@ Sandy Cowell - I hope you can be both a hat owner and a cat owner in the future, berets aren't bad either, are they? I know that your cats would be fascinating with your hats and your berets!
I like your term "power dressing", anyone can indeed express themselves by "power dressing" and I am sure the results are remarkable! It's brilliant that by experimenting with clothes and hats (and berets!) we can influence others so that they have more respect for us, most people respect other people anyway but wow, the thought that "power dressing" can cause others to subconsciously have such high levels of respect for us is incredible! Being friendly, a helpful person, and smiling at people, can also have the effect of making others think we are cool!

@ Nik - At the moment I am a CAT owner rather than a hat owner!

Indeed hats are optional, so the wearing of one does make a bold statement. It's great that 'power dressing' can subconsciously cause people to have more respect for us, whether they realise it or not. I have experimented with that sort of thing, and the results are crazily predictable!
Cheers Nik! ππ

@ Sandy Cowell - Interestingly enough the things we can change are sometimes the things which actually matter the most! Anyone can be a good person, we have control over this and changing how we dress can also have the effect of making us come over as more interesting, I suppose it's the inner person that counts and not our physical characteristics. Now onto good old hats, they certainly can make us appear taller and/or more confident or bolder! They are optional and thus they stand out a bit, a hat owner is every bit as cool as his/her hat!

π Correction Time! π
That should ideally be 'strong on THE confidence forte...'

@ Nik - I agree that the way a person dresses is a fantastic way of expressing his or her personality. That is something one's height cannot do! We have to accept the height that Nature has in store for us and cope the best we can. It's a terrific plus if we can grow to like our heights because that is the one thing we can't change, unlike hair colour, weight and the way we dress.
Hats really DO make more of a statement than most items of clothing - because they are optional, and always on show. I suppose a hat-wearer is associated with an extrovert personality, and that CAN give the impression of a person being slightly taller, and if not that then definitely someone who is strong on confidence forte!
Cheers Nik!

@ Sandy Cowell - Hats are very good as a fashion statement and some of them are very cool, my attention would certainly be drawn to someone wearing a hat and I wouldn't give a hoot about anything else, I probably wouldn't anyway! Shoes probably do promote height more than hats, but hey, they will probably both do the trick! Interesting clothing, interesting footwear, or an interesting hat, are all very cool things to possess! Aspects of a persons physical description shouldn't matter at all. We do like to observe height but I know that we value all heights equally, everyone should think like this.
Yes, popping a hat on takes away the need for someone to spend any time bothering about their hair, ha ha ha! An actual hat shop? He, he, he! Ho, ho, ho!

@ Nik - Hmmmm... I was looking in a hat shop window after my doctor's appointment on Tuesday and found myself drawn to a nice red beret with pearls sewn into it as decoration. I might yet buy it, even though it won't promote my height very much! (Shoes are MUCH better at that!) Mind you, if I see a person with a particularly striking hat, it does stop me thinking about his or her height, or lack thereof, quite so much and instead, I am drawn to the fashion statement!
And hats are so useful if your hair's a mess! He he he he! π€Άπ€

@ Sandy Cowell - The π© you described would look nice on her but the π©''s worn by Aliyah O'Brien and Christine Adams would suit Amy too!

@ Nik - Oh, OK then! She can have a little pale pink cap decorated with a small silver chain! I think that would look nice on someone of her height!
Nik said on 19/Oct/18
@ Sandy Cowell - That's very true but we could always get her one! π©!

@ Nik - But she isn't wearing a hat!

@ Sandy Cowell - or hat? π©! πππ! No, it was just a plain and simple ha!
I admire her honesty too!

@ Nik - Was that meant to be handbag or hair? π

Amy does look about 5'4" range! She has made a good career as a Television presenter and actress, the modelling world's loss is the gain of the television industry! I do like her Rubik's cube and her ha!

Don't worry about it Amy! You could be shorter, but at least you have the confidence to make a career in the limelight and look on the bright side!
5ft4 it is.πππ
