Definitely 6'4'' at least. He does across as arrogant but also can laught at himself. This reminds me a bit of Willian Shatner, arrogant but at the same time likeable.
Danimal said on 13/Oct/06
He's taller than Conan Obrien.
Day Rider said on 13/Oct/06
Viper652 watch and see for yourself if you have access to the old episodes, Maybe the doors are around 6'6 I won't bother commenting again with the replies you get on here.

Glenn did Hoff ask you to jump into his car?
Viper652 said on 12/Oct/06
If hes only an inch shorter than the top of a door in flip flops, then he is closer to 6-8, lol.
Day Rider said on 11/Oct/06
The Hoff is 6'4 minimum look at him on old episodes of Baywatch on UK Gold. His head is an inch at most off the top of the doors in Baywatch Headquarters and he is wearing flip flops. That is overwhelming proof he is 6'4 or more surely.
Robert said on 10/Oct/06
6'0-6-1 at best is ridiculous for that guy,Rutabert.
he looks 6-4 to me, but in case he is shorter, then he is no way shorter than 6-3.he really looks huge
Viper652 said on 5/Oct/06
I doubt you saw the real David Hasselhoff Rutabert.
Rutabert said on 4/Oct/06
There is no way on earth he is that tall! I would guess 6`0-6`1 at best. I once met him on the street. Now i am 6`4, and he was significantly shorter than me.
Glenn said on 4/Oct/06
Always nice to me and even talked to him on the phone a few times.
Viper652 said on 4/Oct/06
Crazy, I remember getting a knight rider toy car at Toys R' Us.
Danimal said on 4/Oct/06
Met the guy when I was a kid at Toys R Us. He was shaking everyone's hand and my 2 sisters went crazy over him. This was during his knight rider days.
Viper652 said on 2/Oct/06
Yes George, the guy looked 6-5-6-6 at times on Knight Rider.
George H said on 2/Oct/06
He comes across as one of the most ego inflated people in showbiz, but in his Knightrider days especially he looked every inch of 6'4". Maybe because he was quite scrawny then and didn't have to suck in his stomach yet to look fit, rofl.
But I do remember he wore sort of cowboy boots in that series, didn't he?
Viper652 said on 2/Oct/06
Interesting. Never met the man but he has always looked 6-4 minimum to me.
Andrew said on 30/Sep/06
I am not to sure that he is 6`4. I once got the honor of meeting him on the street and asked for his autograph. I was walking with my 6`4 dad, and he did not look like he was quite at my dad's height. I would say that he is closer to 6,2-6,3.
Gonzalo said on 22/Sep/06
I always thought he was at least 6`4 and maybe a little bit over.
miyuki said on 13/Sep/06

Danimal said on 6/Sep/06
Met the man when he was giving a signing a few years back. He's at least 6'4".
Viper652 said on 6/Sep/06
I admit, he could look taller than 6-4 sometimes on Knight Rider. But in most pictures and events he looks 6-4.
Robert said on 5/Sep/06
he really looks like 6 ft 4, because he towered over everyone on Knight Rider.
Viper652 said on 17/May/06
How tall is Styles then, 6-7-6-7.5??
JT said on 15/May/06
Hasselhoff is wearing a good size heel in that clip cantstop25 posted, and he still looks 3 inches shorter than Styles.
D.J. said on 14/May/06
Dave is leaning a bit to his left if you notice. He's definitely no less than 6'4".
beaner said on 11/May/06
IMO, Hasselhoff floatationed between 6'3.5" and 6'4" when hurdled up next to Styles, even though they were crouching slightly.
cantstop25 said on 6/May/06
here he is in this clip with "6'6" ryan stiles"
Click Herethough I think stiles is taller then 6'6"
Frank2 said on 5/May/06
David's basically a nice guy. I knew him going back to when he tested for the role of Michael Knight in Knight Rider. I worked on the early presentation that was used to pre-sell that series. Then the pilot was shot. This is very unusual method to say the least. The network was hot for the idea so it was pre-sold. Hasselhoff was nice to everyone he worked with. I can't relate on how he treats the public or his fans. I know he's big in Europe, especially in Germany as a singing star.
mcfan said on 5/May/06
He only looks 6'4. How tall is Glenn...5'7.5?
Viper652 said on 4/May/06
6-2 for Hasselhoff is the craziest thing I have ever heard. The guy can look taller then 6-4 half the time. And Frank, you worked on knight rider?? Thats pretty cool. What did you do on the show??
Bleemo said on 4/May/06
What where your impressions of him Frank/Glenn? I heard he had a bad rep in general.
Glenn said on 4/May/06
He is possibly 6-4.5.
J-Dog said on 4/May/06
Hasselhoff is most likely 6'4.5" he has never looked below 6'4" ever, I think people need to refrain from their instincts to downgrade everyone based on absolutely nothing but sheer wishful thinking.
Frank2 said on 4/May/06
This IS giving me a headache! I worked on Knight Rider. Hasselhoff is a solid 6'4".
leonari said on 4/May/06
Sam please: Hasselhoff at 6'2".Come on the guy looks huge everywhere!!! 6'4" minimum!!!!
sam said on 3/May/06
Look at his ex Cathrine Hickland at 5'5". He is maybe 8-9 inches taller. He is 6'2".
Anonymous said on 9/Apr/06
correct me if im wrong however isnt it 5 inches from the eye to the top of the head. Which would make david 6'3" (add an inch for slouching)
cant see him being anything above this
András said on 6/Mar/06
Hy I have seen him in a shopping ceter and he was just a few inch shorter than me.(I'm 6'7)
Jake said on 5/Mar/06
David is an honest 6'4".
Rut said on 5/Mar/06
Hasselhoff was tall alright and is still tall, but never 1.95m
I think his claimed 1.93m is enough..
Richard said on 22/Feb/06
I don't think he had 3 inches on Bud Spencer. Bud is bending his head a lot and even though he's been billed as 6'4.5 I've always thought Bud looked more like 6'3. Maybe he's 6'2 in that pic with Hasselhoff due to having shrunk with age. He's born 1929 and still looks like a big guy.
phil said on 21/Feb/06
I met Hasselhoff in 1987 at the opening of a Toys "R" Us store. I was working as a manager at the time. My best friend of the past 25 years is exactly 6'4" tall. Hasselhoff was wearing cowboy boots that day and he was at least 6'4", maybe 6'5" tall in 1987.

Hey Rob this is a photo from 1989 italian tv show "I Telegatti" where every year italian artists and actors receive a prize from foreign actors. In this photo there are Bud Spencer and David Hasselhoff:
http://www.telegatto.com/Img/premiazioni/1989zoom/big_man.jpg
Bud Spencer alias Carlo Pedersoli is an italian swimmer turned actor in 1967 and his height was said to be 194 cm(6'4 1/2") but probably with the age he shrunk a bit.Anyway in 1989 Bud was 60 and Hoff was 37 and at least 3" taller than Bud.I don't know the exact height of Bud Spencer but I'm sure that David was at least 6'4" in 1989 maybe a tad under nowadays.

I saw David last year at a concert in Hollywood, and he is still 6-4. He may have been a little taller when he did the soap opera, as he towered over everybody.
Viper652 said on 22/Nov/05
Ok, Ive been noticing David's eight in old knight rider movies and even today looking at pics of him in the past couple of years and on talk show clips. I would still bet he is in the 6-4 range, but it wouldnt surprise me at all If he is really 6-5 to 6-6 even. He can look extremely tall at times.
kenneth patrickson said on 18/Nov/05
he has beem shrunk by 1 or 2cm for what i know his no longer 6"4.8(1.94)tall.. trust me..
Viper652 said on 10/Nov/05
I think David is just 6-4. No downplaying
rr said on 10/Nov/05
Normally, make actors wont downplay their heights, but if they are over 6'4", they can afford to do so!

Mr hasselhoff was just in sydney for the Arias, I happened to drop my uncle at the airport today , and the Hoff checked in right next to me, I chose to say nothing till my little cousin went running up to him, and I had the opportunity of meeting him. I am 185cm tall and I would say he was about 10cm taller , he seemed abit shorter then a friend of mine who is 199-200cm, as I am below his eyeline just, while hasselhoffs I was above . So I reckon he is about 194-195 odd cm, its hard to tell as I never really looked at his shoes. But he really could be bordering on 6'5", I have no doubt, and I would except claims of more depending on his footwear.
Christoffer Slotte said on 22/Aug/05
I worked at a children's hospital in 1987 that Hasselhoff was visiting. I was very close to him once and he was taller than me (I am 6'1). I would say 6'4 is correct. He didn't seem to be as tall as 6'6.
Mr. R said on 11/Jul/05
When he was on The Young and the Restless in the 70's, he was head and shoulders above everyone, and may have been closer to 6-5. I saw him at a concert last year, and I walked behind him a few times, and he was definitely closer to 6-4.
Anshelm said on 10/Jul/05
Interestingly, Finnish 197 cm (6'5½") tall actor and director Timo Koivusalo claimed to be "exactly as tall as the Knight Rider". He could have been misinformed, of course; but what if they've met? At least Koivusalo's height looks right compared to former Prime Minister Paavo Lipponen (194 cm). Also, I remember that Hasselhoff looked clearly taller than Conan O'Brien, when he was a guest on his show. This was a while ago, so I'm not going to say by how much. But anyway, this could be a rare case of an actor actually rounding down his height!
Mr. R said on 19/Mar/05
I saw him at a concert and he is still standing tall. He is still really close to 6'4".
mask said on 19/Mar/05
I think mr Hasselhoff is about 6'3''now,maybe he was 6'4'' in his heydays
sean t said on 16/Mar/05
Pete I think that is cos Will Smith is closer to 6'1".. Hasselhoff has big hair which makes him appear taller
pete said on 5/Mar/05
He's more like 6ft 6, he was at a premiere, I work at the cinema and he was 4 inches taller than will Smith who is 6'2, and this guy is supposed to have shrunk with age, this is a definite case of rounding down.
