When I watched Halloween III: Season of the Witch, I definitely thought he was taller before I looked it up, like 6ft 1.5 (1.87m). I guess he has one of those faces of a tall guy. That and paired next to shorter co-actors maybe.

He's definitely under 5'9" today at 87 years old. He looks great and is as sharp and energetic as ever, but he's pushing 90 years old and has easily lost 2".

Just saw him on an episode of MASH and yea he looked around 3" shorter than a perennially stooped over Alan Alda who was 6'2" so I'll vote Tom in at a weak 5'11" when younger, probably 'round 5'9 or so nowadays. Tom was around 45 in that MASH episode, so still a relatively young man.

In 1982 Halloween III: Season of the Witch i thought Tom look a full 180cm at first glance and then change look more 5'10 1/2 so maybe 5'10 3/4 was legit. 5'9 now i supposed was true.

I'm surprised by this. I thought he was about 6ft. One of those guys where you recognise the face but probably wouldn't be able to name him, at least prior to the web.

Love this guy in the classic horror movies! I met him a year ago and could NOT believe his height because I always thought he looked a strong 6'-6'1 on film. I'm 5'8.5 and I was a little taller. He's about 5'8.

met him a month ago and 5'9" is dead on. I always thought he was quite a bit taller but I guess he is about 78 years old now.

Is in 5 of my favorite 80's horror movies: The Fog (1980), Creepshow (1982), Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982), Night of the Creeps (1986) and Maniac Cop (1988). Underrated actor. Hard to believe he's lost 2", but then again, for his age, that's about average height loss.

I think he looked around 5'11" at times in The Fog but yeah was probably sub-5'11" near Danny Glover, as to whether he's shorter looking than Mel Gibson at peak compared to Glover, I'm not sure.

Editor Rob in the 80's I think he could look above 5ft 10, but then 7 years ago I thought when I seen him he wasn't that much taller than myself.
