In Piranha he looked taller than this, Rob - he frequently appeared near 5ft 11 in films - often around 5ft 10.5in. The average guess is closer, but as others have noted - 179 seems very close.

Also, there are some good pictures of him and Caine - Dillman doesn't really looks more than 3 inches shorter.
Would an upgrade be considered?
In Piranha he looked taller than this, Rob - he frequently appeared near 5ft 11 in films - often around 5ft 10.5in. The average guess is closer, but as others have noted - 179 seems very close.

He could look 4" taller than Stockwell...
I'd say 179 cm/5ft 10.5in or max weak 180 is the safest bet for Dillman. Thoughts?

No doubt more 5’10” than 5’11” (great downgrade) with Wagner and Hunter but I would think probably a strong 178cm as opposed to a weak one. Dillman looked over 5’10” too often.

He edged out Harry Guardino in the Dirt Harry flicks and seemed quite rangy in Piranha. And Wagner was likely a bit over 5ft 11...
I think 5ft 10.5 could be spot on for Dillman.

Great downgrade Rob. I recall a doorman even described Dillman’s character as six feet in an episode of Murder, She Wrote; I knew I was right to doubt that claim from the beginning.

In the opening of the below video, 6’0” Jeffrey Hunter has two inches on Dillman and 5’11” Robert Wagner has a full inch on Dillman.

In Gold, there wasn’t much more than an inch between Dillman and Beckley. I even reckon Dillman was a tad under 5’11”, as John Gielgud was a tad taller in Gold. In Revenge of the Pink Panther, there was also about an inch between Peter Sellers and Beckley, but 5’11.5” Robert Webber had at least a couple of inches on Beckley I thought, so although there’s a good chance Beckley was over 5’9”, he was probably more 5’9” than 5’10”.

Braddie doesn't look old enough to have been in 'Sudden Impact'! I saw it at the pictures and my then boyfriend went through my purse and found my ticket. He went mad because he didn't believe that anyone would go to the pictures on his/her own. He beat me up.
