I don't know about peak height but I agree with 186 cm right now. I watched the movie Borg from 2017 recently and Stellan looks the exact same height as a Swedish actor, Claes Ljungmark, billed at 186 cm
Stellan also looks an inch or 3 cm taller than the main actor in the film, Sverrir Gudnason, who seemingly claims 185 cm.

I don't believe his 185 cm claim for a second there unless Shia is way taller than 5'8 ¾/174.6 cm. There looks to be around 3-3.8 inches difference, so I could see Sverrir as 181-184 cm territory (most likely 183-183.5, 6'0-6'0¼), making Stellan 186-186.5 cm/6'1 ¼-½.
Implying that Stellan has shrunk an inch, I suppose his peak height would've been 6'2 and some change, 189 cm. I haven't watched any of his early work though, so I won't speculate or vote on that

i think i have said this before but he was measured at 191 in a old movie barefoot. so there is really no point of guessing 190cm or 192 cm peak when we have evidence on his height. But i cant remember what the movie was called. I give him 191 cm peak and today he can look 188 but i think if he stand tall for a measurement he can still be 188,7 ish.

Editor Robhe might have a cm longer, but I think it is in top of head to eyelevel that Stellan has more length, plus maybe is more prone to lowering his head compared to his son.

My uncle was a flat 6'3 he had met Stellan numbered of times when he stay in Sweden and told me Stellan was a spot on weak 6'3 or flat 6'3 same as him. So 6'2.5 sound accurate

Editor Rob it's not a card, I think a guy like Alexander generally looks like he stands quite near his measured height, while his father might have a stance that can generally be 1-1.5 inches shorter than he might measure.

Nic, a very quick look-up at the "human height" page at a site-that-can-not-be-mentioned, apparently, shows a study done in 2008 for 20-29 year olds that shows an average male height of 181.5 cm. I'd say that sounds a bit right, maybe a little tall. Most Scandinavian countries leveled off in height at least a decade, ago.
Nic, a very quick look-up at the "human height" page at a site-that-can-not-be-mentioned, apparently, shows a study done in 2008 for 20-29 year olds that shows an average male height of 181.5 cm. I'd say that sounds a bit right, maybe a little tall. Most Scandinavian countries leveled off in height at least a decade, ago.

Henrik, I know for a fact that the average height of 18-year-old Swedish men was 1.79 m in 1981. Considering that average height has increased by about 1 cm per decade in the recent decades, and that some 18-year-olds haven't finished growing, I'd say that average height today must be clearly over 1.80 in Sweden.

The "tallness of Swedes" is a bit exaggerated, in my opinion and to my experience. I live in Sweden and am around 6'3". I'm taller than the vast majority when walking in a crowd. Sure, it's not really a shocking experience for me to see guys who are the same height as me or taller, but I seriously doubt that the average here goes beyond 5'11" flat (180cm). I would personally maybe even think that it's closer to 5'10" (178cm) in reality.
