Peter starred with David Jason in 'House Calls', an episode of 'A Touch of Frost', which has been shown on our TVs twice recently. He played a mentally challenged 40-year-old. What a contrast to the part he plays in 'Coronation Street', as a headmaster.

He literally towered over David Jason!

While still on the subject of Peter's weight-loss, I see no reason why he shouldn't take part in the nude charity calendar, or at least add his picture as the photographer.

If the Coronation Street cast really did make such a calendar, I'd buy it! Shortly after my last comment was written, there was an advert regarding children with cancer. It's such a cruel disease for anybody, but for children, it's just not fair. Ditto in the case of anybody, and the sooner a cure is found, the better.

Come on then, Corrie Cast! Nude calendars raising funds for good causes is a great idea!

He’s a tricky one. I think his posture varies at times, he does look as listed with those much shorter cast members in that linked photo. I could perhaps buy 5’11.5 as a peak height given his age.

Seriously, that DOES help prevent height loss, especially if your choice of foods is the high protein variety.

Brian starred in one of the first ever 'A Touch of Frost' episodes. He played a fellow with learning difficulties. Little did we know that a few years later, Peter would be playing a head teacher in 'Coronation Street'!

Five eleven flat I think is closer, compared to someone like Alan Halsall from Corrie who is 5ft 6, he doesn’t give the impression of being almost 6ft.

Probably heavier than 98kg in that picture. Around 105kg seems a bit more likely.

It’s great that Peter has been given his well deserved page but I have got to say I expected him to be a little bit under 5’11.5”!
