Dude just because he look tall in a photo doesn't mean he should be much taller than imagined. I'm 5'5 and I tower over my 4'11 mom so does that make me 6 foot?

Editor RobI don't know how short she is, but if she's several inches shy of 5ft, then Gandhi in comparison would look tall. In crowd scenes though, he doesn't look it.

Glad the little great man finally got a page (balancing out Hitler!), although I'd expect he wouldn't be far off the average for an Indian man of his generation.
Don't call him a little man....he was short in height but he did a lot for India to gain freedom...In his achievements he was a giant....

5'4" seems his accurate height than 5'5" that I read across an article about Gandhi. But his current listing of 5'4.5"(164) in google is questionable for his height in his youth.
