is going to be like "wow, he's so tall!!" and it clearly isn't for comedic effect either. Wouldn't it be more practical to just buy shoe lifts or maybe even tiptoeing *inside* the shoe so that it becomes less obvious?

I'm usually very averse to users that theorize that celebs use lifts and then base their estimates on that, but I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if this guy is 5'8-range and uses lifts to appear taller. Not going to base my vote on that though

I believe he's 5'10 when drawn up to full height - look at him in Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, Romola Garai is a definite 5'8" and a half at least (I've seen her in person). They have scenes together where they are barefoot and he looks visibly taller than her. Plus in two inch heels (looking at her shoes in dance scenes and comparing to my own 1.25 inch heels for a visual measure) she was almost the same height as him, maybe half an inch taller at most.

Which makes him, yes, 5'10" or at least very close. He's skinny so he looks on the tall side, but in his movies before Rogue One he tended to slouch, that makes people look shorter. If it wasn't for seeing him with Garai I'd have thought he was only 5'8" myself.

I saw ROGUE ONE yesterday & gotta say that it was an AWESOME experience - definitely my favourite & the best of all the Star Wars movies. I loved all the main cast (Felicity Jones, Luna, Yen, Ahmed & Jiang Weng), though I would have preferred an even bigger role for Mikkelsen (just love that actor). On the excellent Captain Cassian Andor (much edgier & a way better than boring Captain Han Solo), I would guess his height as anywhere between 174 and 177 cm (5 ft 8.5 - 5 ft 9.5) inclusive.

He really doesn't look more than 5'9" tops, but that so strange than on this photo of all the cast added by Steve about Rogue One promotion he looks so close of Forest Whitaker, who's suppose to be at 6'2" (and he seems to be...). Maybe a strange visual effect due to the angle photo, or Luna wears very solid lifts! And he could to be right, his legs has strange posture. Sometimes, we have really need to see some people in true life to guess what are their heights! And to do this, we have Rob, thanks buddy, for your so strange but so funny (part of your?) job! ^^

I just watched the SW Rogue One trailer and thought...hm, is Diego slightly less than average height? According to the current listing, he is about average, but based on some evidence of posted photos, he actually looks closer to 173-174cm. So I'm going to guess 174cm for now.

I think he and Bernal might need solid downgrades. Bernal is probably 5'5-5'5.5 and Luna is somewhere around 5'8 and a bit, they're Mexican, so their heights do not stand out as sorely as they would in the american movie scene.

I'm gonna guess 5'8 and '2-inching' it here.

In "The terminal" he looks about 1 inch and a half shorter than Tom Hanks, who is six feet tall. If you see de movie, you'll notice that in several scenes when they are standing together, diego is hunching, probably as a part of his role in the film.

When I saw him on Nicotina I thought he looked a good 6 feet. But then he looked a bit shorter in The Terminal. It must be an illusinary height thing. I'd say definitely 5'9" - 5'10" range.

I personally believe Gael Garcia Bernal is 5'5 and a half. Anyone who has seen Y Tu Mama Tambien would have noticed Diego Luna was roughly 2 inches taller, possibly 3. So I'm guessing he's 5'8 and a half. The fact that he is slim also gives the illusion of being 5'9...but who knows

Oh bless, if he thinks he's 5'10" and he's happy with that then we'll just take his word for it. It's not really doing anyone any harm if he's a wee bit smaller, unless he goes on a dating website and exaggerates his height slightly and a load of tall women get disappointed when they realise he's only 5'9", but let's face it, he probably doesn't need to do that.

I have visited mexico many times because i Have cousins there in oe of my visits I saw him in a Big Department store he is in the 5'9 range (175cm) maybe 5'9 1/2 but with shoes on , barefoot definetly 5'9.

ha. well i saw both these dudes at lunch today and i can safely say that diego is a fair bit taller than gael. from what it looked like anyway. shorter than me though, and i'm 5'10. but 5'9 for sure. only just.
