Funny he says above that he's tired of people thinking he's 6'0. I would say he looks as low as 6'0 though in a few pics he can but thats only a few pics.I dont think he looks as much as 6'2 though. I'd stick with 6'1, no more.

He probably is about 6'2. If you look at the height chart pic, he is maybe 1/4 of an inch under 6'3, so without his trainers on that would be around
6'1 & 3/4" to 6'2.
He slouches a lot though, and in the first two seasons of fresh prince, he seemed to still be growing slightly.

Yeah, both Magic and Larry Bird were touted as 6-9 so I was shocked when I saw them together in street clothes and Bird was noticeably taller. Magic is 6-7.5 at best. What I couldn't believe was why they would fib about a point guard when most of them are 6-5 and under!

The pic with Will Smith, Jim Caviezel, and Magic is at a very bad angle to judge Will's true height and he is clearly sulked over to squeeze in the picture. If you judge the size of Jim's head compared to Will's you can tell that he is noticeably closer to the camera and therefore appears taller.

I does seem that his good friend Tom Cruise is open about his exact height (at least in shoes) which is 5'7 3/4". George Lucas is about 5'6"-5'7", Bill O Reilly is 6'4" according to the web. But no one can deny a full body photo of Will with his close friend Tom, both apparently wearing shoes with "regular" size heels (about 3/4"). True, Will is bent over a little but with some guestimation, it isn't likely to make up any more than about 4-5 inhces which would put Will at about 6'..plus maybe 1/2". But..what I did learn while searching on the web was that celebrities heights are commonly give with shoes which can add anywhere between 1"-2" for men or evenly slightly more. I rest my case. And for the record, when Magic came into the NBA, he was measured at 6'8 3/4" at the age of I believe around 20. So..not 6'7" as posted here, he is definately taller. I agree with both Alan & Louisa - reason I came on this site was I was surprised how much taller than Jonathan Ross Will Smith was and wanted to check them both out. Unless JR is much shorter than claimed on this site.

If you still don't understand see the Ray Romano page, theres discussions on an episode where they rigged the ruler measuring his height so he would appear shorter than his real height, check it out.

In the movie Hancock he stands infront of a police height chart. Now assuming the height chart is correctly measured from the floor and not lowered for movie purposes, will still barely hits 6'2 if that, yeah his head looks like its 6'3 but I slowed the trailer down on my PS3 and he is about a foot away from the wall! you can see his shadow. Back him up a foot and see what height he is.

The director looks 6 or 7 inches shorter in the first photo. In the second photo Will looks marginally taller. Posture and camera angles are not gonna account for that kinda drop. He has to be a lift man. I still see him at 6'1" though.

Rob , you think he took this new 6'2.5 in shoes ? ... Why would they take your height in shoes ? My Doctor's take my height barefoot ... So Smith's height was taken barefoot and really is 6'2.5 or hes not and is just doing a Jack Black ( 5'7.5 ... LOL ) ?
BTW guys , any clue on how tall Perry Moore who played Tyriq on Fresh Prince is ? ... Saw an episode where he and Smith are both barefoot and Smith was taller ... Only like an inch though ! The episode was when some boy band used there house to film a music video !

In enemy of the state he is clearly taller than Gene hackman when they stand face to face.
Smith should either be upped to 6'2 or Hackman taken down...I know hackman would have lost SOME height, but not THAT much..

I think the reason why they said Avery was only 6-3 on the show was to make Will appear younger than he was. Remember, he was a guy in his 20's playing a teenager, so they probably wanted to still project him as a teenage kid who should be much smaller than the adults on the show...

Editor Rob heights get stored in inches so both 1.5 and 1.75 would show up 187cm, only 6ft 1.25 would show 186cm really, but I think he's closer to 187 yes.
