Lamar Odom was listed 6'10" during the draft, but he was not measured at that height. He skipped the predraft camp in Chicago, so no physical data is available for him from the 1999 draft.

@JT Good post, JT. These are all pics I have on my laptop. I was just looking at a pic of 6-10.25 barefoot height Chris Bosh and Pau Gasol has him by about an 1"... I see Gasol around 6'11", which would make Dirk Nowitzki around 6'10". The reason I say this is b/c Kevin Garnett is 6'11" and is TALLER than Dirk. That's right, the linchpin of my argument is that a 6'11" Garnett is TALLER than Nowitzki. Don't believe me...? Go look. That leaves Tim Duncan as 6'9" next to a 6'8" Bill Russell prior to his death. @Christian: that’s a very good estimate for Dirk. He’s 6’10 range next to Caron Butler who is at least a legit 6’5” in person.

@Sotiris: I agree that Kobe’s height is a good benchmark. I think he’s 194.5-195 range. I’ve also met Caron Butler several times including playing against him when I was in high school and AAU. He’s at very most an inch taller than me and I’m almost exactly an inch shorter than Christian at 6’4 1/4-3/8. And it wouldn’t surprise me if Butler measures slightly lower than Christian most days.

6'10.5" is more realistic for Dirk after seeing more pics of him. It's clear that Show's shorter than 6'10.5". I highly doubt as low as 6'8" but maybe 6'9.5" at worst.

Sotiris, like I said the photos you posted on Twitter are of no value in height comparison. I could post photos where Show barely looks taller than Drew McIntyre (whom I met and is roughly 6'4 out of gear) but that's not a smoking gun either.

@Christian 6'5 3/8" I'm glad you said Dirk Nowitzki isn't taller than 6'11"... but I would go as far as saying he isn't more than 6'10". Everyone here agrees that Kobe Bryant is 6'4.75". There's a consensus on that. Kobe's height can be used as a benchmark to compare others... Google up some pics of Dirk and Kobe together (there are plenty to choose from) and you can clearly see that Dirk is only 6'10". The proof is right there. And that means Show is only 6'8". I don't understand why ppl can't see this. Dirk TOWERED over Show. There's NO way Show is even close to 6'10.5". It's BEYOND laughable. Seriously, Rob, I just don't understand why you or anyone else can't see this...

@Vegas' Thanks for posting those pics of Dirk and Show. Those pics are actually hard to find; they don't typically pop up on Google images. I gotta say, though, I'm ASTOUNDED that you don't see these pics as smoking-gun proof that Show can't be more than 6'8" next to Dirk... He just can't. I'd love to hear some feedback from others... What do you guys think...?

Photo I posted of Show and Dirk is perfectly vertical, in fact a member here altered it that it was so. Ground, feet etc is important to see because someone could be on tip-toes, standing on something, ground might not be level etc. Without stuff like that we are left with Dwayne Johnson looking a similar height as Robert Horry in a photo Click Here

I understand very well about basketball listings. Big show was listed 7'1 by the NCAA at division 1 level. 2 maybe 3 inch height inflation I can buy but 5 inch inflation, come on now. If it's a fact Dirk is 6'10 please post his barefoot height measurements which I assume you have on hand. The NBA have released detailed measurements of past classes such as Click Here

Sotiris, this is a height forum so if you come onto it and start making estimates well below the average especially of guys some of the forum members such as myself have met in person you can expect to be debated.

Every photo of Big Show, Andre, Hogan, Undertaker etc with a celebrity that can be found via Google search has already been discussed on here in depth. Unless you have some new unseen evidence to provide such as a photo/video of you/your friends standing with a wrestler or a screenshot from a magazine imploring people to look at photos or asking Rob who has run this site for 12-13 years to change his estimate based on a few photos that have already made the rounds is a fruitless task.

Dirk is not way closer in that photo. Their back feet are in the same position and his front foot is maybe 3 inches closer to camera..Dirk is slightly standing ahead of Big Show in the other photo. As for Chandler, in normal footwear him and Dirk look close in height e.g Click Here

I had a look at your Twitter and no offense but your photos are not good for height comparison. The photo you posted of Dirk and Chandler, Dirk is wearing shower sandels/flip-flops so about an inch less footwear. Same photoshoot Russell is still solid 6'9 and has half an inch footwear advantage Click Here

Shaq isn't 6'11 as he is noticeably taller than men who measured 6'11.25 barefoot and again photo isn't good for comparing as Dirk is leaning on shaqs shoulder. The best shot of Dirk and Show by far is the one I posted. It's the only one that shows ground/feet/stances and only one where they are close to same distance from the camera.

I met Big show a half a dozen times between 2001 and 2010 and I can assure you he wasn't 6'8 or 6'9 then. Wight was listed sometimes as high as 7'1 in college basketball and articles in local newspapers were written on his size at the time..do you think they would have been that interested in him if he was 6'8? I contend that a 5-foot-4 Kelly Kelly (5'8" in those heels) means that Big Show looks 6-foot-9 (MAX) in that pic. Comparing this pic to Andre the Giant w/ 5-foot-3 (MAX) Debbie Harry (5'6" in heels) also lends credence to a 6-foot-9 Andre. My 2 cents, exempt from inflation... of heights. In other words, time for a downgrade, Rob. I'd really like some feedback from ppl who've seen those pics of Show next to 6-foot-10 barefoot height Dirk Nowitzki...

Big show is/was more than 2 inches taller than Strowman, Kane, Taker and Akebono so if he is 6'8 then all those guys are sub 6'5! I met and was photographed with Baron Corbin who was measured 6'6 barefoot at NFL combine and he is certainly more than 2 inches shorter than Big Show in person (or at least was when I last met Show in 2010).

I agree w/ you, Rob, at times Big Show can look 6'9". Case in point: a good pic of him standing next to legit 6-foot-8 Scott L. Schwartz when they both played green aliens on the "Borderland" episode of Star Trek: Enterprise... but that was way back in 2004. Nowadays, most likely due to the excess weight he carried around for years resulting in compressed vertebrae, I really do think Show is more 6'8" by nightfall. A good comparison would be Babatunde Aiyegbusi (hope I spelled that right), who the Minnesota Vikings listed as 6-foot-8, 351 lbs (WWE billed height was 6'10"). There are online pics of Babatunde w/ Braun Strowman, who's clearly only 6'6". There are even pics of Strowman standing next to legit 6-foot-7 Aaron Judge. My favorite is Aaron Judge shaking hands w/ Big Cass b/c it proves they're the SAME height. Anways, I'm a BIG fan of CelebHeights... Keep "up" the good work.

Big Show is currently 6-foot-8 barefoot. Everyone's seen the pics of him in dress shoes outside of the ring with Shaq (who's around 6-foot-11 barefoot). There's pics of him with Hulk Hogan who's around 6'2" nowadays. Show was NEVER 7 feet tall. The only way he's 6'10" is with those big boots in the ring. Quinton Dial at the NFL Combine measured 6’5-3/8” & 318 lbs barefoot. Big Show is leaning a bit also. And Dial has the “looking up tilted angle” in his favor. So, taking into consideration that Dial is closer to 6’5.5” rather than 6’5”...and Big Show losing at least a 1/2” inch in the lean/angle...you can absolutely say that Big Show is 6’11” !

Nash is looking 6'10" next to DDP. He looks about 6" taller and DDP is about 6'4" or maybe a tad under now. I'm not saying Nash is 6'10, but he does look like it in that recent pic. Pictures can be deceptive though. Big Show is much closer to the camera, so it's hard to tell how he actually stacks up. He usually looks 6'10"-6'11" these days, so I'd guess that's what he is. I think about 6'11.5" prime and about 6'10.5" now makes sense. It doesn't seem like Nash has shrunk. He seemed 6'9" in his prime and still looks about that height.

The few exceptions have been guys who are filling in temporarily at center or are very heavy but still maintain some level of agility. 2 inches is about the most college listings will be exaggerated.

Thanks. That was held at the Cineramadome on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, where I saw many movies as a kid. If you look at photos of the theater as well as on Google Earth, you can see the slope of the sidewalk as well as the entrance sloping up to the theater lobby, which makes sense for water drainage. That probably explains many of these photos and why full body photos are needed where we can see the slope of the ground, footwear, postures, etc. Roy Hibbert would be the orange figure standing against the wall in your video. I think he would measure 6´10" still, he´s in normal dress shoes so we can see his actual height, not his big soled giantboot in ring height.
He already looked 6´9"ish next to LeBron, it´s amazing how close he is to Andres body meaurements (except Andres much bigger hands and feet and acromegalic features), allthough Big Show had the tumor fixed age 18 or so.

Big Show is indeed the second coming of Andre, just with the tumor fixed. 6´10-6´11" 500+lbs peakweight Giant, reasonable billed as Andres son in WCW.

The buildings behind in some of the pics reveal a big camera tilt but he still does not look very tall there. I read he had hip surgery recently but if done right there should not be any height loss.

If Hogan is only 6'3" then Show cannot be 7'. That is just a fact. He looked 6'9"-6'10" if Hogan is 6'3". He basically stacked up next to Hogan now how Andre did in 1980. Again, I will point out the obvious. Show and Andre were about 6'11" in their prime, but Show looked taller because of footwear and posture differences.

Andre had surgery after WM2 1986, before filming Princess Bride. I doubt he was 6´9" after that as he still looked strong 6´10" in 1991.
Andre was imo maybe down to 6´9.5" in 1992 when he could barely walk. So they maybe meant it this way, down to 6´9" range at the end of his life, after back surgery and his Body turning against him.

Unlike Andre I think big show was built up by wcw with some kind of footware enhancement together I'n their prime I thought they might be the same height,but now I think André was actually 0.5 to 1.0 inches taller than show its not height loss it's shoe loss in shows pics with Shack.

It's no surprise Big Show has lost height. Whether a full 7ft or not is the question. I can understand estimates of 6ft 11.5 range for him, but I wouldn't ever go as low as 6ft 11 peak for him.

Always thought he looked 7'0" when I was 5 years old, but in 2015 in the royal Rumble he looked just 6'10" with 6'7" Kane. As for 2017 Big Show's weight loss has made his posture way better to the point he is 6'11" and 7'0" with shoes. Shaq is definitely shorter than Wilt Chamberlain who is 7'1" 1/4 I suspect Shaq is somewhere 7'0" 3/4 or 7'0". Not sure if Big Show was on a declining sidewalk with Shaq at the red carpet event or not...but, that's nearly a 3" difference! Seriously! That's a 2.75" difference!! Shaq has a proven & documented pre draft barefoot height measurement of 7'0.75". There are also rumored 7'1" & 7'0-1/2" barefoot measurements of Shaq. However, the 7'0.75" is documented in the NBA draft data bank. 7'0-3/4" & 303lbs barefoot. So? Shaq 7'0.75 & Big Show 6'10" is very possible?? Unless, Big Show was on a slightly declining sidewalk.

Tragically, Paul Wight has “shrunk” faster than most people his own age have. When he played college basketball his height was listed as 7’1”. He was probably between 7’ and 7’1” for the first 10 to 15 years of his pro wrestling career, but over time, he has lost a noticeable amount of height, as we can see when he stands next to Shaq who is still a solid 7’1”. I saw Paul Wight 5 years ago, and I would guess his height as 6’11”.

So with Strowman in inside lifted boots wich in total give about the same height as Big Shows platforms, the gap between them looks real and it is 3 inches. Strowman not in Lifts would mean Big Show is 6´8 3/4" barefeet.

Strowman at 6´6 3/4" puts Big Show at 6´9 3/4", Big Show - giving the benefit of doubt could stretch to 6´10-10 1/4" with max posture, Strowman is already straight as hell.

Stern was basically joking that he was taller than Shaq, and Shaq lies about his height, and then Shaq joked that they add 3-4 inches to his billed height in the NBA to make him look meaner. That was basically the joke. But a lot of people take it out of context. Shaq was measured at nearly 7’1, in the combine, flat footed.

Looked 6’11” with a 6’8.5” Big Cass and a 6’7” Strowman. He might’ve been only 3.5” taller than Undertaker some 9 years ago in a photo I saw of the entire Smackdown roster. Undertaker may have been 6’8” at that point and Big Show was 6’11.5” as he had lost maybe a fraction of his height in his mid-30s. But Undertaker was still about 6’8” until 2015-2016. Then he dropped some height and became around 6’7.25” (201.3 cm).

I met Bill Anderson once, in 1996. I was 20 going on 21 years old. I'm 5'11" barefoot "legit"! Morning 5'11-1/4"...Night 5'10-7/8"...I would've guessed Bill to be 6'0-1/2" in 1996. I had me by a solid 1.5" inches. IMO...Bill Anderson 6'0.5" (barefoot)

You're the one getting pissy. You will never be able to accept that Andre and Big Show were the same height. You can make all pics you want, but anybody with a shred of common sense can tell that Show and Andre were very close in height. Backlund was 6'1". That is a fact. I met him in 2013 and he was still about 6'. Again, all the evidence I've seen shows me Andre and Show were both around 6'11" in their prime. Show may have been slightly taller than Andre, but there's a reason Andre isn't listed as 6'9.5"/6'10" and Show as 7' on this site like you want it to be. It's because both men were obviously similar in height.

I genuinely think Big Show in 2006 was easily over 500 lbs, particularly towards the ecw run time around September to December he looked like he ballooned something crazy - like genuinely he was gaining more and more every week. He could have been close to 550 before he took hiatus he was that gargantuan
