Robert James Marella was an American wrestler and commentator.
In 1977 he said "I'm not the monster you might picture. I'm just 6-6, 400 pounds. But I'm big enough to deal with heavier boys like Andre the Giant and Haystack Calhoon. Haystack weighs 600 pounds."

Has anyone got an estimate for Bobby Heenan?
Plassey said on 23/Aug/20
He was no more then 6’4’’
RP said on 21/Aug/20
Peak barefoot 6’4.75” and 6’6” in shoes, IMO.

To his credit 6’6 400 would be an underweight child next to 7’0 520 Andre

Rob, is 6ft5½ possible?
Editor Rob
I wouldn't go that high for him.

For what it’s worth, Gorilla Monsoon had a 6’5” listing as a wrestler in college
Click Here He never looked that tall as a pro wrestler – maybe 6’4” early on and down to 6’3” by the 1980s and 1990s. He looked several inches shorter than 6’6” John Studd in 1983 (age 46)
Click Here and in 1986 about the same height as 6’3” King Kong Bundy and shorter than Dave Winfield (listed as 6’6” but baseball almost always over-lists)
Monsoon looked pretty short with some wrestlers in the backstage interview from the 1980s but they may have been standing on a small platform. Monsoon was only around 4 inches taller than 5’11” Bobby Heenan by this time

@ Rampage Clover - Yes, it does sound a bit far-fetched, doesn't it? 😮

He was noticeably shorter than 6ft 5 Chuck Wepner when Wepner fought Andre So 6ft 5 or 6ft 4.5 is out of the Question

Gorilla Monsoon is the most badass name ever

Could’ve been naturally a bit more but shrunk from weight

Rob just to let you know Haystacks Calhoun and Giant Haystacks were two different people. The height you've given sound reasonable though.
Ethan99 said on 19/Aug/20
peak height no less than 6'4.5

What a lovely name: Gorilla Monsoon! 🦍
Shame he's no longer with us. Someone's voted him as 6ft7, so to avoid raining too much on his parade, I'll give Gorilla 🦍 6ft5.5. 😃👌
⭐ My late boyfriend called me a Baby Gorilla, which became, simply, 'Grill'!
RIP Gorilla Monsoon 🕯️ XX

400 lbs peak weight is believable during hey days but before his death in 98-99" i believe he fall under 250.

@Editor Rob
Great addition. Yes he was 6’5 peak.
Editor Rob
I doubt in his wrestling days (early) he was under 6ft 5
