No less than this and 6ft3 exact is possible if Cleese was a little over 6ft5....

bang on 190 cm. 6´2 3/4

Usually around 2in below Cleese. Full 6ft3 is possible of course but a strong one?

Not sure I buy that...but then John could have been 6ft5 and change

Yes, Graham was very tall, and deserves 6ft3 even….. 😜

What a laugh he was!

Looks closer to 6ft2 in this photo

Like Cleese I think he may have also downplayed his height
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 22/Apr/19
About 5-6cm shorter than Cleese and 5-6cm taller than Idle

Nice upgrade. Clearly edged out both Peter Cook and Peter Boyle in Yellowbeard. Either this or 6'3" seems spot on for him.

He looked as tall or taller than Cleese at times at sometimes 1 to 2 inches shorter than him. They were both about the same height give or take a inch . Graham was 6ft four standing straight up and Cleese was 6 ft 5 not much noticeable difference. Graham slouched a lot.

6'2.75" works better. 6'2" flat is silly. At times, he can only look 1 inch shorter than John Cleese. a 6'2 flat could never look that tall with someone who could be over 6'5.

In John Cleese's page, A user had met John Cleese and confirmed Cleese could measure over 6'5. According to the user, his dad is 6'4.5," and John Cleese was roughly 1 inch taller than his dad. The user eventually grew to 6'8.5."

Not sure about 6ft4 though. That really makes Cleese 6ft6
Editor Rob
6ft 2.75 is probably fair enough for him.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 7/May/18
Rob, maybe tweak this to 190cm?

I think generally he looked around 2in shorter than Cleese who I think most will agree was 6ft5

@Rob

It wouldn't really surprise me if he was a flat 190.5 cm--6'3 flat in this case.

The 6'2 on google is way too low because a flat 6'2 guy could never look very close with 6'5-6'5.25 John Cleese.

I might get a lot of hate for this, but I think this guy would be taller than Brandon Routh and more closer to 6'3 like Gustaf Skarsgard.
Editor Rob
It is the figure he was listed at during his career.
Paleman said on 24/Mar/17
Taller than Peter Boyle. I'm pretty convinced Chapman was 6'3". Probably not taller, but more like solid 190cm.
Paleman said on 26/Sep/16
This guy's height is tough to pin down, but I wouldn't rule out 6'3". The current listing is the lowest possible I can buy for him.

Graham is a tuff one. He can look anything between 6'2 to 6'4. Here he looks a strong 6'4 with Eric Idle (6'1)

For a second I thought that was Cleese...
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 2/Sep/16
Rob, how likely was 6ft3?
Editor Rob
I wouldn't rule it out
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 22/Feb/16
Actually he could look less than 2in shorter than Cleese, sometimes just 1in
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 17/Oct/15
Could look 6ft3 if Cleese was 6ft5

Watching "Meaning of Life" and "Holy Grail" on Netflix, he really did look 6'3".
Arch Stanton said on 19/Apr/14
He could look 190 but yeah, never looked over 6'3" next to Cleese. Spot on I think.

I doubt 6'3" or over for Chapman, the difference looks 2.5 between Cleese and Chapman IMO and close to 3 in at time.
MrTBlack said on 31/Mar/14
Cleese is 6'5" and did not tower over him! Id say full 6'3".
Mr.V said on 29/Mar/14
Thanx for the upgrade, Rob, definitely over 6'2".

Here's an extract of Douglas Adams' biography where Chapman is mentioned at standing 6'3":

His obituary says 6'4":

The fruit defense sketch is pretty good, because they're both barefoot and Graham is obviously more than just one inch taller than Eric.

Eric looks short sandwiched btw Graham and John.

I doubt Chapman was anything under 6'3".

During a stage performance I saw, Cleese that Chapman was 6'4" and indicated Graham's height by putting his hand at his eye level, implying that he was a little taller than that himself. Chapman's driving license also said 6'4". That may be too much, but I think 6'3" is likelier than 6'2". If you compare him to 6'2" Actors such as Peter Boyle and Peter Cook in "Yellowbeard", he was definitely taller.

Here's a couple photos:

One thing for sure, Chapman always had Idle by more than one inch in every Python sketch. Cleese may have been closer to 6'6" at peak.
Editor Rob
maybe 6ft 2 could be a bit low

Good addition, now if you'd add 5'9"ish Terry Gilliam, you'd have all the members of Monty Python. I'm surprised there's no photo with Graham's profile...I'm sure you could find a pretty amusing one.
Editor Rob
unfortunately I can't just put up any photo...if there was one available under creative commons I'd have used that..
