@Jawilder: that’s a good possibility too. But I think something like 6’0.25 is as high as he is. Meaning maybe he’s 6’1 out of bed. I bet they gave him a full inch for shoes and he was somewhere around 6’0 5/8 or 3/4” when he was measured and it was early morning. The “unofficial measurements” from 2019 were done just as anything else sloppily. They knocked an inch off most players rather than measuring them again and some even kept their previous listings. Jordan Nwora measured 6’5.75 and is still

Then whatever that difference (1”) knock it off his listed In shoes and that’s actual barefoot. So my guess is what you mentioned (6’0.25) could be his actual afternoon height (6’0.75 would be his morning). Dame hits 6ft flat, morning height. He has an inch on 5ft 11in players like Kemba Walker and Chris Paul. 6ft 1.25in tops in sneakers etc. Westbrook is 6ft 2in. I've seen 6ft 5in claims online which are crazy! His sneakers/shoes are built up like you wouldn't believe....

He got the same type of deal most players got who were egregiously overlisted like Jimmy Butler. Butler was listed 6’8” so they just dropped him to 6’7” when he’s not even 6’6” barefoot in the afternoon. Lillard was just dropped from 6’3” to 6’2” when he’s clearly not as tall as a 6’2.25 morning measured CJ McCollum. Lillard is not even 6’1” barefoot next to A guy who is listed 6’2.5 like Russell Westbrook or 6’1” Derrick Rose. Rose could be more 6’1.25 in reality. He’s possibly underlisted here

Between Lillard and Rose some comparison can look 1cm because Rose had footwear and some hair advantage and other time more accurately to say they look close to each other or still fraction from Rose edging out Lillard. The most accurate i would have give Damian Lillard is 184.5cm and Westbrook 188.5cm both for the low. 185cm goes to Derrick Rose.

@Rob: Considering an inch can mean lots of money in the NBA in regard to draft slot, player evaluation etc, I will not rule it out, either. Could definitely be pulled off considering they do not make players take socks off. A 6'3" in shoes point guard is plenty big enough to excel and be superstars in the NBA. We see this with Lillard, Curry, Rose, Westbrook, etc. But once you get down to 6'2" in shoes and under, it is very rare to see a superstar in the NBA and thus measuring well could mean millions for a player like Lillard. So while it seems kinda out there, when you factor everything in, it isnt that much of a stretch to imagine a player or his agent deciding to go this route.

@Bryant: Demarcus Cousins (6’9 at a low) is about the same height as Durant? If Durant is taller it’s minimal. If you compare Draymond Green (6’5 by his coach’s admission both Gentry and kerr and Carmelo called him 6’5) that’s around a 4” difference between KD and Dray and Cousins and Dray. Also Dirk nowitzki is 6’10-6’11” ish and taller than KD by at least 1.5”. Rob’s listing is probably high for Durant by this site’s standards afternoon height but he’s likely at minimum a solid 6’9 who doesn’t dip under the mark and likely even a hair above the mark like 6’9.25. But his 6’10.5 is in shoes not barefoot. You are likely assessing him a shoe height since you claimed one yourself here.

In every picture of him with people centers listed near 7'0, he's taller. Even with his horrible posture.

I was at a cookout with him before he was drafted. I'm 6'1 in shoes. I'd never felt so small in my life standing next to him and literally having to look straight up to talk to him.

@Rob and @Canson again: at bottom of thread Rob mentioned lifts under socks could allow one like Lillard to get an absurd measurement. I found some online that go in socks and would easily be hidden and add an inch. Not speaking of lifts or insoles to go in shoes. These are designed to go in the socks. Had no idea. I bet this type thing has been used more than we think with money on the line. Only way to avoid it is to do a pure barefoot measurement with no socks on.

I come out to 193.7-.8cm which is 6’4.25-.3. However, extreme low is 6’4-6’4 1/16 for me. I consider myself 6’4.25 though for this site purposes. As for Irving I agree. Some lose half some 3/8” if the measurement is accurate to begin with. I only estimated 6’1 1/2 if he possibly grew and he can look that tall at times honestly. But if we use the 6’1.75 pre draft he would be 6’1.25 like you said if he didn’t grow

Yep, Dames barely topped me and my manager, height wise. Trailblazers have 3 awesome guards/PGs in Dame, CJ and Curry, but none of them are above 6ft 1in. As an English/Irish guy from across the pond, I don't understand the NBA inflation of heights!? Its like WWE or something...

@Junior Hernandez 1990: I think this was a rare mistake, it happens. Stephen Curry is a strong 6'1, given that the draft class he was in was measured in the morning that would imply that he would go down a little, I'd give him 6'1.5-6'1.75. Most players that are measured in the combine the measurements are genuine, but you have to take into account that it was morning time, probably 30 minutes to an hour after waking. Kevin Durant is a really tall guy an it's obvious to tell, he is 6'9.5, that is why he sizes up with most centers and he is the same height or a little taller. The billing is bs although, some announcers say he is over 7 feet and it is common to hear them say he is a 7 footer, I believe LeBron even said that he was 7 feet tall. I really wanna see Giannis Antetokounmpo on this website, there is a picture of him and Kevin Durant and they look a similar height range.

@Legit 6’2: to answer your question Rob likely lists him 6’1” instead of 6’0” because he doesn’t want to downgrade someone. He generally would only do that if he has proof meaning if he’s met him in person which is understandable. But him downgrading him to 6’1” means he doesn’t believe that he’s 6’1.75 or his combined height. But if we look at the majority of basketball players here, none of them measure these heights at a low I doubt. As far as Lillard, I don’t believe that he’s as low as Monkey Knees said 5’11.5. I put him right at 6’0” like Christian said as well. Maybe he dips to like 5’11 7/8 at a low. Next to Russell Westbrook, he looked about 2-2.5” shorter than him. I don’t challenge Russ’s listing as much suffice to say that his pre draft looked more accurate than his current listing (6’2.25 vs 6’2.5)

But a little nugget of info that may interest you and Christian. Liangelo Ball. He “supposedly” measured 6’4” but is said to only be around 6’2”. After comparing more pics I can firmly say he’s not 6’4 or even close to it. Maybe he’s 6’3 tops but the columnist said that he himself is 6’2” and they were eye to eye. Goes to show pre drafts are not as accurate as they claim

Not to mention combines take place early morning and don’t include 1/8” increments. Very possible that 6’0.75 is even just over 6’0.5 and that he’s just 6’0” at a low. 5’11.5, while possible, looks low with Karlie Kloss. I see an inch to inch and a half prob. Kloss may just be 6’1” flat and he could be 6’0”

Alright, so I want everyone's take on how tall I am and the other guy is here. I went to school with the guy on the left and I know he had to have been at the very least eight inches taller than me. That's assuming his head is 8 inches long because it looks smaller than average, but I don't know. I'm guessing in this picture Damian stands five inches shorter than the guy on the left whether he's wearing lifts or not (I have no idea) but the main point is, I measure 5ft 10 5/8 at the end of the day, and am usually pretty close to 5'11" in the afternoon so that would make the guy on the left at least like 6ft 6 3/4, but that's assuming he's only 8 inches taller than me. I may even come slightly below his chin level which could be closer to nine inches but I'm not sure. I want Rob and you guys to give me your opinion.

Also I'm not trying to boast about my height, or seem taller, I actually just want to know my true height because it's kind of confusing to see people talk about how Damian isn't even 6ft 1 when he could be 3.5-4 inches taller than me. In pictures he doesn't really look 6ft 3 or even 6ft 2 but it's just hard to believe he isn't close when I can see him next to an acquaintance.

It’s not worth inflating players just to make someone else a height you want them to be which is what you are doing. If you see Curry with Russ or with Draymond Green (said by his coaches and other players to be 6’5) Curry is around 3.5-4” shorter

Westbrook measured 6'2.25". He could've measured 6'2 3/8" since he looks a good 189cm, but there's no way he's 6'3". It irks me a bit when I see people inflating measured athletes like that.

@Legit 6’2”: Curry measured that in the 6 o’clock hour of the morning same as Blake Griffin. He’s likely 6’1.5. He’s not as tall as Russell Westbrook is

I'm well aware of that, Christian, but 6'0.5 (or 5'12.5, to quote her) does seem too low, to me. Even when she was listed at that mark on here, before she came out with 6'1.5, I was a bit surprised because she could often look taller than that. 6'1 could be just a round down from her 6'1.5 claim, just like 6'2 is a round up. Either way, 6'1.5 is certainly the most I'd argue, 6'1 probably the lowest.
As for Damian, I can see him being 0.5-1 inch shorter than her, but I'm not sure about more than that. Based only on that, 6'1 is certainly the most I'd argue, although I should see more of him to get a better idea of his height...

@Rob: any listing could be a fib. You’re right. Dwayne wade isn’t 6’3.75 in socks. No chance at that. Melo is 6’6” and you even agree he looks 198-199 range. Lillard next to Westbrook is 6’0”. I’m not sold that Russ is over 6’2.25 when he was next to Mo Cheeks. Cheeks is listed 6’1” but likely not that tall barefoot. It’s rare that an NBA player especially a point guard is as tall as listed. Cheeks looks 6’0.5 tops but 6’0” range

I'm not really seeing camera advantage for Karlie. I do agree with you that the pic is a bit tilted, although it's extremely slightly. Correcting the tilt still wouldn't make them a half inch apart.

@Rob: this article says that they began measuring early morning in 2009 and I can’t see why they would stop if it benefits the players involved. So if they all measured 1/2-3/4” higher (which is evidenced with how early Blake Griffin measured in 2009) and is consistent with Blake’s timing of just waking up out of bed, then Lillard being less than 6’0.5 shouldn’t be a surprise if your theory of him being an inch less (6’0.75) is true. If he really were listed 6’0.75, given the absence of 1/8” increments at the NBA combine, it’s very possible that he could even been between 6’0.5 and 6’0 5/8 very early morning and would dip to around 6’0 or 6’0 1/8”. When you mentioned that, did you mean 6’0.5 is the lowest combine (early morning measurement) you could see?

@Canson: You're probably correct, I didn't see the source that states he is 7'1.75 but I saw one that has him at 7'1.25. However, I think he did grow a bit he is probably around 7'1.5 w/o shoes, because he is a bit shorter than Boban Marjanovic, I saw a game Latvia vs Serbia and KP looked a little shorter than Boban Marjanovic in my opinion. I'm not entirely sure though if he is taller than that now, he looked really tall at the Knicks Media Day.

I still say 6'0.5 would be reasonable for Lillard and a better fit. I also understand the lower guesses based on how he looks with others. This 6'1 listing probably fits in better when comparing with other celebheights basketball players estimates (which are overlisted in my opinion or would I say early in the day measurements).

@Rob, what is the lowest you would estimate Lillard to measure?

Although she might be slightly favored in the picture above, it certainly looks like Karlie is comfortably taller than him (though I doubt it would be much more than an inch). That alone certainly destroys his 6'1.75 measurement, considering that she herself claims to be only 6'1.5 (and I wouldn't be surprised if she was a bit shorter than that).

Damian I am convinced is between 184 and 185 cm. Never looks a flat 6'0, never looks like he's much above 6'1.

He looks 6’2.5-.75 honestly and close to 6’4” in shoes. He is listed 6’4 as opposed to 6’5 which he would’ve been had he genuinely been that height. Lillard looks 6’1 in shoes next to Russ who is 6’3 range in shoes

Russell Westbrook towers over him and if you see Mo Cheeks and Westbrook, or MJ and Russ, I have a hard time even giving Russ the height Rob gave him. 6’2.25 like Drafted and that may be him growing 1/4”. Lillard is overlisted on his pre draft. It wouldn’t surprise me if he had thick socks or if that’s a shoe height for him
