How terrible for Yasmeen to see her granddaughter stabbed right in front of her in their own restaurant, resulting in a punctured lung. ALL BECAUSE OF A RACIST THUG….
5ft3 peak and 5ft1.5.

I thought it rather brilliant that Shelley’s Yasmeen backed up Stu’s liking for singer and poet, Patti Smith! She was particularly big in the 70s and the two albums I remember were ‘Easter’ and ‘Horses’. Patti Smith peaked at 5ft7.
Shelley’s peak, in her long-haired ‘Angels’ days, wherein she played a nurse, was 5ft3 and today, I see 5ft1.25.

Hey Rob! I’ve found that Bill Fellows, who plays Stu Carpenter in Coronation Street, is 5ft10. He is 64 years old and doesn’t look any less. Please could he have a page? Thanks!
Sandy Cowell said on 27/Aug/22
I’m so pleased that Yasmeen heard it straight from the mouth of Stu’s solicitor that he was fitted up for that abysmal murder. NO WAY does he look an evil piece of work. Perhaps in time, Yasmeen and Stu stand a chance of happiness together. 🤞
Shelley gets 5ft3 for her peak and 5ft1.25 for today’s height.

Kelly Neelan doesn’t believe this business with Stu either and she’s doing her own investigating. I’m watching it now.
Millie Gibson plays her and I think the little lass deserves a page! 5ft1 perhaps…..?
Sandy C said on 8/Aug/22
I don’t think this awful business with Stu is as clear cut as his ex wife is making out. I can’t see it being black and white; there must be some grey areas, if indeed he did it at all.
Perhaps that’s just me being hopeful, but look how well he looked after homeless, lost teenager, little Kelly. Does that sound like a murderous person to you?
I hope Stu comes back to have his say - the truth, of course. Yasmeen and Stu were good together. 🥲

How splendid to see that Yasmeen is contemplating love again with the lovely, decent Stu. As they walked down the road together, hand in hand, I had a really warm feeling! ❤️
He’s at least a head taller than her.

I didn’t think the song Stu sang for Yasmeen was stupid at all.
It took guts to do that!
I’m glad her granddaughter pointed out the error of her judgemental ways.
NOBODY could equal Geoff in the conniving, scheming
and twisted department displayed by Geoff, let alone the well-meaning Stu!
5ft3.5 peak and 5ft1.5 now.

Stu is played by actor Bill Fellows. He was born in 1957 and stands 5ft10 tall.
🤗

I'm so glad Yasmeen has invited Stu round to her restaurant to sample the meals. Having been a cook himself, and losing his job because of the Covid virus, Stu is now homeless. He has proved that he's worth his weight in gold, getting that awful Corey banged up at last by providing the necessary proof - the bloody clothes he wore while kicking Seb to death.
His fortunes deserve to change. When I first saw him, I thought, "For Coronation Street, he's a KEEPER!"
I hope Yasmeen employs him. 😉👍
Peak - 5ft3; Now - 5ft1.25.

I just saw a much slimmer Ian Bartholomew guesting in an episode of 'Wycliffe' - being questioned by the police, of course! 😂😂😂
Ian played Shelley's screen husband on 'Coronation Street', and fell to his demise while trying to finish off Shelley's character, Yasmeen.
Shelley gets 5ft3 for her peak and one and three quarter inches less for today's height. 🐚😃👌💐
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 24/Feb/21
Poor Yasmeen has been left with a huge build-up of debts from her late bully of a husband, Geoff, actor Ian Bartholomew even making a guest 'haunting' in the second showing tonight! 👅
There should be laws against debts accrued in abusive relationships being paid off by the spouse. ☝️😤
Shelley's Peak - 5ft3; Now - 5ft1.25.

It's good to see Shelley's Yasmeen getting back to her old, confident self, talking down to that rotten Ray Crosby, and telling him to jog on! Well done, Yas!
😉👍🌹
Shelley's Peak height: 5ft3
Today's height: 5ft1.25

I found Yasmeen's chat with Tim very moving in yesterday's 'Coronation Street'. The two refrained from going to Geoff's funeral, but despite all she's been through with her late husband, she lent a sympathetic ear to her son-in-law. Lovely woman, who's at last getting her life back, but clearly needs some help because she's being 'haunted' by Geoff, which is part of her PTSD process.
5ft3 peak and 5ft1.25 today. 😁💐
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 10/Dec/20
That creep of a 'husband' of hers, Geoff, has really lost his rag now. I woke up just as 'Coronation Street' was ending yesterday, and in a matter of minutes, I felt exhausted just watching it!
5ft3 in her 'Angels' days and 5ft1.25 now. 😁💐
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 6/Dec/20
If Shelley's 'Coronation Street' character of Yasmeen is an alcoholic, then I'm six foot four! 👅
Shelley gets 5ft3 for her peak and 5ft1.25 for these days. 😁💐
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 16/Oct/20
Shelley is starring in a classic episode of 'Casualty'. She's said gruffly to her daughter, "Get me some magazines - with celebrities - NOW!"
It can't be from that long ago because she still looks the same.
Peak - 5ft3
Today - 5ft1.25 🏥☹️
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 27/Jul/20
That dream Shelley's Yasmeen had on the morning of what was supposed to be the court case was scary enough to give anyone a heart attack, let alone someone who's been tormented by Geoff for the space of time that she had. She has PTSD and shouldn't have to stand trial.
Next to his 5ft9 son, Geoff looks no taller than 5ft7/5ft7.25. He's played by Ian Bartholomew.
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 7/Jul/20
That evil husband of Shelley's Yasmeen has really done a number on her. She refuses to accept that he was a monster to her, but I'm glad to say that the frail lady is opening up to Sally, admitting that she was scared of husband Geoff. I hope Yasmeen tells Sal that he held a knife to her person, and what she did was self-defence.
5ft1.25 today and 5ft3 for her peak. 😁
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 16/Jun/20
I'm so glad that Shelley's Yasmeen has pleaded NOT GUILTY! Now it's down to Sally to gather as much evidence as possible to clear the frail, emotionally battered lady.
5ft3 peak and 5ft1.25 now. 😁💐

@ Rob - I should have mentioned his name: Geoff Metcalfe is played by Ian Bartholomew.
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 29/May/20
That horrible husband of hers is still walking about as if butter wouldn't melt....
What a stinker! Please can he have a page, Rob? 😃
Yasmeen is clearly suffering from PTSD while Geoff is playing the hapless victim. 😝🖕
Shelley gets 5ft1.25 and 5ft3 for her peak.

@ Sandy Cowell - It crossed my mind that he might survive too!
@ Andy5'91/2 - Probably 5’6” range or maybe 5’7”.
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 4/May/20
Oh stink, stink, stink, stink and more stink! I suspected that evil bully Geoff would probably survive. What the heck will happen now? I hope it's realised that this was a case of self- defense, after months of the worst mental torture imaginable.
I should imagine that if Yasmeen ends up in prison, it'll be like a holiday camp in comparison to her life with Geoff.
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 4/May/20
It's good to see her smiling in the picture. She hasn't had many opportunities for that in 'Coronation Street' lately, alas.
This is for you, Shelley: 🤗
Andy5'91/2 said on 4/May/20
I think 5’1 1/4 is very fair but i wouldnt rule out 5’1 1/8 but how tall do u reckon her on screen husband geoff is? Ive seen some argue 5’10 and some say over 6’0 i believe not sure if hes ever claimed his height though
Editor Rob
I wouldn't have guessed over 5ft 8

How fantastic to see Shelley getting her page on Celebheights! I am so pleased, Rob - thank you multiplied by 10,000!
The coercive control story involving Shelley's character, Yasmeen, and her evil husband Geoff Metcalfe, has had us all gripped for literally weeks. Never have I seen such a cruel scenario acted out in front of the cameras, even in films, yet this was part of a Soap opera. The only reason they got away with such a strong storyline is because it didn't involve physical violence, but it showed how destroying somebody mentally is easily as bad as physical abuse. Nobody came to Yasmeen's rescue because she wasn't black and blue, giving her abuser all the more scope for his mental torment of her. She's tiny and skinny - no way is she 124lbs now, and Geoff felt all-powerful as he systematically set out to go to work on ruining the educated former pillar of the community.
He was resentful of her education as well.
He called her fat, made her eat one of her beloved pet chickens, controlled her money, made her - and others - think she was an alcoholic, visited prostitutes and insodoing, passed on to her an STI, giving him even more scope to persecute her. When this week, he discovered she had packed her bags with the intention of leaving him, he burnt her clothes and goodness only knows what else of personal value to her, locking her in to watch through the glass conservatory door. He even faked a heart condition to prevent her from attending a family wedding, which her granddaughter attended, so she was totally alone this week.
Then when the 'couple' were invited out for a meal, you see the tiny, mentally battered, fragile woman sitting on the pub's bathroom/toilet floor and literally cracking up. Then when she learns that her oh-so-generous husband has been financing his son's up-and-coming wedding with HER money, she understandably asks questions. The bully frogmarches her out, claiming to the others that she isn't well, (she certainly doesn't look it) and takes her back to the house nearby, where he intends to lock her in again. Seeing that there's scope for more mental battering, he tells her that the dress he had her wear for the evening was meant for a young, firm, buxom-figured prostitute and again tells her how revolting, smelly and past it she is. Then he starts waving a knife at her, saying that no one would notice if he did away with her. What else had she to do but to defend herself?
Metcalfe is hardly a big man, but next to her, he felt all-powerful. That the Soaps show stories like this makes you shudder to think that these things go on in real life. It's a good thing that they give a helpline number at the end of each episode.
This was the most extreme and disturbing case of mental abuse I have ever seen on TV or film.
Shelley gets 5ft3 for her peak height and 5ft1.25 for today's height. She doubtless had to lose weight during the making of this because she looks no more than 104/105 pounds now.
She deserves an award for her performance - and she'll get it!
