Watch Dana Whites Video Blog.. when Conor and Dana both arrive on the tarmac, Conor looks nearly as tall as Dana who's said to be 5'11". He looked a good 2 inches taller than Floyd. And Eddy Alvarez who they say is also 5'9" Conor was WAYY taller than him. Day 2, look at Floyd's sneakers when they're facing each other in Toronto.. looks like they add nearly 2''. From the looks of Conor he's 5 9.5 to 5.10 or they're all shorter than reported.

UFC fans know Poirier is a legit 5'9 and Conor looks 1-2 cm taller than him during the barefoot press faceoffs. And in the last MayMac press conference Mayweather wore serious lits and Conor was still taller. Conor McGregor can't be shorter than 5'9 no matter what, night or not.

both their footwear actually look similar, a little over an inch range I'd have thought.

This 5'8.5 ft listing is spot on. Mcgregor had about 3cm on mayweather during their staredown. But Conor looked like he was wearing thick heeled black dress shoes to appear more imposing while mayweather had flat sneakers.
Guesstimator said on 12/Jul/17
Would it really be 2 inches? They were both wearing shoes at the Toronto presser and they both were at the same eye and chin level.

McGregor appears to have a bigger forehead and a bit of a quiffed hairstle going on but it doesn't look like 2 inches to me, looks more like 2cm tbh.

Surprising as he's supposed to be a lot bigger. Even Malignaggi says he was was smaller than he was expecting.

@powerhouse

yawn. he's just an insecure lift-wearer. 5'8 flat

Easy 2 inches on Floyd. More I see of McGregor less convinced I am that he just is 5'8.5.
Mcgregormayhoe said on 12/Jul/17
I'd say spot on close to 5'9 I think he had 2 inches OK Floyd and Floyd wore that hat on purpose so couldn't size them up correctly. Big conor fan but his gonna get boxed up but at least he will make a ton of cash.

Given all the talk here I was expecting him to look so much taller than Floyd at the conference yesterday. He didn't.
datguy said on 11/Jul/17
so how much taller would you say he is than floyd after the staredowns? i thought it was a bit over an inch
Editor Rob
wouldn't have thought less than 3cm.
Gaz said on 11/Jul/17
And sorry Rob when i said i hope they don't wear lifts i meant in the press conference because it's hard to judge their height against each other in the ring and even in the stare down right before the fight.
jonsnow said on 11/Jul/17
conor looks like a giant compared to most fw because they inflate their height by several inches and conor went full skeletor mode to make the 145 lbs weight limit. boh chad mendes and brandao, respectively listed at 5'6'' and 5'7'' are more like 5'4'' for example
Peter175 said on 11/Jul/17
Just saw the staredown with Floyd. Need to see their shoeware, but just from a quick look, about 3-4 cm different between the two. 1.5 more than floyd is my guess
Levi said on 11/Jul/17
Had at least a inch on Floyd in their last press conference. Though could have had the footwear advantage.
DruceLee said on 11/Jul/17
What do you think now after press conference Connor 175cm, Floyd 171 ?

he looked considerably taller than mayweather during their staredown... and mayweather was wearing a hat

I'd say 5 '8.5 is bang on! He is slim at around 160 -162 (11 and a half stone) current walkaround - so could easily appear to look taller proportion -wise. He never looks 5 '8 but neither looks anywhere near 5 '10. I guess I'd put Mayweather at 5'7.5.

Rob you must be curious to see how Conor and Floyd stack up against each other lol i know i am. Just hope none of them have lifts! lol

how much Conor has on Floyd will be interesting...

I doubt they'll have lifts in the ring! The only lifting that I can see happening is when the referee hoists Conor up from the ground after being knocked out 👊 🤛

Hey big rob, the stature in the official page of the UFC always add (1-1.5 cm) to the fighters for example to mc gregor in ufc: 1.75 (celebheights: 1.74) / jose aldo: 1.70 (celebheights: 1.68.5) / Chad mendes in cfu: 1.68 (celebheights: 1.65); Because this can happen, maybe they measure with shoes? ; Do you think we should all reduce 1.5 cm from your cfu listing to get real heights?,You could analyze enrique barzola stature in ufc: 1.70, has the appearance of 1.68
Editor Rob
it's like with Boxing, some people might be honest, others give a slightly inflated figure.

It would be useful if they introduced an official measuring, in addition to the weigh-in.

I know because of the divisions and weight variance it is more interesting, but seeing an actual measurement is very interesting for fans.

Well I'm assuming the measure mixed martial artist barefoot. Unlike many sports where the measure athletes with shoes. However they probably did round his height up a little bit. I think it's safe to say he's probably over 5'8" flat but not quite a full 5'9".
Miamiman said on 22/Mar/17
I think a fight that everybody would like to see is Jorge Masvidal vs Mcgregor and then Masvidal vs Khabib. I'm pretty sure Masvidal would do sooo much work on them both.
Josh said on 22/Mar/17
@Sonny Black... Conor would have a nervous breakdown if someone told him he was 5'8. If the UFC changed his height to 5'8, then the UFC would change everyone else's height to what they are actually are. There are a lot of fighters who are the same age as him and are not actually the height they say they are, which I think is a joke but it is what it is. They would have a nervous breakdown as well. The UFC treats everyone differently when it comes to height. We all have to consider him being 5'9 is fake.
Sonny Black said on 16/Mar/17
Wish they would measure fighters like they weigh them... I've met some UFC personalities and all were shorter than expected.
I've met:
- Diego Sanchez (listed 5'10-5'11. Actual height 5'8 flat)
- Mark Coleman (listed 6'1. Actual height 6'0)
- Frank Mir (listed 6'3. Actual height 6'1.5)
- Michael Bisping (listed 6'1-6'2. Actual height 5'11.5)

Conor walks around at about 168lbs-170lbs and in my estimation is likely 5'8 out of bed and slightly under that when he goes to bed.
josh jeffords said on 11/Mar/17
This is an absolute max on a good day estimate he wont see 510 or 11 out of shoes.
Seen him do lots of promo stuff and fights he is a small man, he always makes fun of people bigger than him common defense for such.
That being said his boxing and some of his other strikes as well as "movement" or footwork to the educated is great!
His weight is probably down to 150 so he can box that short guy, he has been up around 170 was not impressive too small for welter weight.

rational thinker said on 5/Mar/17
if you look at the measuring video, the guy's finger was just below 71, so a) he rounded up, b) he also measured from top of his heavily styled hair (gotta be at least inch of hair there), c) the tape was not against the wall, the guy leaned in with the tape to measure hence tape was slanted (which means measurement distortion) d) finally, though to even get close to 71 inches barefoot reading (albeit in a distorted manner) dude's gotta be around 5'9"
Editor Rob
actually it was the 'Big G Supertape' the guy was using...

@Kourosh: Yeah he's maybe getting a solid inch from the sneakers, I don't know, maybe you have some input on that Rob? Conor also has a tad worse posture I think, so around 5'8.5 makes sense. It's hard to argue over that mark though if Rooney is only 5'9 flat.

The measurement in question is even better evidence of him being less that 5'9" lol. @ Levi

in first statement you said that Bruce was not a fighter which is an absurd claim to make. Even Conor himself stated that bruce could compete in the actual fight. Here it is Click Here this is the man's own thoughts on legend of Bruce lee. Difference between bruce and MMA fighters is that bruce lee was training to kill or to be killed which i cannot say that for the pro fighters.

Whether you agree or not, Bruce Lee is the biggest icon in Martial arts world. I am an amateur fighter myself , and every gym i have been to i see his picture on the wall.

Peace out bro.
Levi said on 19/Feb/17
@Kourush Bruce did not fight professionally like Conor McGregor does. There is a difference between training martial arts techniques, compared to being put into a cage against a guy who is trying to apply those techniques to you. Could Bruce fight? Certainly. But he was a actor and not a professional fighter. Conor would destroy him in a real fight. He's larger (Rob has him pegged taller, and I'd trust Rob), heavier with actual fighting experience and extensive grappling knowledge.
Kourosh 5'9.5 (176cm-177cm) said on 18/Feb/17

Rob didn't you have Conor listed at 173cm? What happened?
Editor Rob
overall I feel nearer 174 may be the better figure
Levi said on 14/Feb/17
Yeah Jones is bigger and taller, hence fighting at a higher weight class. Conor is a two division champion, Jones fights in one weight division. Jones also uses grappling and had a lot of fights end by decision. Conor ends the vast majority of his bouts with knockouts from striking. The first simultaneous two division world champion who wins his fights in dominating fashion with striking, making pound for pound greats look like amateurs, is not a better striker than Jon Jones who struggled to outstrike a journey man like OSP? Jones is also a known drug cheat. Jones wins most of his fights using his massive size advantage and a mix of great clinch work and abusinf his freakish height and long arms. Conor wins his fights using technical and accurate striking with nasty counters... And despite fighting at lower weight classes (where knockouts are statistically less likely) he still has a far superior knockout ratio than Jones who for most of his career fought blown up middleweights.

Bruce was an actor, not a fighter.
Cvgo95 said on 13/Feb/17
@Dashlin. Maybe you have been watching it for a long time, that doesn't change the fact that you're completely clueless when it comes to MMA. Being illiterate doesn't help either. You're acting as if I said Jones is a bad fighter. A lot of people would consider him pound for pound number 1, that doesn't change the fact that his striking isn't his main attribute whatsoever. Gustafsson completely out-struck Jones in their fight. Also, if you actually followed MMA you'd know that JJ's opposition has been nothing compared to McGregor's. Jones's best win was against Cormier. Whereas McGregor knocked out the greatest featherweight of all time, who was pound for pound number 1 at the time. That's more impressive than anything Jones has ever done. Taking nothing away from Jones, who's a truly incredible fighter himself.
The fact that you think Bruce Lee could beat McGregor renders your opinion irrelevant anyway. Not to mention the fact that you think GSP has better striking than McGregor. By your logic Sylvester Stallone would've knocked out a prime Mike Tyson.
Levi said on 11/Feb/17
Dashlin your hate for McGregor is pretty obvious. You'd probably peg him at 5'7" if you could. Conor has the best striking in MMA currently, nobody KOs the P4P #1 in 13 seconds and makes Eddie Alvarez look silly. Also your ignorance about MMA is clear, Jones and GSP are known for their well rounded games, no primarily striking like McGregor.
Conor would kill Bruce Lee who was an actor, not a fighter. Bruce also would know nothing about the wrestling and Jiu Jitsu of today. Maybe Bruce would have potential to be a good MMA fighter, but we'll never know. What we do know is that Conor would destroy Bruce in a MMA fight.
Cvgo95 said on 11/Feb/17
@Dashlin. You've clearly never watched the sport in your entire life. Anyone that follows MMA and has no bias knows that McGregor is a far superior striker to both Jones and GSP. Did you honestly just mention GSP? That proves you've never watched him. I consider GSP to be one of the greatest MMA fighters ever. That being said, anyone that knows anything about the sport knows that his main weakness is his striking. GSP isn't a striker whatsoever. Watch GSP v Diaz to see what GSP does against strikers. Bruce Lee? McGregor would squash him. The man was great no doubt, but he never even had the chance to fight professionally. That's like saying Chuck Norris would've beat GSP.
Cvgo95 said on 8/Feb/17
@SL9. You can't possibly believe that. "John Cena can fight" What are you talking about? No he can't. John Cena is an actor. Whereas Conor McGregor is one of, if not the best striker in MMA. That's like saying Dolph Lundgren would've beat Mike Tyson in a fight. One's an elite level fighter, whilst one is a actor with zero combat skills or talent. Size only matters when there's a similar skill level.
SL9 said on 8/Feb/17

SL9 said on 8/Feb/17
@CVGO9 No he woudln't, John Cena can fight as well, and he is just too big for him. He could get lucky and get up behind him for a chokehold but the most likely outcome is Cena stomping him.

He is very verbal and vocal probably to compensate due to his lack in size...but putting that aside...my estimate is maybe 5'9 straight out of bed but around 5'8 during most of the day and about 5'7 and a half at late evening time. Poirier was a bit taller than him at face off even while McGregor had Nike Air Max shoes on. I would say 5'8 (173 cm) for McGregor unless this site uses straight out of bed height?
Levi said on 8/Jan/17
McGregor is similar to or perhaps even taller than Athony Pettis. Watch their fights with Eddie Alaverez, Conor clearly looks the larger of the two in comparison. Despite his shorter listing. Also Pettis is losing to everybody including Eddie, who Conor just beat.

Nate Diaz is close to the same height as Bisping: Click Here

Contrary to his listing on this site, Bisping is not really 6'1" - he is shorter than Brian Stann, who is 6'1". I'd say Bisping is 6'0.5" (at the most) and Nate Diaz is 6'0"-6'0.5". A good listing for Nate would probably be 6'0.25", although he could be 6' flat.

I don't know of the whereabouts of the reliability on this source however if it is indeed the legit billed stats of MMA fighters, then anything close to a 0.25 inch to 6ft looks ok for him, being said he does look a solid 3inches taller than Connor who Is 5'9, so at the very least 6ft though as you said he might as well look 184 during the daylight ( I watched his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel) and do consider the fact that athletes give a taller pose than ordinary men. My guess for Nate 6'0 and would believe in 6ft 0.25inch but 6ft 0.75inch would be the most generous claim for him.

I would say he can get away with claiming 5ft9 because he looks it at times. The lowest that I think he hits is 5ft8.25 at night and wakes up close to a full 5ft9. 5ft8.5 seems like a fair listing thought I think 5ft8.75 is more near his height during the day.
tbootty said on 24/Dec/16
Conor seems taller due to abnormally long arms with an actual 72" reach whereas most people in the 5'8"-5'9" range have about 68"-70" reach. In the European circuit he was listed 5'8" and I seriously doubt they would give him less than he was. In my opinion 5'8.5 is perfect guess.

Poirier and Conor had to do some press shots where they stood eye to eye with straight posture. Conor slightly edged out Dustin due to his larger head, eye level was similar

everything you said was correct except for poirier. poirier was taller than him at the barefoot weigh-in and in the octagon. they were on only one occasion the same height at a press conference staredown when conor had the dress shoes advantage. poirier is also taller than many opponents he's fought that were listed at 5'10 like michael johnson and bobby green, but I don't think he's 5'10. just an actual honest 5'9

I have never seen McGregor stand on his tip-toes at weigh-ins or anywhere else. I would like to see proof of that. I have seen him stand at his tallest and raise his eye level as an intimidation tactic used against shorter opponents, but I have never seen him on his tip-toes.
Levi said on 16/Dec/16
Closer to 5'9" than 5'8". He is the same height as many listed 5'10" fighters such as Anthony Pettis or Doo Ho Choi. He was far taller than 5'9" listed Alvarez and edged out Poirier in a barefoot face off. Of course Alaverez 5'9" listing is false, and so are Pettis and Chois listings, but Conor certainly seems to big for 5'8". He is clearly taller than Joe Rogan when Rogan is in his big dress shoes.

Also to the guy saying Diaz let Conor win and would have won due to his height, you srs? Conor beat him to hell and back in the second contest.

Rob, do you think fighters dip below their regular "absolute low" height when they cut water weight for a fight? If so, by how much? When McGregor is weighing in at 145, very dehydrated, having potentially cut more than ten percent of his weight in water, do you think he would measure under 5'8"?

hard to predict without testing, but under some circumstances like getting to a certain weight, I do believe a few mm lower than normal is entirely feasible.

I was referring to him as "Mexican" in the same way that I'd refer to James Gandolfini as "Italian" or Constance Wu as "Taiwanese". Its fairly common when discussing height. @John, while the first part of that correction is right, Mexican Americans being significantly taller than Mexians doesn't mean anything since it's relative. The most recent average heights (divided by sex, age, race, etc...) just came out a month or so ago. Mexican Americans in there 20's and 30's still only average 5'8", which is still two full inches under white and black Americans.

I though 5'9 was pretty legit for him tbh.

@Randomdude

Nate Diaz and Donald Cerrone are the same height - they are both about six feet tall. Nate Diaz had shoes on after the weigh-in, which is why he looked somewhat taller.

I really dont like this guy, but he is 5'9.
Lee said on 29/May/16
Lol he does not look 3.5 inches taller than Ronda in that pic. Because of the angle it looks like he is more taller than her than he actually is. If we got to see the stare down from a proper angle, Conor is only about 3 inches taller than her at most. She is a strong 5'5" (5'5.25" or so) which would make Conor a strong 5'8" (5'8.25"). So Rob's current listing of 5'8.25" is pretty much spot-on.

one guy who is def not his UFC listed height is Cowboy Cerrone he is listed at 6'1 yet was shorter than legit 6'0 Nate Diaz

and also was about the same height as his recent opponent the brazilian cowboy who was listed at 5'11

I would give Donald Cerrone 5'11 5'11.5 at the absolute most on a good day

Staredown with Ronda Rousey for Bud Light: Click Here. He looks about 3.5 inches taller. Commercial should air soon.

Good listed! He looks exactly at that mark.

5'8.5 at night and 5'9 in the morning seems like a reasonable call. Overall, a very strong 5'8 guy.
Gaz said on 18/May/16
Lol yeah 5'6 is quite extreme. I can't see him below 5'8 at all. I wouldn't be surprised if he is 5'9 like he claims or just a bit under.
Kourosh said on 17/May/16
Conor is strong solid 5'8 at worst.

5'8.5 or 174cm is good call. Anyhing below 5'8 is absolute joke.
Original said on 14/May/16
lol for 5'6 hahaha and Nick Diaz 5'10, Jose Aldo 5'4/5'4.5, Mendes 5'2.5/5.3?
Oscar said on 13/May/16
5'6" is a joke, he is taller than 5'7" Joe Rogan when Rogan is in shoes and McGregor is barefoot. 174 seems reasonable to me, not quite 5'9".
Jeff said on 12/May/16
I just don't buy the 5'9 one bit. I would say 5'6 max. Everyone lies about their height. But check out his Instagram. He literally isnt taller than anybody in his pics. Professional photos can be deceiving. Instagram got more of a personal touch. And to me its pretty obvious he isn't 5'9, not even close!
Darthrob said on 10/May/16
I'd be pretty confident that Nate diaz is minimum 184cm. I don't like conor that much but I feel he could be pretty close to the 175cm he claims, was definitely a good bit shorter than diaz though, would be a good one to get a pic with sometime Rob if you ever got the chance.
BT said on 8/May/16
@Editor Rob: What would you guess for the Diaz brothers? I thought they could be the same height, but Nate does look a bit taller.
Editor Rob
at the moment don't have a guess on them.
Original said on 8/May/16
Maybe I was wrong... He's 3' shorter than Gunnar (5'11).
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 5/May/16
Spot on. I guessed somewhere in the 5ft8-8½ zone and can look near 5ft9 at times.
MD said on 4/May/16
If he'd edge out Khan, then why is Khan's 173 rounded up, here? It's weird to say it's not impossible, which implieds that McGregor is AT LEAST as tall as Khan, but have Khan the higher listed of the two. Perhaps the quarter-inch, at least, needs to be shaved off of Khan? Either that, or you have to upgrade McGregor a full half inch for the comment to make sense.
Editor Rob
I was going to give McGregor a strong 5ft 8.
Andy 185cm said on 2/May/16
Here is Nate with his brother Nick. Wow Nate looks very tall. Click Here
Andy 185cm said on 2/May/16
@Rob You should really add Nate Diaz. He is by far the most popular UFC star after Mcgregor today!
Phil said on 1/May/16
Both he and Amir Khan are listed at 173. Do you think McGregor would edge Khan out Rob?
Editor Rob
not impossible
