I agree that Iain Cuthbertson wasn't in 'Fawlty Towers'. He starred in loads of productions though, both TV and film work. Iain appeared in the 1989 movie 'Scandal', about the Profumo affair, 'Tom Brown's Schooldays' from 1971 and he starred with John Thaw and Ian McDiarmid in the 'Inspector Morse' episode 'Masonic Mysteries', wherein he played Desmond McNutt.

The late Iain gets 6ft4. 🕯️

He towers over Gareth Thomas in Children Of The Stones. He is four to five inches taller.

Robin I think you are getting your Cuthbertson's mixed up. The Cuthbertson from Fawlty Towers was the Australian actor Allan Cuthbertson (1920-88)who appeared in the Gourmet Nights episode. Scottish actor Iain Cuthbertson never appeared in the series.

Incidently I think you are spot on height wise. Allan Cuthbertson always looked around 6'2" around two inches shorter than John Cleese.

I don't think Iain Cuthbertson was 6ft4, he was in one of the Fawlty Towers episodes and John Cleese was at least 2ins taller, so 6ft2-3 in more likely
