His agency CV stated he was 5ft 11, but Tom himself was more honest about it.

Then a pic is taken of the group and they are confused as to why they are so short in the pic.
And similar to what you said, I have a good friend who is maybe 174 cm and he actually thought we werent much different in height. Until his wife made him stand next to me and he realized. He wears shoes that are built up because of having one leg slightly shorter than other, so walks around like a 176 cm guy.
Then you have guys who are very tall who have the opposite. They think you're similar while they are inches taller. Its very strange.

he cant really be taller than 5´9 beside dicaprio. Well if dicaprio is 182 then a fraction over is possible but i think he is closwr to 175 flat. Its strange really that he got the role as bane. If i was the director i would have hired a actor that were atleast 6´2 and 240 + pounds. They did a really great job making him seem both taller and more muscular than he really was. Just took a look at his body at the time and i think he didnt weight mutch more than about 185-190 pounds maybe. 84-7 kg ish. He put on a couple kg muscle for the role. Maybe 5 kg. 5 kg is alot to put on in that short timeframe ( i have never put on 5 kg in half a year, more like 3-4 at the most in a year) Most weight he put on was water, alot of water and a decent amount of fat. Did he put on 5 kg pure muscles without steroids? Its not impossible. DO i think he did it 100 procent natural? Maybe but i think he probably took something.I just cant see how a small guy with average genetics could put on more muscles in a ywear than me and all my powerlifting and bodybuilder friends ( the ones that didnt take stuff).I think he took a descent amount of testosterone, his back was full of pimples in every photo. was that because of testostere or just bad diet? Hard to say. the fact that he looked swollen and have mutch water weight at the time indicates that he didnt eat healthy, he was eating everything just to put on weight and that can lead to pimples. I personally can get pimples if i just eat shocolate or chips. I know many people have talked about if he was on steroids or not over the years and thats my thought. Not really steroideabuse like the rock or hemsworth (in the last year) but a small prescription of testosterone is my guess to make him put on little more than a normal dude could and dont get sideeffects. I may be wrong but he did look like so many smaller gym guys have looked over the years. They train for a short period and dont get any result and then they just blow up from nowhere ( steroids) but never really get any real results because they still doesnt workout hard enough or think about the diet, just take drugs. Let me know what you guys think.

When I lived in the East End, I met people who knew the brothers, and they said they were regular and decent guys, maintaining that London was a safer place when they were around.
Having said that, I favour the Kemp brothers as the Krays, but it’s such an interesting subject that remakes are called for. I did see a version once which was complete and utter cr@p!

@Rob By looking at him i would rule out 174 cm as some here think, are you considering upgrading him to 5'9.25? Aside from being a good actor, he can appear almost a bit tall at times, he has really good proportions. Revenant was an excellent movie, the one i liked the most with him!

What I find interesting is that someone like Hardy seems extremely comfy at 5’9 yet plenty of celebs that are ONLY 1 inch to 1.25 inches shorter seem uncomfy with their height…like Stallone, Cruise, Downey etc.

Its safe to assume any guy in Hollywood who claims a certain height, has added at least 2 inches to their real height. Especially guys who claim 5'9 and 5'10 are 5'7 max. Even 6'2 men, most of them are 6 feet or even 5'10 claiming to be the "perfect 6'2 moviestar".

I wouldnt be surprised if he was 5'6. He sure looks like it. In his movie "Warrior", his fight scene with Mad Dog Grimes and his first meeting with his brother by the beach, he looks really short and with just the big head on him. Not to mention small hands, short torso and even shorter legs.

Like he was considerably bigger than 5'10" Spidey, but not an 8 foot monster they made him in the movie.

At least he's truthful of fully cognizant of his height. What I don't get is if he's too small to play the punisher (who's 6'1 in the marvel database) how could he play venom (who's 6'3 in the same database)

Tom Hardy is at least 5’9”, he looked almost as tall as Charlize Theron in Fury Road. He did look taller as Bane though in The Dark Knight Rises, but he was wearing that movie. The guy is 5’9”, not taller or shorter.

Actually saw him a couple years back in Toronto. I’m 5’7 and was in flat shoes, he was in trainers and maybe had an intch on me. 5’8 would be generous, closer to 5’7.5 based on my experience.

Stacked against Chris Pine in particular I see a nearly 4 inch difference in height. If Pine is 6'0.5" then that puts Hardy in "weak" 5'9" territory, like 5'8.75". Also was significantly shorter than Theron in Mad Max, like a good inch at least I'd say. Mind you, I'm not pointing this out because I have something against the guy, I think he's great.

I am slim though and Tom’s buff - so could be his wide frame that makes him look shorter. He doesn’t look short though, very average height looking dude.

For one, Mario doesn't look much different with Leo than he did with Matt Damon and we know Damon is a good 1.5" shorter than Leo. Tom is also thought to be one of the more honest 5'9" guys yet he's one of the few 5'9" guys who didn't look taller than Mario. This includes weak 5'9" guys like Van Damme and Statham, both of whom looked taller than Mario on multiple occasions. At the very least, Mario's shoes look to have a bigger heel than either Tom or Leo: Click Here Click Here I'd like to see more of a side view of Mario's shoes, but if he does have any extra lift, it's not obvious to me there. Editor Robprobably couldn't tell you apart, though like in any situation, sometimes shoes/posture/camera advantage could result in some photos with one looking taller than the other.
