The Adidas Oregon (now Forest Grove) is an athletic running sneaker that was launched in 1982. Designed with the runner in mind, the shock absorption sole proved to be the model's finest feature, providing a level of comfort that many sneakers tried to emulate.
I had a pair in 2006 which I wore to a few conventions. When brand new I measured them around 2.9-3cm range, or near 1.2 inches. After a few months of wear, they seemed about 1.1 inches.
