In one of the videos where he wrestles a professional wrestler, he claimed 6'0 which is slightly less inflammatory than 6'1 or 6'2 -- it must be said that when he did attempt to claim 6'2, his friends mocked it. Listing seems realistic. The majority of men his height will claim 6'+ and won't think twice. My guess is that his sensitive ego doesn't fit too well with anything under 6'.

In one of his vlogs he goes to Post Malone's house. Post is listed 6ft 0.5in. Post was barefoot and Jake if I'm not mistaken he had Yeezys. They stood the same.

See, this is why 5'10" is not the average height. Most people that are really just 5'10" would claim to be 6'0" or even 6'2"! Then on the other hand 5'7"ers would claim that they are 5'10". This form of lying in height debunks the 5'10" average. 5'7"-5'9" would be the true average.

If he really is 5'10½", it's hard to believe claiming 6'1" is an honest mistake. He must suffer from a combination of egocentricity and insecurity. Having a brother that much taller must be annoying to him.

This kid also does a bunch of crazy things as you can see on his youtube channel and it seems like in his vlogs he wakes up early to annoy his friends in his vlogs. So gravity effect + little sleep probably is about inch range of decreasing height and his routine seems consistent but at the same time he is 20. I feel like if he maintained a healthier lifestyle earlier he could be at real 6ft range, because he is so young it is hard to determine his height at normal sleep hours with less gravity effect.
