Editor Rob 5ft 6 is a likely range, there was quite a big difference at that moment.

I'd definitely argue a bit over this mark. He was maybe 1in taller than Brosnan in Goldeneye but then easily 4in or more on Sean Bean. He was a large-framed guy and had great posture which might have added to the illusion of more height. He looked towering in that prison scene. I'm sure his stature was one of the reasons they cast him as General Orumov. His overall demeanour just screamed villainy...terrific actor.

i believe gottfried john is still a solid 6ft 2in no shorter. he is tall and has good posture for a guy in his 60's

Watching GoldenEye on TV right now... yeah, has about three inches on Famke Janssen; I'd say a strong 188 cm rather than weak. Maybe taller in youth? He's 64 now. Good posture.
