The average celebrity is certainly taller than the general population, especially because a good chunk of them are comprised of athletes and actrors/actresses. But I didn't expect the female Australian average to be 5'3.5", I'd have thought more 5'4" range.

5'6" or just over is taller than average in Australia, which according to a 2012 averaged 5'3.5" (the same average as the US average female as well as the same average male height between the countries of 5'9"). Almost throughout Asia, Africa and most of the Americas the average height for a woman is 5'3" or rather less.
On celebheights, there are more females 5'6" or within a quarter inch of 5'6" than the same criteria for those around 5'3" so you could clearly state that it is not a liability for an actress to be a few inches over average heights.

It would be fascinating to know the facts. I'd have thought that actors and actresses should represent ALL heights!

Sorry! That's not strictly true because kids DO grow faster in the Summer months, but it would seem, the end result seems to be the same!

I've had a look at the average Australian girl and she is 5ft5.5, so girls don't grow faster in hotter climates, unlike fish, who grow bigger in warmer water! 🐟🐠🐡
