🖤 I might add that Joan didn't look below 5ft4 seven years ago, when she starred alongside Maria Bello in Stephen King's thoroughly disturbing 'Big Driver', coming to this conclusion the SECOND time I watched the movie, though not the first.

Joan cuts a slight and very lean figure, which seems somehow mismatched with her voice!

my guess is that she was more 5'4 peak. maybe 5'5.5 in the morning peak with shoes on. no way she lost 2 inches at 62.

At only 62 years old and 1.5 inches shorter than the peak height for this listing, this makes it a possibility that my parents who are both in their mid-50s to both be half an inch shorter than their peak heights (5ft 6 peak for my mom and 5ft 7.5 peak for my dad) as of today.

How fantastic to see Joan with a page, Rob!

She started her career in 'The Runaways', thereafter forming the band 'Joan Jett and The Blackhearts'. I remember, and was very fond of her song, 'I Love Rock 'n' Roll'. Well, so do I, and I'll be playing it after I've written this!

The only film of hers I've seen is Stephen King's 'Big Driver', about a woman, played by the 165cm Maria Bello, who is left for dead by her evil and abusive husband. On her road to recovery, which is a long one, she meets Joan Jett's Betsy, herself a victim of domestic violence, who has the scars to prove it.

Until I saw this movie, I had no idea that Joan had taken to acting. Because of her big voice, I had naturally assumed that Joan was fairly tall. How wrong I was! Her height was one of the first things I noticed about her.

The movie was made in 2014, and Joan looked around 5ft3.5 and of delicate build, not the sort of appearance you associate with a ballsy rock star!

I'm agreeing with 5ft5 for Joan's peak and 5ft3.5 for these days. She's just turned 62.
