I certainly wouldn't have guessed him above 5ft 10 next to tamsin grieg in Friday night dinner. Think costar mark heap is 6 foot and tom rosanthal is 5ft 10 also. Think both deserve a page since Simon, tamsin and now paul all have pages. Sad to hear of his passing he was very funny in FND. He Loved a bit of squirrel and some crimble crumble

I've found out that Paul starred in a film called 'The Libertine', in which Johnny Depp stars as a promiscuous, hedonistic poet from the reign of indulgent Stuart King, Charles II. As well as Paul and Johnny, the film includes in its all-star lineup John Malcovich, Samantha Morton and Rosamund Pike.

Paul Ritter was a Kent gentleman through and through, born in Gravesend, called so because the masses of graves that were dug to bury the victims of the Bubonic Plague ended in this Kentish town. He died in Faversham, a village that has particular significance for me because I went hop picking there one Autumn with friends. It was the hardest physical work I've ever done, with a 6am start and 5-6pm finish - and the money was atrocious! 😛

Give me an office job any day....

While staying in Faversham, Kent, I missed my chance to see Bob Geldof and Paula Yates one morning in Woolworths, because I wanted half-an-hour extra in bed to relax my aching muscles, rather than go shopping with my Australian friend. She and her husband saw the Geldofs going about their business regularly, so it meant nothing to her. I wouldn't have been able to resist going up to them for their autographs!

How terrible to read that we've lost another actor way before his time. Paul died of a brain tumour at just 54 earlier this month.
