Actually, the vagrants were described as โchronic schizophrenicsโ so I tried to do a bit of analysing as to what might have been happening to them, figuratively speaking, of course.
Yes, untreated schizoids hear voices, so maybe the voices they were hearing, and the dreams they were dreaming, were all geared towards the coming of the โPrince of Darknessโ. Even the studious people, including members of the clergy, were having the same dreams. It was referred to as โthe brotherhood of dreamsโ and is just the sort of thing to have scared me senseless had I seen this movie as a teenager, ie the arrival of anyone evil, as foretold some 2,000 years ago, in Jesusโs time.
โญ๏ธ There was a lad on The Chase just now getting loads of questions right, and well ahead of his young age. He pressed the buzzer to answer who Vincent Fernierโs stage name was, but his mind went blank. I bet he really knew, so impressive was his knowledge!
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 11/Apr/22
Last night I began watching the film โPrince of Darknessโ, which stars Alice Cooper as a vagrant, an โempty vesselโ, who can sense that something bad is about to happen and isnโt afraid. He DOES look taller than most of the other vagrants, but having said that, many of them are women.
Early this evening, by a touch of coincidence, I was poking and prodding about with a long stick to retrieve some CDs which had fallen behind a large bookcase. One of them was โWelcome To My Nightmareโ, by Mr Cooper himself. Iโm listening to it now, and very impressed with some bonus tracks, which are live versions of featured songs, and to my mind, superior to their original counterparts.
You can buy Alice Cooper concerts online and the one I have is fantastic. I think that acting came naturally to Alice, when you see the performance he gave onstage.

I've recently been getting seriously into The Crazy World of Arthur Brown and band member, Vincent Crane, who formed Atomic Rooster. The latter band I saw in the winter of 80/81 at the Fairfield Halls, Croydon, and Vincent Crane, the organist, and singer, John Du Cann, were completely mesmerising.
I was bowled over the other evening when I found that Arthur Brown has played onstage with Alice. When I examined Arthur's stage make-up, I thought, "Wow! Alice was very much influenced by Arthur, in the make-up - and the shock-effect - department".
Arthur, dubbed 'The God of Hellfire' after his record 'Fire', from 1968, performed the song with Alice and his band. I reckon the 79-year-old dances like a flame! ๐ฅ He used to perform onstage with five foot flames and a helmet with enormous flames spurting out - so original!
5ft9.5 for Alice. ๐ถ๐๐๐ถ
โญ Actually, there seems to be a slight difference between Alice and Arthur, Arthur being that bit taller. Look out for The Crazy World of Arthur Brown's 1968 performance of 'Fire'. It's just so freaky! Furthermore, there are at least 2-3 videos on YouTube of Arthur and Alice performing together. Check them out - you won't be disappointed! I'd like to know if Johnny Depp has performed onstage with Arthur at one of Alice Cooper's concerts....๐ค

@ Arch Stanton - Alice is indeed very cool, and anyone wishing to find out the history behind his stage name will know that he named himself after the last witch to be burnt alive in America. He is also an actor, and the film I thoroughly recommend is 'The Prince of Darkness'. He plays a minor part in it, but the film itself is excellent. The main star is Donald Pleasance, and I thoroughly rate him. He was a workaholic, and took on nearly every part offered to him.

Personally, I'm a big fan of Alice Cooper and I really like his music! I think, however, that it's time for the peak height and current height for him, because today he is 70 years old. Here are his photos alongside Cassandra Peterson and Rob Zombie from 2003, Zombie looks like a taller than him but he is wearing very massive boots:

Without these massive boots, I do not think the Zombie was taller than Cooper. I also looked at Cooper in recent years and I believe that he has already lost some height. These photos of Alice Cooper alongside Marilyn Manson date from 2013:

I also saw him next to Johnny Depp and Joe Perry in 2016. Cooper still looks considerably taller than Perry, with a poor posture he can look the same height as Johnny Depp or even a shortet than him. However, with a little better posture he still seems to be a bit taller than Depp. Here are their joint photos from 2016:

Editor Rob
Today Alice might be around 5ft 9 flat, I asked a friend who met and got a photo of Alice and Johnny Depp (in Glasgow when they were playing with their vampires band) and she thought both were taller than me. I was more astonished she paid for the 'vip meet and greet' ยฃ1000 than the 'revelation' that Depp actually looked 5ft 9 range.
I suppose Alice at times in his 30's and 40's could seem over 5ft 9.5...his footwear though might have helped that.

I saw the heights of the whole band in one of their album sleeves and Alice was 6ft, honest!
It makes sense that he'll have lost more height than many after the rock'n'roll lifestyle took its toll, though I understand that he has now settled for healthy and sober, so good luck to him!
One of my favourite albums of his was one he wrote while drying out called 'From the Inside' - the songs are incredibly deep, soul-searching and quite, quite beautiful!

I'm thinking you have Alice right at 5'9.5". Here he is with the 5'11" Susan Anton at a celebrity pro-am golf tournament (they are very likely to both be wearing golf shoes!). He does look about 1.5" shorter than Anton.

I met Alice this summer and I have picture of him beside me.I am 6.2 and Alice looks to be more than 5foot9.5.He had normal shoes on.Looked to be around 5.11.Think his hight on this site should be adjusted. He is taller than 5.9,5!

Met him last night and had a a couple of photos taken with him after the gig. We both had similar boots on. I'm 5'6", I wouldn't have said he was more than 5'9" - I'll look again when I see the photo's
