How tall is Ernest Tubb

Next to Hank Sr. (6'1"), he was about 2 inches shorter, and next to Johnny Cash, who was a solid 6'2", he was a good 3 inches shorter. I'd put him at 5'11".

Ernest tubb was a very slender man, which made him appear taller than he actually was. I saw a picture of him next to 5'7" George Jones and he looked maybe 4 inches taller. I'll give him 5'11". He was my favorite musician. Walkin' the floor over you!

Tubb always looked 6'0" to me. Actually he looked taller because he was so slender. Looking at pictures of him with his contemporaries he was usually one of the taller ones.

This isn't the best picture but it certainly lends credence to his being a six footer in his younger days.

Granted by his later years he could have shrunk a bit especially with his hard lifestyle.
