During the 2000 NBA all star game party in San Francisco @ NikeTown, my brother and his friend met Larenz Tate. To their astonishment he was one of the smallest guys in the room!!! My brother is about 5'8" and couldn't believe how short Larenz Tate was. He says he is NO taller than 5'4", and even that would be stretching it. To this day, I still can't believe him, but why would he lie. He's a good actor tho, so who cares, but since you guys got this site, that's what I heard !!!

This guy is flat out 5'6 ! thats what he looks with Glennjamin , and thats what he looks with Ludacris ! I think Ludacris only claims 5'8 ? ... this guy is 5'6ish ... also he was eye to eye with Alfonso on Fresh Prince !

i just got the third season of freash prince a few days ago ! guess what .... larenz tate and alfonso ribeiro both looked the same exact height !!! both in normal standerd dress shoes ! just watch epiosed 3.3 ... face to face , eye to eye , nose to nose ! they are the SAME EXACT HEIGHT ( larenz a hair shorter if anything ! )

Im in unsure...Vivica a fox by her own admission says shes 5'7...At the NBA weekend..She and luda stood right beside each..both waring the same footwear...now that aswell would make luda 5'7..And in Crash..Luda was atleast 2 inchs taller then larenze tate..I love tis guy as an actor..But im sorry,Hes not 5'7..more so 5'5-5'6

In the movie Crash that is CLEARLY evident.

You folks may be right on Larenz Tate. Did anybody see the best movie of the year, Crash? There is a reason that Larenz and Ludacris were chosen to play together. Larenz makes Luda look tall! I would say Larenz is between 5-5 and 5-6, and Luda is between 5-6 and 5-7!

I was watching Menace II Society this weekend and I realized that I was being
generous to this guy. He's 5'5" max. I'll tell you why: if you compare him in a eye to eye scene with the admittedly 4'11" Jada Pinkett, he's exactly 5-6 inches taller. No more. And I do mean 'exactly'. (I passed the DVD and checked it out for myself). Also compare him to 5'1"- 5'2" Nia Long in Love Jones in their barefoot, face to face scenes and again, he's barely 5 inches taller, if that. Also, my friend who had that party I mentioned in a much earlier post also pegs him as 5'5" as he is friends with Larenz and his brothers and sees them semi-regulary. So, that's good enough evidence, I think.

Was Just on TRL May 10th. He is shorter than DJ Clue. Also at least an inch or two shorter than Ludacris judging from a few clips in the movie "Crash" - 5'6.5"

I have stood beside LT on two separate occassions. I am exactly 5'7 1/2 and we saw eye to eye, so in my personal opinion he is 5'7-5'8

He's up there with Hill Harper as a talented-yet-pint-sized young actor whose height gets manipulated quite well onscreen. I met Larenz and his brother Larron back at my friend's birthday party in 1996. I recall being shocked by Larenz's lack of height and his brother is even shorter. To be honest with you, I think that Larenz scraps 5'7" barefoot and I can confirm that Larron is around 5'4" at best. They're pretty small people.(Also note that Tate has been casted as two pint sized music legends in the movies: Quincy Jones; Frankie Lymon).
