Rob can you add films The Bofors Gun, Inadmissible Evidence, The Wilby Conspiracy, Robin and Marian, Laughter in the Dark, Hamlet (1969) and The Human Factor? Been a while since I saw Robin and Marian but I think Mr Venable is right that Nicol also had the edge on Connery. Maybe 189 is possible.

I remember an article in Time Magazine on Williamson when he first came to fame in the sixties for his Hamlet that gave his height as six foot four. Probably an early career exaggeration. Too small to play Little John, really. Or else Sean Connery was too tall to play Robin Hood.

Looked about 2in shorter than Neeson in Excalibur

If he was only 6'2", why was he so much taller than Sean Connery in "Robin and Marian"?

IF NICOL IS 6'2" THEN NIGEL TERRY(ARTHUR IN EXCALIBUR) MUST BE TALLER THAN 5' 7" WITCH THE WEB STATES AS TERRY LOOKS ONLY A FEW INCHES SHORTER THAN MERLIN (WILLIAMSON) IN EXCALIBUR. ESPECIALLY IN THE SCENE WITH WILLIAMSON AND TERRY WALKING SIDE BY SIDE DOWN A HALL AFTER MERLIN CURES THE WOUNDED LANCELOT. ANYBODY HAVE ANYTHING ON NIGEL TERRY'S ACTUAL HEIGHT?

Nicol Williamson is 6'3 . He was clearly taller than Sean Connery by one inch or so in "Robin and Marian" . He had the same height advantage even on Michael Caine in "The Wilby Conspiracy" . There is no scene in this last movie in which he is closer enough to Sidney Poitier to determine who's the taller of the two but I'd say that through the entire movie the height difference between Caine and Williamson is bigger than the difference between Caine and Poitier ( in this second case the second one being only fractionally taller than the first )
