How tall is Gillian Wright

A red-haired Gillian stars in an episode of Heartbeat, called 'Scent of a Kill'. (Series 13, Episode 14).

Gillian, as Barbara Simner, goes to her lady doctor to get a repeat prescription for anti-depressant medication, adding that she fears her husband is trying to kill her.

As she clearly suffers from depression, like her EastEnders character, Jean, will the doctor take her seriously or will she think it's in her patient's mind? I don't know how the medical profession regarded mental illness back in the 60s, but I do know it's come a long way since those dark days.

Gillian looks much the same height as she does in EastEnders, though if anything, she'll be a touch shorter now. This episode hails from 2004, when Gillian will have been 42/43.

We saw a feisty side to Gillian's EastEnders character Jean when she saw Ade Edmondson 'return from the dead', as it were! She belted him slap bang in the chops! Far out Jean!

Oh, bless you Rob! Gillian has been in 'EastEnders' for ages now, and her character, Jean Slater, has brought to the public's attention what it's like to suffer from bipolar disorder.

I must say that I did think she was considerably smaller, but I can't think of any occasion which shows her in high heels. She can still wear mini skirts, which she does more out of innocence than to get the guys going, so our attention is drawn to her slim pins, Some slim women can come over as shorter, and Jean is one of them. I didn't think she was much over 5ft.

I have decided to go for 5ft2.75.
