This guy is an awesome actor ... the Oscars are about your actor friends voting for you ... Btw , Legend , I don't understand ... your height is a perfect height .
Ancient Greek perfect proportioned statue was based on a 5'10 man. I've already said my opinion about the perfect height being 5'10(but only if your proportions are flawless). 5'11 and 6' is also excellent but 5'10 is the best. More than 6' is unnecessary, cause 5'10 is already tall enough. 5'9 is good, but only good and 5'8 is not bad, but only not bad, nothing more than that. it's funny when 6'.5'' guy claims 6'2 just cause he's clearly taller than 5'8-5'10 bunch around him and thinks everyone's blind.
@Legend
if you're well proportioned, your height is best from an aesthetic point of view. self confidence that more often comes with a tall height than an average one is an other subject. if we're talking Greeks, Leonardo da Vinci, etc. ~5'10 rules any height.
TruebloodFan said on 25/Oct/11
Biehn really looked legit 6ft or even more in all his movies. I'm kinda surprised with under 6' listing, but next to Rob, he does give a 5ft11.5-.75 impression. must be his age.

Beihn was a tremendous actor who probably should have won the Best Supporting Oscar for The Abyss. He had a studio campaign behind him but didn't get it. In The Terminator he was better looking and a better actor than Schwarzenegger and probably in better shape considering Arnold's heart. I figured he was fated to be the next governor of California.
What's the difference between 6'0" and 5'11.75" ? I vary more than that in a day.

It does appear on here most guys will say the perfect height is 6'1-6'1 1/2 range. In shoes I am in that range so I got a feeling of how it would be that tall but just not barefoot
Maximus said on 21/Oct/11
6' is fair. Definetly one actor who doesnt need elevator shoes. Sometimes you get taller than average guys wearing shoes with big heels but the truth is they dont really need it.....its actors like pacino, hoffman, cruise etc that need the lifts...not michael bien, arnold, vin, the rock, etc....these guys are 5'10" and above which puts even the 5'10" guy with regular shoes at 5'11" to almost 6'
Josh B said on 21/Oct/11
Rob, at what age would you consider adding peak and current height for a celebrity? Around the 55/60 mark i would assume but is it based on the individual or just in general? Beihn at 54 is not far off 57 Malkovich who does have peak and current height.
Editor Rob
once you get into 60's the chances of half inch loss are more than 50-55 range...I think half inch losses are better to list than little 1/4 inches
jake, 1.82 m said on 21/Oct/11
I'm 5"11.75 and ideally, I'd like to be 2 inches taller. I'm content with my height but I really don't see what's so ridiculous about wanting to be a bit taller.
the shredder said on 21/Oct/11
Rob ... Do you think women now days would still love Dean and Brando at there height ?
Editor Rob
yeah I'm sure many would
mofo said on 21/Oct/11
Yes Robby Rob finally I have waited a long time for this, as I stated before a long time ago...
Now let's see looks a solid 5ft11.75 based on footwear and height calculations so yeah, perhaps Rob you should put peak height at 6ft?
Editor Rob
I've assumed he has 1 inch shoes like me, but if he has more than that then the guy might be 5ft 11.25-5 range to me.
I don't know at 54 whether he lost height though
Reality said on 20/Oct/11
Practically 6ft next to Mamun and over 5'11 next to Rob.I think 5'11.75 is fair.

Legend said on 20/Oct/11
6'1 is ok Alex, but I just mean there is no reason to be truly depressed about your height if you are over 5'11 or 6 ft already. I wish I was just one inch taller at 5'11. How perfect would that be...
the shredder said on 20/Oct/11
Alex ... folks are ignorant with heights now days ... like they want this image of 6'2 and think that 5'9 is short ... Heights that Brando and James Dean were under .
Alex said on 19/Oct/11
Legend, I am 6'0 or a hair over and I am very content with my height but it does appear 6'1 is the ideal height for a lot of guys

I don't know the make of the boots, he had the same ones
the day I saw him and I had exact 1-inch heel myself, so if they were anywhere near 1.5 you could say 'near 1 inch more than mamun, 0.5 inch more than me'
arbiem said on 17/Oct/11

Mathew said on 17/Oct/11
Could be 6' next to Mamun, depending on exactly how much his boots give him.
TNTinCA said on 17/Oct/11
He looks like he has pretty good sized footwear in these pics. But I would still agree that he was probably close to 6 foot in his prime.
He looked about the same height as Sigourney in Aliens.

I was thought he was in the 5ft11-6ft range. Looking @ the comparison pics, 182cm is right.

This shows how tall a 5'11 guy can look. And yet we have people on this site who are 6ft or taller that want to be even taller than they are. Ridiculous.

His shoes looks like Skechers afterburn shoes which i've seen in store. They give you good 1.6-1.75 inches.

This guy looks 1.82-1.83m, not under 1.81m.

I was on set for a movie called Sushi Girl a couple months back and met Biehn and I was shocked at how tall he was. I'm 5'10" and my guess was that he was closer to 6'1" (though he did have some big shoes on). He was also at least an inch taller than Jeff Fahey when we were all talking together, who is listed as 6' on here.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 6/Jun/11

Michael was the main draw in Magnificent Seven and still the only reason I bought those DVDs. He plays opposite Ron Perlman who is also good in everything he does and Ron is listed here as 6'1" which would put Michael at 6' since he looks about an inch shorter than Ron in the show. Sometimes they look almost the same height though because Ron is much more bulky making him look shorter and Michael is more sleek making him look taller. He's really such a gorgeous guy and more shy in person than you would think.

I couldn't tell you exactly how tall he is, but I went to high school with him years ago, and when I first saw the reference to his height, I figured he was between 5'10" and 6'0". I certainly don't remember him being a reall tall guy, but he wasn't short either.

7-8 of marsh he visited the Sci-Fi mass in Gothenburg, Sweden. Pretty much the only attraction interesting enough for me there was to see Michael in real life. A once in a lifetime opportunity that im greatful for having experienced. I couldnt resist taking a foto with him aswell as getting a signed one, it is my only autograph, and the only one so far i ever found interesting to obtain at all. A giant, this actor, certanly lifts the films with his acting a few steps higher in its quality, heroic in his charisma and very inspiering to me, and certanly in real life aswell. Even admirable in a badguy-roll. For answering your heightquestions here, he is tall as you mention, least 6 ft or bit taller as i felt being the same height. He certanly age with discipline and makes an incredible impression, and part from some charming wrinkles he still looks as you remember him from films.
This memory of the meeting pleases me, and it will inspire me and give me even more joy as i watch him in films, or rewatch all those grand films you just cannot get enough of like Aliens II, The Abyss, Terminator. I

Got to agree with D, he did look a pretty towering figure in Planet Terror. Hasnt aged much since Terminator/Aliens either.
D said on 22/Nov/08
Looked huge in Planet Terror, at the very least 6 ft. He looked 5'10-5'11 in Terminator but I think it was because he was so thin.
ds said on 22/Sep/08
He only looks taller than 6' because he's very very lean. Not wide and not a big guy, looks bigger in baggier clothes, taller in tight jeans, in Terminator when he was naked you can see how ripped he was. I'd say no more than 6'
chup said on 11/Sep/08
he looks 6 one half inch, the same heigth as Arnold
Hugh said on 9/Sep/08
Definitely 6ft if not slightly over. He was taller than Sigourney Weaver.

This guy is a solid six footer. No question. He's like Scott Bakula in this respect. Six foot. No more, no less. Men of this height are distinctive as they always look just a little above the average range and never look short.
RICHARD said on 3/Jul/08
Looked like a solid 6-footer in Terminator, and looked like he weighed only 160-165. In Aliens he looked around Sigourney Weaver and Bill Paxton's heights(5'11). His peak height was probably around 6' and now since he's over 50 he's probably 5'11
SL said on 29/Jun/08
Sigourney Weaver is 5'11" and he looked the same height as her in Aliens but no way is he 175#, his bones are small, have you seen how thin his wrists are? Maybe 165 if he's packing a little muscle, more likely 160 though and his bmi must be crazy low
yasir said on 23/Jun/08
yup, i thought he looked dot-on 5'10 in terminator 1, but when i heard 6ft... just couldnt buy it at all atfirst.

CheeseTime said on 22/Nov/07
Compared to Arnie in Terminator he looked tiny, but then you never saw them stand next to each other (for obvious reasons.) He does match up to Sigourney Weaver in Aliens though. I always thought he was about 5'10 until I noticed that.
Jon said on 23/Oct/07
In terminator i am going to say 155-170 lbs, 11-12 stone, pretty ripped & athletic type.
However Arnie being 6ft 2 at his prime in the film with big boots probably 6ft 4, big built wide, and had 100lbs over him, bigger looking is an understatement.
Marcelo C. said on 5/Oct/07
He looks quite tall. I agree 6ft. fits ´im.
Rusty james said on 28/Sep/07
190 lbs? thats like 13,14 stone.he looks lighter than that in terminator way lighter.
Shane said on 15/Apr/07
Accurate, solid six foot and probably more like 190lbs, standing on the beach with no shoes.
ted said on 27/Dec/06
yeah I met him a few times in 86 when I was bouncing in London. He's about an inch or so shorter than me 6'1" so 6ft. No taller.
Elio said on 15/Dec/06
Biehn and Arnie only share one single camera shot in Terminator where they are both stood next to each other, during which Arnie is being shot with a shotgun. So i'd hardly say 'Terminator' is a good movie to compare the two. Even if they both stood back to back in the movie it would be hard to judge as Biehn is wearing very flat sneakers and Arnold is wearing 'hideous leather boots' :) (his own words).
Big Dave said on 15/Dec/06
That looks about right. He did appear shorter than Arnie in The Terminator simply because he was. Arnie was nearly 6'2 in the 80's
TNTinCA said on 14/Feb/06
That seems about right for his height. In Aliens, he and Sigourney Weaver had several side by side scenes together and he was taller than she was. Not sure about footwear but being that she is so tall, it likely is an accurate height.
Interestingly, in Terminator, he did seem shorter than Arnie. Then again, that could have been footwear.
