In some of those photos you can say he could pass for 5ft 9

I’ve been having another look at him in Un Village Français and thinking more 5’9.5” now. 5’10.75” Nicolas Gob had a good inch on him, Sammel had a good 5cm on 5’7.75” Jochen Hägele and also edged out 5’9” Olivier Ythier. Hence, I think a strong 5’9” can be argued for Sammel, he typically fitted that 5’9” range build.

Rob, how tall do you think Sammel looks when with Fleurot?
Editor Rob
In a heel she can look taller than him, so I wouldn't say they were too far apart.

Rob, could you please upgrade Sammel an inch or two?

Check out these photos with Sammel and 5’8” Audrey Fleurot. I don’t know about footwear in the first one but I recall Fleurot was wearing heels in the last two. Even so, Sammel still out does her, signalling over 5’10” for him.

Remember him best for getting his head beaten to jelly, by Eli Roth, lol.

Another great addition to this site. I believed the 179cm listing for Sammel was accurate, as I have seen every episode of A French Village, and Sammel seemed only a hair shorter than 180cm listed Nicolas Gob, but I understand that Sammel rarely gave that 5'10.5" impression and Gob could have been shorter than 180cm.
