Yep, is possible 5'8.25 for Isaiah, but i don't think 5'8 flat.
Canson said on 27/May/16
@Clear: Isaiah himself says he's 5'8. He had an interview since he's been with the Celts where he said it and also in the clip below. I think they either did a morning measurement or they fudged it up like a lot of others

He is shorter, he is taller than Ai when they are together by a tad bit. But no one is exactly the same height.
Id say a tad below 6ft with shoes, AI is 5ft11 with shoes but not many people are billed as 5ft11

Nate Robinson 172,5 and Isaiah Thomas 174,5. Measured at draft with this proof photo, I think it suits perfectly that heights

MD said on 13/Jan/16
@plus, it doesn't, but I think that would show, then, that Thomas is mismeasured or measured early in the morning, as Robinson's height is even more well documented. Point is that neither of them is 5'9".
Canson said on 22/Dec/15
They throw .75 on a lot of measurements even if a person is lower in the range it appears. Ever notice we don't see .375 or .625 like you would in the NFL. I notice with draymond green. He doesn't look almost 6'6 esp on the court with someone like Shawn Livingston who supposedly measured just half inch taller than him. He's prob closer to 6'5 just like Alvin gentry said he's closer to 6!5 than 6'6
plus said on 15/Dec/15
@MD thanks for the info, in this pic it doesn't look like 3 cm of difference between them

MD said on 10/Nov/15
@plus, not only could Thomas not be 176 cm, but he wasn't even measured at a full 5'9" at the NBA draft combine. He was measured at 5'8.75" without shoes, and definitely looks it. In fact, he's the shortest player drafted since Nate Robinson, who was measured at 5'7.75" without shoes at his NBA draft camp.
plus said on 7/Nov/15
What about Isaiah Thomas from Boston Celtics the shortes in the NBA, he is listed 5'9 , the same as Nate Robinson free agent currently. Isaiah Thomas don't look very short, he could be even 176 cm

Don't blindly trust the nba draftexpress height stated without shoes. Chris Paul is really not 5'11.75 and certainly look just 5'11 range with alot of evidence with other players. At the most he could be few mm over 180cm

I don't see much a footwear advantage for either of the two. Anyway, Chris certainly isn't any taller than currently listed, and to me, it looks like they are the same height if both were to stand ram-rod straight.

Maybe 5'11.25-11.5 depending on the measurement time.
@Modeus
Chris is roughly under Griffin's mouth that's more a strong 8" maybe 8.5"tops assuming he has a bigger head than average he's no more than 6'8 and 6'8.5" is rather in the morning.

Rob, could he be another case of a very early measurement? He really can look more 5'11 flat next to Kobe... Maybe 5'11.75 out of bed?
Editor Rob
possible a 5ft 11.5 guy and nearer 6ft out of bed.

There is no way he's under 5'11". Look at the picture MD posted of him with Riggie Bush. 5'10" is a joke.

Joakim Noah? He's a tad bit underneath 6'11 while Bosh is a strong 6'10. Chris Paul is 5'10.

The combine measurements aren't wrong.
They actually measured him barefoot and he was 5'11.75".

Paul: 6'0/5'11.75 (183/182)
*Parker has claimed 186 himself, and has been listed at this by the French national team several times
Then consider this for Kevin Durant, next to Anthony Davis. Picture taken two months after Davis measured 6'9.25 (from last years All-Star game photo it really doesn't seem neither Davis nor Durant has grown that much, but they come across as really tall because of long limbs and small heads).

Yeah MD that is true. He is exactly 180 cm tall on the combine page. It is just strange to see him listed just over an inch higher on his page. Some players are downgraded at 7/8 of an inch sometimes.
MD said on 28/Dec/14
Cyrpto, whatever they are listed at once they get on a team, the combines and pro day measurements are fairly reliable. As I said, Reggie Bush was measured at just under 5'11". This is not a secret.
Crypto139 said on 25/Dec/14
If Paul is 182 cm then Bush is not at his 6 feet even listing the NFL has him at. The NFL is strange with listings at times. Most of them are quite close but some are just downright strange. You have people like Bush, Steve Young, and Deion Sanders who are listed a bit above what they are. Then most are listed at where they should be. Then you have Adrian Peterson and Brett Favre who are listed under what they really are in my opinion.

for his height I think it looks pretty average, I wouldn't have guessed it much under average anyway.

KROC, a lot of people think their taller than other people when they are shorter or the same height. I know this guy that said he was taller than Adrian Peterson who measured 6104 which is 6-1 something and that's at the combine. Funny thing is he had a picture side by side with JJ Barea who is clearly less than 6 foot and he was the same height as JJ Barea who is really only 5-10 w/o shoes or actually he might even be an inch shorter than JJ Barea. The shoulders we're nearly level. I'm thinking Adrian is taller than JJ Barea and he's saying he's taller than Adrian lol
MD said on 2/May/14
@KROC,
Good. I was genuinely saying I'd be happy to see them, since I've never seen him look much shorter than he's currently listed.

Him being 5'11 is ridiculous. Ive seen him up close too many times to know better. I'll post some pictures Monday to support this claim.
MD said on 1/May/14
This simply isn't the case. If you have some pictures showing him at 5'10", we'd be more than happy to see them. He may not quite be 6'0", but anything under 5'11" seems ridiculous.
KROC said on 30/Apr/14

kroc that could be because your spine compresses and so morning height is not really accurate...when you are laying down you are taller, so if you get up and measure right away that's not really accurate because that's not the height you are most of the day...that's my opinion

I wonder, why he isn't listed at 6 ft 1 on NBA official site, since that is his height in shoes.
Bosnia said on 8/Nov/13
Sorry, that is my mistake then. I didnt convert right inches to cms, so I was of by 1 cm. Sorry.
MD said on 8/Nov/13
@Bosnia, you're confusing me (and it looks like Rob, too). Your' telling me what to type in, but then you repeat the height he's currently listed (5'11" 3/4). That's the only height I've ever seen him listed.
Again, get us the link to the pre-draft measurement. It's been some days, now.
Bosnia said on 7/Nov/13
Rob, what do you think about that 181 cm pre draft measurments? I also think that if he is 182 cm, he would be listed 6ft 1 in NBA, yet he is "only" listed 6ft.
Editor Rob
he has a 5ft 11.75 predraft measurement, hence why I listed him at it. I've no idea about any 5ft 11.25 mention though
Bosnia said on 5/Nov/13
@MD Just type "Chris Paul pre draft measurment". I just found it again but having problem tocpost it because Im on phone. It says Dwight Howard is measured barefeet 6ft9, Nate Robinson 5ft7.75, CP3 5ft 11 3/4 but Shaq is 7 ft 1 barefeet.

@Bosnia,
Give us a link to the pre-draft measurement. That would be great.
Anyway, for reference (and both in dress shoes), Chris with 5'11.5" Jimmy Kimmel:

Maybe 181cm is actually closer to his height, and the 182cm draft height was a measured morning height.
BTW, kind of off topic, but if Chris is 181-182, what does this make singer Miguel (far left) in this picture?
I've asked, because I've seen this guy listed at 5'8" and there is no way, right?
Bosnia said on 1/Nov/13
Rob, did you read his predraft measurments? It writes there that he is 181 cm without shoes and 183 with shoes.

Kobe even claims to be 6'4", but was measured at 6'4.75". Chris Paul's offical NBA listing is 6ft and that's likely with shoes. Nowitzki claims to be 6'11" and is listed at 7ft. Wade is probably 6'3"
Lo sgozzatore said on 18/Aug/13
But Kobe is supposed to have been measured 6'4.75 and he actually doesnt look any taller than

remember photos can sometimes enhance or reduce one person.
Look at Bryant with Wade and Chris. Wade being measured almost 6ft 4 and Paul almost 6ft I think is reasonable enough.

CP3s wingspan is 6'4'', average for a NBA PG but his steals rate is insane. Somehow his reach is only 7'9''. Im 6' lowest height 6'2'' wingspan and mines 7'10''. I suspect some players slack 2 inches on reach for 2 inches more vertical leap. CP3 got a 38'' vertical which is still good for a PG.
AD said on 28/Feb/13
How can you tell the difference between 5'11.75 and 6 feet tall
Tony said on 8/Jan/13
@MD Well Barefoot yes I am quite sure the average is under 6'1, here is a quote from the w1kipedia page" Most current NBA point guards are between 5'9" and 6'4" (1.78 m -1.93 m) in height. In 2011 the average height of point guards in the NBA was just over 6'1" Just go to the w1kipedia page on point guard if you want to read it
A lot of players don't even have barefoot heights documented so I would think that would drive the average up(Rondo, Chalmers, and Jennings do not have barefoot heights documented but are all listed 6'1)
Tony said on 4/Jan/13
@Sak Yeh he is quite small for an NBA player, but for a point in the NBA, I'd imagine the average is probably around or slightly under 6'1(barefoot), However length is important too (wingspan and
Standing Reach, one reason why the sport is mostly African American, they typically have longer arms)
SAK said on 4/Jan/13
He must feel really small when playing bb. But in daily life probably feels tallish.
