If Ian McKellen says Ian Richardson wore lifts, then I believe him! I can't see any bitchy huffy-puffiness involved in anything Mr McKellen comes out with, as he's a true gent!

In the House of Cards series he looked about 5'10" or maybe even 5'11". He was about the same height as Diane Fletcher (who played his wife) and she looks like a tall woman, but was a lot shorter than Nick Brimble (easily 6'4") who played the head bodyguard
