Anthony in Dr. No

Could be any of the three
A. 6’2.25 out of bed and 6’1.5 at afternoon/evening
B. 6’2 out of bed and 6’1.25 afternoon evening
C. 6’2 1/8” out of bed and 6’1 3/8 afternoon evening
Rob prob went with B or C when he listed him being 6’1.5 is supposedly lunchtime or near that but I don’t rule out A either.

@ Rampage, if you look at the first minute and last 30 seconds of this video, I would say its far from settled that Dawson was taller than Milland...

Rory and Arch, I’m glad we’ve come to a compromise, lol. I can see why some might guess him shorter as his posture isn’t good. I personally think he actually made Milland look 6ft1 tops in Dial M. A more genuine 6ft1½ than him and Moore.
I do think Connery invalidates him being a full 6ft2 though.

You must really like your Bond movies, Gerald! I own only two. I think they’re more of a guys’ thing.

I think this probably is a fair mark for him, very close to Roger Moore in both Ivanhoe and The Saint but maybe just edging him ever so slightly. I think 1.5 is top end though, I'd completely rule 6ft2 out.

Ooh look! We have a new Anthony! They go by so many names, but this one’s a TALL one at 6ft1.5.
I was trying to find the height of Anthony Valentine, who starred with Christopher Lee, Honor Blackman and Richard Widwark in the Hammer film ‘To The Devil - A Daughter’. He gave a very giggly interview on an ‘extra’ from the film which was entitled on the grounds of ‘To the Devil - The Death of Hammer’. Indeed it was for many years, and then Hammer films made ‘The Resident’, which starred Christopher Lee, of course! 😍
I’m going to have to check out Anthony’s films. Many of them ring a bell, especially ‘The Jigsaw Man’.
Well then, tall Anthony is getting 6ft1.5 from moi. Ideally, I need to compare and contrast via one of his movies.

Yes! This is a good call Rob.
I think Wiseman deserves a page as well. 6ft range for sure, stronger likelier than weak. Held up well next to Connery

Great add! He was in Midnight Lace too.

Rob, could you please add The Curse of the Werewolf to Dawson’s credits?
As for his listing, 6’1.5” is a great figure. From looking at his Dr. No scenes again, 6’2” seems a bit much but he was still comfortably over 6’1”.

Rob, while on the subject of Dr. No actors, could Joseph Wiseman/Dr. No himself please also get a page? 6’0.5” is a perfect figure I think.

The Bond Actors tag is steadily improving but still missing its first main villain who started it all and set the tone for all his successors.

I'm aware he is one that is missing.
