with angelo romani you have the master evidence he was max max 6'1"-6'1.25"(185-186cm). He was just a couple of inches(5cm) taller than romani. A legit 6'3"-6'4"(192-193cm) would have towered over 5'11"(180cm) angelo romani. Bud, you have proven bud spencer was under 6'2.75"(190cm), like i always said. When he was very young as a swimmer, he was max 6'1.5"(187cm) for sure. 6'3"-6'4"(192-193cm) is a joke.

in some sites Cammarelle is listed as 192 cm.
For me 191.5 in the morning and 188.5 in the evening.
In that picture I see only 5-6 cm difference but maybe bud had higher shoes.

I think bud is now 184 in the morning and 181 at night but sometimes it seems 179-180 because of his horrible posture
As a young man I think 192-193 in the morning are correct.

bud is with amateur heavyweight boxer roberto cammarelle. Pics of about 3 years ago, bud was 80, but still in good shape. Cammarelle is always listed at 6'2.75"(190cm), bud looks 6ft-6'0.75"(183-185cm) with cammarelle. Impossible he was 6'3"-6'4"(192-193cm) at his peak. Bud peak was 6'1.25"-6'1.5"(186-187cm), when he was a young swimmer. Anyway, i do NOT see him over 6'2"(188cm)at his peak. Absolutely.

Against the evidence starts the "troll accuse", if i am a troll you are a fanboy. ok, rob can you say your opinion about the difference between peter graves and bud spencer. Starting point is peter graves was 6'3"-6'3.25"(191-192cm). I do not know if it is true or not, but they say that height. I see 2 full inches between graves and spencer, so i say spencer looks in the 6'1"(185cm) range with graves. Both worn cowboy boots, same ground level.

coburn looks about 7-8cm taller than murphy. There is more or less the same difference coburn-murphy and bud-graves. Murphy's top head is at the same level of coburn's eyes. So with murphy at 5'9.25"(176cm), coburn is 6ft-6'1"(183-185cm). (6'1"(185cm) is the max acceptable. And bud looks more or less as tall as coburn, or just a little bit taller. So bud was 6'1"-6'1.5"(185-187cm max)

6'1" with Pippo Baudo and he was in his 40ies. bud peak 6'1.5" (187cm). terence hill was never 5'11.5"(182cm), absolutely, he was about 5'10"-5'10.5"(177-178cm).Also you have to consider they often worn cowboy boots in their movies, so 2 inches(5cm) heels. anyway, i do not see bud spencer over 6'1.5"(187cm) peak barefoot.

I think he looked best in his late 40s. He is absolutely HUGE but still athletic strong and AWESOME looking in Flatfoot in Africa (think he was 48 when they made that). Wonderful movie. And Bud dances in that movie. Despite weighing 300 lbs he moves so smooth and you can tell he is very flexible. He was a tremendous athlete for sure.

As for his height...I´m close to Robs estimate. Between 6-2 to 6-3 is what he looked in the movies.

But at 340 lbs he looked fat and not so good. Today he is down to 275 lbs again.

That is soo wrong,he was very fit till the age of 35,after that he put up a little weight,but he wasn't so fat to loose height, he was pretty fat at the age of 46,before that he was only overweight,or a little obese.He was 6'75 in his 40s,he looked that height with James Coburn ,Joe Bugner,who Rob sad that was legit 6'4 guy.From 37-45 he was only overweight,anyway that kind of weight wont make him loose height. If you go to see the photos when he was a swimmer always seemed very high also because the photos are set to swimmers (usually high), and not to ordinary people.
Now it is down a lot and seems to be even lower for the horrible posture (it seems that not even the neck)
For me as a young man was really 192/193 in the morning (190 in the evening)
By age 40 he had already turned down a lot because of the weight (189 in the morning)
Now I think it's 184 in the morning and 181 in the evening

From personal experience the people after the age of 80 can be lowered even 5 or more inches (10 cm)

Rob, he did claim 192 and 193 many times in italian interviews. Doubt he's ever been that tall... 6'2.75 is a good guess for a very young Bud, since it's very possible that he already lost a fraction over 40s... I think he might still measure over 6'0 today, if he stood at his tallest, at 84 years old!!

Nesta has been listed 6'1"-6'1.5"(185-187cm)through his career. Bud was clearly 3-4 full inches shorter than nesta. Ok he was almost 80. He looked max 5'11" with nesta at 80, it is impossible he was 6'3" at 20!. I think bud peak height was 6'1"-6'1.25"(185-186cm). Anyway i do not see him over 6'1.5"(187cm) at his peak. Absolutely.

Yes, looks 6'2 at 63 years of age. But he could be taller given the fact that he has massive girth putting pressure on the intervertebral discs in his back. So he could still have hit 6'3 out of bed at that age.
But of course, that would still not be his height since weight pulling him down or otherwise he would not have been able to make use of his potential height.

He is frequently listed as 6'4 in his youth and give that weight and other factors might have taken their toll on him I don't see 6'3.5 peak for him as being out of the question. But in this clip 6'2 for sure.
Nowadays, given the same weight and being over 80 years old I would be surprised if he was over 6.0,5'

Bud Spencer was never 6'4" like he was pretending. I'm a big fan and I saw all his movies and pictures, he was 6'2"-6'2.5" before the 80's and barely 6'0 today. Terence Hill is 5'10" and always wears cowboy boots or huge sneakers that put him in the 5'11.5"-6'0" range.

That photo is very usefull, he is in socks there.He looks 6ft2 there,but when he filmed that episode of Extralarge he was already 63 years old.Rob sad a man at that age shrinks usually half an inch,so Bud in his prime was AT LEAST 6ft2.5,but i think a big guy like him easily can shrunk one inch at that age so alomst 6ft3 prime looks alright for Buds height. With Thomas Gottchalk who was 6ft3.5, he was on inch taller than Hugh Laurie,Bud looked 6ft1.5,but at that time he was already 65 and he sad his weight than was 340 pounds, weighing that much can make people shrink more than an avarage guy would,that is a lot of strain on the spine.

Italian Swimming Federation (FIN) data tells he was 193 cm for 102 kg at the age of 23.... In that time's pictures he looked like a mountain of muscles!! In the '80s, when he played many comedy-action roles, he declared a weight of 134 kg. In the last 20 years I know he took care of his health for his heart, eyes...and to grow old well!
I saw him recently in television and some photos and he seemed very close to 190 cm here indicated...

I've seen him 2 or 3 years ago at a book signing and he did look 5'11.5" max with my 5'9" mate.

He must have lost at least 3 inches from his peak or it was just his posture.
