Jane has always seemed taller than 5ft2.5 to me, but then in a recent episode, I compared her to Vicky Entwistle, and reckoned on around 5ft3.

I’ll settle for 5ft3.25.

So little Sam is now motherless, but if I were you, I'd jump at the chance of adopting him. He's one in a million, and watching him cope with the loss of his Mum has been heart-rendering. 😢

They say that the highly intelligent are less likely to connect with God, or any form of faith, because they need proof, but I hope this diamond of a 10-year-old finds comfort from somewhere. You, his Dad/your husband, and your sister will all help if you put your hearts into the very rewarding task. 💖

In yesterday's Classic Coronation Street, Leanne was sitting with a pregnancy test with her husband, Nick. Nick asked her, "What do we do now?"

Leanne replied, "It's too late. We've already done it," sobbing her little heart out!

What on Earth has Leanne got herself into? That cheeky, mouthy, callous drug dealer poses with her on the cover of my TV magazine as if butter wouldn't melt!

I think if I was in Leanne's position and I found a solitary white feather after losing an innocent three-year-old, I think I might take it as a sign as well.

I mean, who has pillows and eiderdowns with feathers anymore? She should take comfort in the feather, but I've heard that she's going to look for more evidence. As long as the money grabbers don't exploit her grief and she gets hold of some decent spiritualists, and doesn't become obsessed, things should go fine for her, but this is a Soap, after all...

Oh dear! That poor stepson of hers, tiny teenager Alex Bain, who is written up as 5ft4.5, but looks a bit less to me, has been coerced into taking up drug runs, to help out with the financial side for his family, I believe, and to feel helpful. 😿

Firstly, his Mum, Leanne, loses her three-year-old son, often making Alex's Simon feel second best, and now his Dad is proving stubborn with the giving up of alcohol. This youngster is so troubled. If I was part of the care system, be it in the Police or as a social worker, I'd be clamping down hard on the thoughtless boy who has put him up to this when he's at his most vulnerable.

Jane, who can look Alex straight in the face, though there is a definite difference, gets 5ft3. 😁👌😄

Jane's 'Coronation Street' father was played by 'The Full Monty' actor, Bruce Jones, who has just started his run in the soap opera. He's being questioned by the police and he's called them plonkers - TWICE! 😂😂

Bruce turned 68 yesterday and I found 182cm for his height. He's not too tall to have a 5ft2.5/3 daughter in Leanne, so fair play to those responsible for the hiring and firing of actors in Corrie, but Leanne's eyes are brown, and Bruce's and her biological mother in the programme, played by Michelle Collins, both have pale eyes, so in the normal run of things, they wouldn't be able to have a brown-eyed kid!

Could Bruce, perhaps, have a page please, Rob?

Jane gets 5ft3, eyes, nose and a mouth, like so....

Terrible as the Oliver storyline has been, Jane Damson WILL win an award for her heart-wrenching performance.

I think Nick's estranged son could be a great comfort to Leanne at this tragic time for her, with her own son so ill, if she just sees the little fellow as something positive instead of letting her jealousy ruin what could have a beautiful outcome and give her a reason to go on. 🧒

It's not as if Nick's been unfaithful to her....

I'm not surprised as to the average vote. It's nearly 5ft3.5! Jane does have an excellent figure and this is going to help her look taller.

What a terrible scenario the Coronation Street writers are dealing with right now. How can a little boy who hasn't even reached double figures be suffering from an illness so severe that all his organs will shut down if he continues to be kept alive on life support?

I think any parent would explore each and every avenue, however expensive, so long as there's a glimmer of hope at the end, just as Jane Danson's Leanne is doing. 😢

This is tragic.

@ Sandy Cowell - I agree, it's incredible that she claimed to be 5'2" then! The voters believe she is a strong 5'3" too and she does give me the impression that she could be over 5'2.5"!

As with Jennie McAlpine, Jane Danson is another Coronation Street actress who I used to think was taller than she is, though not to the tune of the big difference that I imagined Jennie was.

I believe her to be 5ft3, and that's about three quarters of an inch shorter than the statistic I formerly imagined, and one and a quarter inches over the 5ft2.5 she's chalked up to be. Perhaps it's because most Soap actresses are rather on the small side, it could be why, in Soapland, a true 5ft4 girl can look quite tall, an example of whom is
the supersleek Kym Marsh. No, we won't be seeing actresses like Nicole Kidman or Uma Thurman pacing the cobbles!

Today, Jane can have 5ft3.5. 😁🥀
