I can tell you what my dream date is like. He's dark-haired, shy and quiet, and he's on the shorter side. My 5-foot-2 looks small beside a 6-footer. I like the sincere boys - you can tell them by the look in their eyes, you know. And, of course, it helps if he has a nice personality and smile, likes children and is of my religion, too

You wouldn't picture me as a big fan of 5'3" Annette Funicello but I was! Although unlike with 5' Patty Duke 4'10" Jane Powell 4'10" Cathy Rigby (still want her on Celebheights) or 5' Barbara Mandrell (dying to have her on Celebheights too) I didn't see Annette in person but I did walk on her Hollywood Walk Of Fame star in 2010. She was very shy but she accepted being shy. She could dance and sing and if you love Annette like I do you should put her delightful "beach" musicals in your video "diet." While unlike the Best Picture Oscar winners AFI Top 100 movies or even The Magnificient Seven or any Oscar winner these cute movies are great "Electives" for your video collection! (The Best Picture AFI Top 100 Oscar winners or Rio Bravo are my video collection "Requirements." Yet I love Annette as does my 5' friend Annette Kimmett!

I lovingly agree Nik on the comment 5'3" Annette Funicello made regarding viral infections worsening MS and lupus to a degree. When Annette came down with acute viral bronchitis just after being diagnosed with MS she had a very nasty "Merlin's Size" cough from that bronchitis what no matter how much cough medicine she took to quiet that bronchitis cough she just couldn't quit coughing and had to be placed on ice to stop that nagging bronchitis cough. Yet she was a pretty petite 5'3" 114 pounds and the love she gave us will ALWAYS be with us!

Sweet! 5'1" Annette Funicello was just that! And despite her small size,she was pretty. We tend to look at Annette as being shy and much quieter than other performers. This is true. Annette was never very talkative but she sang beautifully and before multiple sclerosis ended her career,she was a very stylish dancer! She also tended to be a "plain Jane" type performer and mostly a pants wearer. She even in the mid to late 1970's and early 1980's to do some knee high nylons commercials like for L'eggs and No Nonsense. Even though Annette was petite,she sure had pretty legs! But just like with Cathy Rigby and to a degree Patty Duke,Annette ALWAYS was nicely treated in stories about her! But soon after Annette discovered she had MS,she caught a very severe attack of viral bronchitis. You could just feel what it was like for Annette with the racking coughs she battled from that bronchitis. She had to be placed on ice to calm that nagging bronchitis cough! Then she stated when MS victims develop viral infections,it worsens their MS. Then about eight months before Annette died,I found out I lost high school sweetie Beth Gerak in 2011 at 52 to MS! That really made me saddened over Annette's death,but she did bring out perfume,makeup,and cute special teddy bears to help us gain awareness of just how devastating MS is. But whether Annette was 5'1" or 5'3",I'll ALWAYS love Annette!

Annette Funicello sure was pretty! Although she stated in her autobiography A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes she was 5'3",she was small. She looks to me about 5'1". I miss her,but I nailed her Babes In Toyland DVD Oct.1 as a tribute to her. I loved petite Annette and ALWAYS will!

Ah! I've just read Annette's description of her ideal man and no way was this one a shallow girl.
She would sooner have had a shorter man if he was genuine, and liked the same things as she did!
