Adidas L.A. Trainer
Height: 3.1cm (1.22in)
Adidas LA Trainers were first released in 1984 in conjunction with the Olympics. Featuring a unique shock absorption, represented by the different color pegs in the soles, these could be removed to adjust cushioning.
In terms of thickness, I measured the LA Trainer at JD Sports and found that it gave around 3.1cm, or 1.2 inches of height when new.
