Peter Sallis Height

British Actor, best remembered for the TV series Last of the Summer Wine and as the voice of Wallace in Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. In his later career he was listed as 5ft 5 on his resume, but when a younger lad he was being described as Height 5 feet 8 inches.

Rob, I found this quote from 2014, from Last of the Summer Wine actress, Jean Alexander:

Rob, what height would you put Bill Owen at? 5’4”?
Sallis did strike me as around 2 inches taller than Owen on Last of the Summer Wine in the early 1970s. Plus, Owen wore wellies on that show.

I would go along with a flat 5’6” for Sallis, at peak. In Taste the Blood of Dracula, Sallis is approximately one inch shorter than Geoffrey Keen (who I think was a solid 5’7”). In an episode of The Persuaders!, Sallis doesn’t look much shorter than 5’9” listed Tony Curtis! In early episodes of Last of the Summer Wine, Sallis looks roughly two inches taller than 5’4” listed Bill Owen.
