Hogan still had 3 inches on vince when they fought at wrestlemania, evidence has been posted here more than once. Hogan was at least 6'4 at the time.

A younger hogan TOWERED vince even without big boots:

Notice when vince and hogan are side by side near the end of the video, pause at around 4.49 for example, its a HUGE difference, 5 inches easly...so...where are "those massive cowboy boots and internal lifts"???

Get real, hogan was HUGE.
Anonymous said on 4/Nov/08
I agree these Wrestlers wear Cowboy boots with a Big Heel plus an internal lift
I seen Tatanka look 5ft 9 in sneakers and look alittle over 6ft in cowboy boots
Macho Man, Hogan all did the same thing..Also i met Todd Pettengil he use to work for the WWF and he looked 5ft 7 to 5ft 8 and when he used to interview wrestlers he looked about 5ft 11 in boots

OOFatman, ok lets say slightly over 4... between 4-5! but this heels is huge as even you pointed out. 3 inches between them barefooted still, imo

Ola: here's how I see it. Whether you admit it or not, Hogan had Vince by at least 5" there if not 5.5" if he would have stood straight. His boots looked to have had a 2.5" heel. You figure Vince had normal 1" to 1.5" heeled dress shoes on, thus, Hogan had about a 1" to 1.5" height advantage imo, bringing his barefoot height over Vince about 4". Remember, just because you have on 2.5" heels on, doesn't mean they give you an actual 2.5" over your barefoot height. I personally don't think Vince was over 6-1, so you have about a 6-5 Hogan there in 1990.
Hugh said on 4/Nov/08
There isn't even four inches there. I'd say throughout the 80's Hogan was 6ft6 legit. Shrunk about 2 inches max making him a solid 6ft4 nowadays. Greg looks 6ft2ish in that picture.
Anonymous said on 4/Nov/08
there is a backstage interview with hogan and vince in 1989 and hogan only has vince by 3 inches max then, those massive cowboy boots and internal lifts he wore back in the day made him look much taller

so much words... but not a proof!

In this vid it looks a solid 5" if not slightly more. Before you get a chance, YES, I know he is wearing huge cowboy boots, but that was what I said earlier; slightly more than 5" over Vince in his big boots.

Now, fast forward 12 years, we have Hogan who is barely taller than Vince in 2002. Sad but true. I see a minimum of 3" height loss for Hogan in the last 18+ years and most of it occuring in the last 7-8 years.

That video shows Hogan after his so called height loss in 1990. The video is from July 16, 1990. Just 2 months after he left the WWF. One thing is for sure, he didn't have any back surgery inbetween.

No, Ola, you're not getting off that easy. On September 8, 2008, you said Greg looked "more like 5'6" to me". If Greg were to pose for a picture, what measuring unit (cinder blocks, a yard stick, a car, etc.) should he stand by to accurately prove his height? Would you believe ANYTHING you saw regarding Greg's height???

People do not realize the head of hair that Hogan had back in the mid to late 70's. It gave him a soild inch,if one believes Hogan was even a flat 6'5 in the mid to late 80's(and most do)then you can connect that a 1975-1979 Hogan,21-25yr old, could have been 6'6. He quickly went bald by the late 80's. If you line up the skulls of Hogan and Hasslehoff and forget about the Hoff's hair, you can see that Hogan was still 6'4 in 2006. 6'6 1976, 6'5 1986, 6'4 2006 Which means he only lost about a normal 1 actual inch the whole time. He could be about 6'3.75 today.

Only when hogan had his cowboy boots OR if vince was barefooted at ringside... first then, hogan appeared 4 inches taller. else it was only around 3

Nope. Back in the 80's Hogan had Vince by about 5.5" or slightly more when he was in his BIG heeled cowboy boots. Vince came up BELOW Hogan's eye level. He had him by at least 4" w/o them. Uh oh, I forgot; since Hogan only had 18" arms then his eyelevel to the top of his head was probably only really like 3" lol. BTW, I bet you are real honored to have earned Ola's respect Wrestling lover! lmfao

Hogan Had VInce by a minimum of 4 inches in the 1980s maybe more.

Hogan seemed taller than COnan as well. I think maybe Hasselholf and Hogan would be the same height barefoot.
Wrestling lover said on 30/Oct/08
Some people on this site are arguing that Hogan was only 6'4 peak, the only thing I have to say is Hogan consistantly looked 6'6 in the 1970's and 80's. Look at his match with Andre the Giant in 1980 he only looked 4-5 inches shorter putting him at 6'6 -6'7. Also look at him next to 6'4 Bossman and 6'4 Bundy he had two inches on both of those guys again supportinge 6'6 height. He towered over at least 6'1 Mcmahon by a minimum of 5 inches. He looked 9-10 inches taller than SLy whose height seems hard to determine but I say about 5'9. The one and only pic that I have seen so far in which he seems shorter than 6'6 is next to Ben Davidson. But one pic isn't enough evidence to say he was shorter when we have so much proof which supports a strong 6'6 for a peak Hogan. And today he looks to be 6'4. I think a two inch height loss is very believable considering the fact that his body has been through so many injuries.

OOFatman said on 22/Oct/08
I can not stand this nonsense about Hogan's arms any more! There is absolutely no doubt that Hogan had MASSIVE arms. Of course they were never as cut as someone like Lou Ferrigno or Arnold, but he had MASS. I'm not the first to say this, CUT arms appear BIGGER than BULKY arms. It is not that hard to believe Hogan had well over 20" arms. As it has been brought up many times before, he recently had them taped on Rachael Ray's show and they were still around 20". I have no problem believing that. For a comparison, I am 5'11" and around 285 lbs with about 19" arms. As my alias implies, yes I'm a big guy, but I'm not your typical fatass. I actually have definition in my arms; most of my excess fat is stored around my waistline, not my arms and legs. Point being, if someone such as myself who rarely lifts weights has measurements that Ola is saying Hogan's PEAK arms were (which is ridiculous btw), then is it really that hard to conceive that Hogan had at least 22" arms in his prime? Only intelligent people reply please (Ola, this does not mean you)lol.

Sure his arms don't look that big because they are a lot longer than most mens arms compare his arms with Scott Steiner, Scott's arms look bigger because they are shorter Hulk still had bigger arms

Both Andre and Hogan's heights were bumped an inch at WM3, to 6'8" (mentioned by Jesse when comparing him to Andre in the staredown) and 7'5" which is noted by Gorilla. Growing up I recognized Hogan's traditional bill as 6'8" and Andre's as 7'4" for whatever reason, but realized a few years ago that Hogan was clearly billed 6'7" before WM3. This would be a pretty logical overbill for him since he was definitely 6'6" at the time. Andre's SUPER overbill was unnececssary by about 2.5" by WM3. All they needed to do was bill him 7'2.5" and he would have been taller than Kareem, and that wouldn't have been too bad, not as bad as 7'4" or 5." Hogan's arms were definitely in that 24" range, and his arms and chest are MUCH bigger during flexes than at rest.
Jeremy said on 20/Oct/08
Hogan was never 6'7" much less 6'8", nowadays he's 6'3.5", 6'4 tops, just like I'm 7'0.5", not 7'2"

In the tale of the tape before his match with Andre The Giant at Wrestlemania III his arms were listed as being 24" , however this may be exaggerated as WWE also bill their superstars as being taller and heavier in most cases than they actually are. Hogan was listed as being 6'8 by Gorilla Monsoon in this match for example.

Yes, don't beleive the japan billing as being better than anywhere else. People in Japan are probably saying that Hogan was 6'8 because he was billed as being that in the U.S for 20 years.

The heights in Japanese Pro-wrestling are as bad or even worse than in the US. The weights there are even more off. I've got a match of Giant Baba vs. King Kong Bundy and they were trying to convince the audience that Baba weighed around 25 lbs more than King Kong Bundy lol.

However Tenta was measured and weighed in sumo wrestling, which is a legitimate sport. Even legitimate sports exaggerate sport stats though, but I believe sumo wrestling isn't one of them.

Ola, if you think all wrestling stats are fake, how come you do believe the stats of Alexander Karelin who was listed at 6'4, 286 lbs. According to your usual theory he would probably be 6', 220 lbs.

Ghost, no tenta wasnt close to that height! in sumo they are also billed the wrestlers exacly like everywhere else so dont take the 6'5 3/4 claim seriously. Tenta at that height would result into a 6'2 1/2 sting (taller than his billed height) a 6'3 warrior, a 6'3 1/2 jerry sags(taller than his billed height) a 6'4 1/2 typhoon(billed to 6'3...)

Actually, no. In sumo, contestants are measured and weighed legitimately. One person actually planted a plate into the top of his head to meet the height-requirements. A legit measurement is much better proof than what a guy might have looked like next to another guy in the ring. Tenta's boots were also pretty flat. Sting was probably around 6'2 so him looking half an inch taller is impossible? Is all of this based on grainy youtube videos of matches these guys have had?

Check your eyes (again). Hillbilly is taller than Fralic and Spivey is closest to the camera therefor looking taller than Fralic and Hillbilly. It's difficult to pinpoint where the top of Hillbilly's head is under that afro, but seeing as his eyelevel is higher, I doubt the top of his head would be lower than Fralic's, seeing as Hillbilly had a huge head. If Fralic raised his head, his eyelevel would probably be on the same level as Hillbilly's. If that goes for the top of their heads aswell is the question.

yep thats right... hogan was easily the smallest of these guys. fralic did actually measure up way better next to studd than what hogan did

Fralic may have been taller than Hogan which I doubt but he certainly wasn't nearly as heavy. Studd was likely closer to 330 pounds while Hogan was about 300 and fralic was likely around 270-280.

Click Here Hogan definitely had a larger upper body than Fralic and probably outweighed him by at least 20 lbs.

Regarding "6'0.5"" Greg: Click Here (Otis Wilson [far right] is NFL-listed at 6'2") Click Here Hogan has spandex pants on in the pic with Mr. T, so he might be wearing cowboy boots. Mr. T could have some big boots on as well, so maybe it comes close to balancing out. Greg looks around 5'10" to 5'11

Hogan was at best about the same height as Fralic because Fralic was at MOST 1 inch shorter than Studd, while Hogan was at LEAST 1 inch shorter than Studd. My head say's Fralic was .25 to 3/8 inch taller but it's possible that Hogan was the same height.

Legit sizes for Hogan and Studd 1984: Hogan 6'5.25 302 Studd 6'6.5 325 Fralic 6'5.5 280.

Fralic isn't 6'5.5. He was listed as 6'5 and he's been referred to as 6'4.5 aswell, so 6'5, might even be a round-up. If he was 6'5.5 he would've been listed as 6'6. Studd looked only an inch taller than him so he's about 6'5.5-6'6. If you think he was 1-2 inch taller than Hogan, than that just doesn't look good for Hogan, as it would mean he's shorter than Fralic.
I couldn't see much height difference between the two, and we still haven't seen a decent comparison between the two yet. A clear standoff in the middle of the ring would be interesting to see.

Sorry, but I see closer to 2" height difference between Fralic and Studd, pegging Studd at 6'6.5"-6'7". Remember, Hogan was taller than 6'5"+ Hilbilly Jim during those days (1985-1989).

everyone thinks they know all there is to know about someone elses height.why is that?.1st of all..there is more to a persons height than what you are looking at.researchers of the human body has proven in double blind studies that a person is approximately 1/2'' taller in the morning when they wake up than they are when they get home at night from work..our bones are not rock solid people..they are actually a slight bit spongy and they compact as more weight is put on them from our bodies especially if we work physically demanding jobs.as for estimating someones height, keep the previously mentioned things about how we get shorter as the day goes along in mind.also, when you estimate someones height, what type of surface are they standing on.does it compact when weight is on it?.is the ground level where you are standing as compared to where they are standing? i am a shade under 6'2'' myself.and there has been times when i thought i was taller or almost taller than someone when standing in one place.but in another place, they were 3 or 4 inches taller than me.hogan is a heavier man than most of us who is talking about his height.any one of us can buy the same shoes as hogan and we would more than likely have nearly a half inch height advantage on him if we were the same height with shoes off than with the same shoes on.thats because his weight is pressuring him down in his shoes more than our weight is.in his prime, hogan did indeed stand at 6'7'' tall..i have never met him personally..but have family members that have and has taken pictures with him.i have a brother who worked for the Air Force and met hogan in the airport and took a pic with him.my brother is 6'1'' exactly, and he had on military work boots which anyone knows will add 2 inches to your natural height.so he appeared at 6'3'' in the pic.and hogan was still at least 4 inches taller than him and he had on what seemed to be running shoes.and this was in 1992 before hogan had any of the height reducing surgeries.also, when hogan faced the rock who is 6'3.5'' tall in 2002 at wrestlemania,it was part of the plot and was staged to appear that the rock and hogan were about the same height.but look at the rocks posture and look at hogans posture.i viewed it time and time again to be sure what i was looking at was correct.hogan actually slumped somewhat as the rock stood as erect as possible whenever they were face to face.and guess what, hogan still was slightly taller.for reference,go back and look at it again and again if you need to.the thing about it is,is that hogans head is so large compared to the normal guys head, that he will be taller in most cases.that brings me to the next guy andre the giant.his features were so exagerrated, large and crazy that he could pass for 8 feet if you did not know what you were looking at.from chin to the top of the cranium, the average guys head is 10'' or 11'' tall..well hulk hogans cranium is about 13'' tall...but andre's cranium was about 19'' tall.hard to believe but true.john studd was a legitimate 6'8'' tall..andre was a legitimate 7'2'' tall no matter what the "experts" say.the only known time andre's height was measured was way back in the very early 70's when he was 6'10'' tall..but unlike guys today..andre kept growing...thats what most people dont understand about andre's height.the guy kept growing throughout his 46 year life.he never stopped.the disease he had where his pituritary gland constantly gave off growth secretions and hormones caused him to grow and grow.he continued to grow taller after his only known height measurement of about 1972 or 73 until he was more than 7 feet tall.at around 1981,his height had become slower to develop so he started to morph out in other ways.his head already being very large grew even larger and larger still.his weight went throught the roof 677 pounds as far as i know at it's peak.he became so large that his back could not support his height and weight which is why from the early 80's until he died he slumped over as he walked or even as he stood still.he constantly had to hold on to something to support himself which is why you always saw him holding on to bobby the brain heenan's shoulder as they walked to the ring when he was managing him.he also started to wear a support brace around his mid section in the late 80's.but i guess it was too bothersome so he scrapped that idea by 1989.for reference on the back and mid section support, look at wrestlemania 3 as he faced hogan...you can clearly see it there all throughout the match..it also made him a bit smaller around the middle too..but i am wondering why no 1 has shown the footage that i am waiting to see that clear as day shows andre's height when and if he could stand strait up without his back giving him fits.i am speaking of the story line when in 1991,jimmy hart was trying to recruit andre's services and team him up with the earthquake.and when andre came down to the ring and struggled to get himself up on the ring apron and pull himself up and into the ring.he stepped over the top rope with ease as only he could and he stood across from the earthquake about 6 feet away.earthquake, who stood 6'6'' tall at that time, himself was amazed at the size of andre.i can still remember it as clear as day as andre stood up strait, which in itself was a rare thing since his back literally prohibited him from doing that, and flat out dwarfed the earthquake.andre was standing seemimgly 9 or 10 inches taller than the earthquake and made him look like a little fat boy standing in the ring with a man.it was a sight no one who ever seen it could ever forget.that footage alone would silence all the "height experts" that swear they know how tall andre was.they would simply start to rethink their findings after seeing that footage alone!!

Wrestling lover, I was having the same height opinion as you once. I also thought that Hogan had to be around 197cm (6'5 1/2") or almost 6'6" in his prime. After I saw several wrestling videos where Hogan was fighting Sylvester Stallone in one match (I guess in a film), Hogan appeared to be gigantic. He really looked like a giant, so I don't think that he was just 6'6" in his prime. Hogan used to be something around 6'7 1/2".

You're referring to the movie Rocky III and Hogan had to look gigantic there, because he was supposed to be this giant wrestler (nearly 7 feet).
With camera angles they can do a lot in movies. There's no way he was 6'7.5 as the Ben Davidson pic clearly shows Hogan to be around 2 inches shorter than a guy who's 6'8 or close to it.

honestly in every grade I was the tallest kid, when I was constantly teased about my unusual height I went too far once and I threw a kid against the wall and got suspended. I was about a foot taller than my average senior classmates. Example, in 1987 I was 7, in second grade , and already I was 5 ft. tall. On the school bus I had to show my birth certificate because the driver thought I was too big and too old. My brother was also 5 feet tall on his seventh birthday in 1985. We were big second graders indeed.

And also the height estimation from Anonymous that Hogan is 6'5" today is an overestimated nonsense. Hogan is nothing above 6'4" nowadays. He has exactly the same height as Lou Ferrigno. And keep in mind, Hogan may be just a half inch taller than The Rock who claimed his height as 6'4" too.

if greg has a small 9 inches head then hogan has a big 12 which seems to be right. (10 is average) Then, hogan is nothing less than 8 inches taller than greg

You're of course not the real Ola! It's impersonator's such as you, we really don't need around here. You're polluting the board by trying to impersonate someone else.

I thought an average head is supposed to be 1/8 the size of your total body length. A 6' person would therefor have a 9" head. A 10" head would be average for someone who's 6'8. A 6'4 guy would have a 9.5" head.
The anatomy of people is however not the same, so for taller people this calculation is flawed. Most 7 foot people have longer limps, so the size of their heads are probably not 1/8 the size of their total body length. Not many 7 footers have a 12 inch head.

Big King, the reason why Hogan was described as 6'8 in many websites is because he was billed as such in wrestling. Here's a picture of Hogan standing next to Ben Davidson who was listed as 6'8 while playing football for the Oakland Raiders. Davidson isn't even standing straight, but is still about an inch taller than Hogan.

If Hogan has a normal 9" head, which he probably has a slightly bigger head than that,he has 6" on a Greg. The top of Greg's head, not his hair, comes to the tip of Hogan's nose. That being said from the tip of Hogans nose the the bottom of his chin is about 2.5 to 3". That leaves a strong 6" to the top of his head making him 6" at least taller than Greg.

In this pic Arnold is closer to the camera and again he's leaning a bit.

If you want to compare these two together you need better pics than those two. Show me a pic where they're standing side by side when they both have good posture.
There's also a pic where Graham doesn't have good posture and stands next to 5'6-5'7 Kevin Sullivan barely looking taller (Just to give you an idea what bad posture and camera angle can have an effect on people's height).

I hope you're not referring to those 2 Hogan pics. The one where they're both posing was taken in 1987 (as the text below the pic states), so this was after Graham's 1st hip surgery. The other one was probably taken in 1988 at the end of Graham's last stint in the WWE (the text below states the pic was taken a dozen years after Hogan and Graham first met in 1976).
In the 2nd pic Graham has a very wide stance and Hogan is wearing cowboy boots, thus creating the illusion that Graham is much shorter than Hogan.

TELLEM i only stated that he was billed to 6'0, for example bret hart was also billed to 6ft (sometimes 6'1) but was more likely 5'11. so skinner was nothing more than 5'11. YOU'RE the one who should prove his 4-5 inches height loss but you cant do it couse its a myth

proof? he said it on national television on cnn last summer (2007) that he lost 4 inches...i ain't gonna look it up...i know height loss exists...why don't you do that since you seem ignorant...and desperate

Danimal, keep dreaming. If Hogan would loose at least five inches then he would be 6'1" nowadays and that's not the case because he has about the same height as David Hasselhoff who is 6'4". Hogan was even not a full 6'6" in my opinion. Hogan looked more 197cm in his prime.

have u seen the pics of hogan and antonio inoki from the early 80's to now? because there is a HUGE height difference from both pictures

are these backstage segments? if so...you can't see their footwear and backstage segments are tricky

These segments were shot in a WWE cafetaria, so the ground is level there. As for footwear, you can only spot Vince's footwear in a flash, but that's enough to see he's wearing black dressing shoes. I'm not sure what Graham was wearing, but I believe it were common sneakers. I doubt he would be wearing something like cowboy boots as he had a hard time walking as it is.

Here's a pic of him from the late 70's together with Steve Keirn. Not sure how tall Keirn is, but he has to be around 6'1-6'2 for Graham to be 6'3-6'4. Click Here

In 2003 he was still a good 6'1. He looked the exact same height as Vince.

skinner was billed to 6'0 and 215 lbs. his real heigh was ofcourse way shorter probarly 5'10 or tops 5'11 thats makes billy graham nothing more than 6'0-6'1 in that pic. 6'1 peak and around 6'0 today sounds good... there we have the 1 inch lost. not the 4-5 which some ppl claims - i rest my case!

whats your proof of skinner being under 6'0 though? theres been wrestlers that were either under billed or billed the same as their height...

I bought the Hulk lifesize cardboard cutout, it's supposedly 6'5 but when I got it it was 6'3. The proportions all add up so it seems fairly plausible, he's bending his knees almost losing 2 inches. But he's also wearing shoes in the pic so subtract an inch from that and we have 6'4.
I'm not saying these cardboard cutouts are 100% accurate but with the proportions adding up it at least seems to be in line with these estimates.
I have a picture with Hogan standing next to one of these cardboard figures and they're the same height (he's mimicing the stance) so I'd say 6'3-6'4 without the shoes is spot on.
Funny, I always imagined Hogan as a huge man and now he's about my height lol and I don't consider myself to be that big. Oh well, so what if the mythic figures from childhood become a little demystified, he's still the Hulk ;)
Oh yeah brother :)

TELLEM, it doesn't matter what Billy Graham said. He has hardly any evidences for that and the fact that Hogan wasn't 6'7" is clear enough. Hogan's height was 6'5 1/2" in his prime and Lou Ferrigno was 6'5". Nowadays, Lou and Hogan are around 6'4".

Excuse me? You are a NEWBIE to this site kid. Back in the day I provided many pics of Billy Graham PRE-surgeries and POST-surgeries. You can even go on his very own website and look at his own comparison pics. He has indeed lost about 5" (if not more) and cannot walk today without the aid of a walker. He has artificial ankles, knees, hips and much much much more. The man used to stand 6'3"-6'4" and is well below 6'0" today.

The irony is that Hogan looked so tall and healthy next to him in the 1980's and today, Hogan is going the same route as Billy. Massive qauntities of steroid use had a lot to do with it by the way (according to Billy at least).

There was maybe an inch difference between them.

Interesting size comparison between Hulk and Vince from 1990. I think Hulk's left arm was bigger than Vince's head. And forget about the cowboy boots advantage. I doubt they gave more than an inch over Vince's dress shoes.

Now just compare that height difference of the two of them from 1990 compared to their face off in 2003. Hogan has about 4-5" on Vince here and in 2003, he appears to be fractionally taller than Vince. Also imagine a prime Hogan again Lesnar, HHH, The Rock, Stone Cold, etc... These are all guys he was barely taller than in 2002-2003. In his prime he would have towered them all the way he towered Vince in this video.
I found this staredown from Smackdown January 2003. Hogan still looks pretty tall there next to Vince. I'd say an easy 2-3 inches and Hogan is not even standing straight.

Hogan HAD 22" biceps then, which is still VERY impressive. When he lost all that weight in 1992-1995 his arms had shrunk, but today are back up to 20", which is still very impressive for a 55 year old man who has had more surgeries than I would like to think about.

BTW Chaz, Gary Taylor (6'0" and around 285-295 pounds) was said to have 22" upper arms in 1992 (WSM held in Iceland). Magnus Ver Magnuson who was 6'2"-6'3" and weighed around 285-290 pounds was said to have 21" upper arms. Hogan was definitely bigger than that in his prime, SO, 22" is VERY believable at over 300 pounds and minimum 6'5".

Hogan wasnt just big for a guy walking the street, he was big for a wrestler, 6'5 and 320 lbs.

i know a few guys who are 6'5 and 265lbs and they dont look anywhere near as big as hogan in his prime..

20lbs on a 6'5 guy doesnt show like it does on a 6'2 guy.

Lesnar is I think 265 in the UFC, and this is after cutting down weight from his pro wrestling days. There's no way he would be 246 at that size. That would be not much more than my weight, which is absurd. He's proabably about 280-290.

actually lesnar is struggling big time to cut down to 265lb for his ufc fights and joe rogan has mentioned this a few times; in recent interviews lesnar says he weighs 277lb when not fighting, lesnar fought at 285lb in college
Steve said on 8/Sep/08
Big show you can say its a work, but a tape measure doesn't lie. Its not remarkable that they are exactly 24 inches, a lot of body builders/weight lifters know their exact measurements of arms, thighs, calves, waist etc. Thats the only thing Hogan did have to market himself, he didnt have massive thighs or big lats....he had big arms, and i believe he had at least 23.5 inch arms peak. You look at some other videos of hogan in various talk shows in the 1980s, his arms look HUGE when he isnt flexing, they look the size of most of the talk shows hosts! But not a lot of definition.

Remarkable is that if it is true that Hogan was 6'7" in his prime then he couldn't be almost 6'4" today. Due to the surgeries it is impossible that a human looses almost four inches. Hogan's height must be around 6'5 1/2" in his prime and 6'4" today. Beside Greg, Hogan appears to be 7 inches taller because he's standing in front of Greg and if one guy stands in front of another guy, then he appears to be taller. If Hulk and Greg would stand beside, I'm sure that there would be only 5 inches difference.

Both Magnus and Hulk have similar arms, hulks look like they are more defined, but not my much. Both have a quite a lot of fat on their arms COMPARED to bodybuilders such as Lou or Ronnie etc. Magnus's arms were measured in his training video 'worlds strongest arms' at around 60cm which is 23.5 inches or so.

Anyone that knows anything about weight training, bodybuilding etc would not estimate hogan to be 270lbs peak especially being a huge 6'5 guy.

According to various bodybuilding magazines which I have in my collection, Ronnie Coleman had arms of 60 cm (23.6").
Coleman is only 5'10 and Hogan was 6'5+, so even if they had the same arm size, Coleman's arms would appear larger, because he's shorter.

Ola says on 8/Sep/08
This is lou at age of around 40 and around 320 lbs: Click Here
THATS a legit 23 inch arm right there.... and if Atoadaso says ronnie coleman didnt even have 23, how in the heck can hogan have 22 then?! imo hogan wouldnt even have had over 15. but lets be logical, if Lou had 22-23 then hogan maybe had 19-20 or so.

15" arms for Hogan? You accuse Red of not understanding anything on weight. Well you my friend haven't got a clue what you're talking about when it comes to arm sizes. You probably have 10" arms yourself to think Hogan had 15" arms. Those were the size of my arms when I was a fanatic weight lifter from 2002-2005 (they measured 15" in early 2005). Nowadays I don't work out much, but my arms are still 14.25" (and that's a cold measurement). At his peak Hogan had about 5 inches on me in height, 100+ lbs in weight. He was on the juice and probably trained harder than me and was on a better diet than I was. Plus Hogan is a mesomorp and I'm an ectomorph. If Hogan had only 15" arms, that would mean my arms would be bigger than The Rock's arms. Yeah right!
Like I said yesterday. Watch the video where Hogan's arms were measured at 20 inches. If you want to be a hypocrite and ignore that evidence, than I'm not even going to try to take you serious anymore.

Hogan's arms are not that much smaller (if any) than Lou's arms.

Atoadaso said on 7/Sep/08
Not even close to 20" arms in his peak? That is a crazy statement. Ferrigno never had 23" arms either, that is something that mass monster such as Ronnie Coleman never even had, because body builders operate at a much higher body fat than wrestlers do, such as Hulk Hogan. When you're as cut as they are, your arms will actually LOSE size than from when they are off-season, which is more comparable to how a prime Hogan's physique would be. Hogan even today probably has a weak 20" arm and in his prime, i'd guess him to be maybe 21.5"...

Olatroll, Hogan had at least 22" arms at peak !!

Rob, if this guy is 6ft 0.5 in the picture , how the hell can Hogan be only 6' 6"? There's virtually 7 inch difference! Either Greg's height was given in shoes or Hogan was really 6ft 7 as he stated. Maybe time for a review or upgrade!

Ola,

So you say Rachel Ray lied?

Actually, I've read that Hogan got his nick name "Hulk" when he appeared in a talk show in which Ferringo was a guest and the host noted that this guy actually dwarfed the Hulk himself. I haven't actually seen the show, but it doesn't sound likely that somebody just made that up.

I'm no expert on Ferrigno, but weren't he and Hogan relatively close in size, both height and weight? I dont' see how either one would "dwarf" the other really. Hogan was probably a little bigger which must have impressed the host, but I wouldn't say a 6'4 285 lbs guy is dwarfed by a 6'5 295 lbs guy (I'm not saying those were their heights and weights, I just picked some close numbers.)
Big King said on 7/Sep/08
I never think that Hogan's height was having something to do with 6'7" in his prime. His peak height looked more 6'5 1/2". Today he's a weak 6'4" just like The Rock. Even Hasselhoff looks taller than Hogan.

how in the heck can hogan have 20 inch arms today when he didnt even have close to 20 in his peak? stop calling me by names danimal that only makes you sound so desperate... actually lou ferrigno had legit 23 inches arms and he would have dwarf hogan totaly at any time - at any day! compare him to lou, and iam sure that hogans arms wasnt even 20 inches

The video doesn't lie Ola, so why don't you just admit you're wrong! His arms were measured at 20 inches, and both parties (Hogan and the TV-hostess) gain nothing by fakin' this measurement. On WWE tv Hogan still referred to his arms as 24 inch pythons, so if he wanted to fake a measurement, they'd probably measure up closer to that 24" figure.

how heavy ola???? 320? 1979??
Ben said on 7/Sep/08
Ola, hogan was bigger in the past then he was in 1990, look at his ahpe in rocky 3 compared to survivor series 90.. his body fat percentage was higher by far in 90 and muscle weighs more then fat, even if he looked smaller he weighed more, also taking age into account hogan was probably carrying more muscle a few years earlier.
theres pictures all over the net of a young hogan looking bigger then 1990. also he was anounced in wwf in 1979 at 330lbs.

Hogan was on a talk show with ferrigno and the host commented how hogans arms were bigget then ferrignos, hence the name "hulk" hogan... because he's bigger then the incridible hulk.

Ferrignos arms were leaner so they looked bigger.

Also hogan by his own admission says he only trained to be big and heavy, he didnt care about being ripped.

Theres a thing called VIDEO ola, you should try watching it one day, theres plenty of footage of a late 70's 300lb plus hogan.

Rob, are you going to upload the pic of 6'5" MMA fighter Ben Rothwell and I? If you don't still have it, I can always re-send it to you. I think it's a pretty cool pic for comparison against my 5'9 3/4" and 200 pound frame. THANKS!!

Editor Rob
the bartnett one I will at one point, the Rothwell is all leaning over a table, I have dozens like that myself I don't put up.

Lesnar is I think 265 in the UFC, and this is after cutting down weight from his pro wrestling days. There's no way he would be 246 at that size. That would be not much more than my weight, which is absurd. He's proabably about 280-290.

When he was in the WWE I thought he was in the 275 lbs region (he was billed at 295 lbs). He wasn't very ripped and he was huge. He looked a lot bigger than The Rock and Triple H.

He did weigh in at 265 lbs in his UFC fight with Frank Mir.

Hulk Hogan was recently on a talk show and his arms were legitimately measured at 20" at 55 years old and a LOT SMALLER than he was in the 80's. Ola, eat these words you troll. Click Here

Here's a video from OVW between Lesnar & Batista. They announce Lesnar at only 246 lbs there. Not sure if it's a error from the announcer, but if that's Lesnar's real weight, than he wasn't anywhere close to 285 lbs during his WWE stint.

Hogan was 6'5 and change and would have been a normal 6'6 round up. I put a 1980 Hogan at 6'5 3/8 and maybe about 310. I don't think he was any more than that because he was just in to good of shape, no gut and no fat. If you look at those huge NFL linemen today who are 6'6 & 6'7 and have the big bellies almost hanging out of their shirts and they are still only about 330. If you throw a beer gut on him then he goes up to maybe 330. I think he dropped down to about 300 flat, after he became the champ in 1983 because he then needed to look his best and not just see how much he could weigh.
Atoadaso said on 5/Sep/08
There is also a british morning program in which the host asks Hogan how tall he is, and Hogan replies "I'm 6'7". I believe he was billed at 6'8" at this time in WWF, so Hogan may have been a legit 6'6" in those days and inflating his height as most men do. Although in my view he was never quite 6'6", but close...
Anonymous said on 5/Sep/08
Hogan was no way taller than 6'5 peak. Fralic was almost the exact same height as John Studd and Fralic was put at 6'5 his entire College and NFL carear. in order to be any amount taller than Fralic, Hogan would have actually had to be a hair taller than Studd which he was NOT! In Hogan's matches with Studd he was always at LEAST 1 or 2 inches shorter which would make Hogan the same height as Fralic at the very best. The only way Hogan could even be maybe 6'5.25 would be if Fralic was 6'5.5 or 6'5.75.

To my knowledge Hogan never said he was 6ft 6 i believe he use to say he was 6ft 7...There was an interview with Vince Mcmahon and he said when he first met Hogan he said he was about 6ft 6 and 300 lbs
Big King said on 4/Sep/08
Rob, why do you think that Hogan was 6'6" in his heydays? Did he say it? Although he's 6'4" now, I still think that Hogan's height had something to do with 6'6" and 6'7".
Big King said on 4/Sep/08
Hogan looks almost 6'4", yeah.

Its hard to judge hogans height and weight, he looks so out of proportion with short legs, normal body and large head, if you see pics of him standing by himself he looks loke a stocky 5'10 guy (which he isnt) its only when you see him in films like suburban commando or on talk shows around normal people you see how huge he is.
Im a gym instructor and i see people every day who astound me with weight, guys who weigh 260lbs and dont look big, i also take peoples heights daily and its not until you see yourself next to someone in a mirror that you can truly judge height, even standing face to face its not easy.

I have no trouble believing that hogan was 6'6 and between 330 and 350 at his biggest.

NO, just NO. Hogan would have been the exact same height and would have been the same size as Magnus.

Hogan was a tall man but he was not over a legit barefoot 6'5.5 He was always in the big boots back in 70's and 80's which got him about 6'7.75 and back before the information age he could get away with the 6'7-6'8.

with some wrestlers who have been in sports were they have to be weighed, like boxing, weightlifting, powerlifting, olypic wrestling.they cannot get away with saying much more than there are, Mark Henry has weighed around the 400lbs mark, lots of times in powerlifting and weightlifting, and he's allso gone down to the 350lbs mark to,so with weight there is a lot of flucktuation, and the bigger and taller you are the more flucktuation there is. I only have to be off my food for a week and I lose 7lbs,and I'm only 210lbs,like ive said befor if a 6'2.5''Bill Kazmaier can carry 335-50lbs I,m sure a 6'5'5''Hogan can carry 310lbs,and befor anyone says it ,know,i'm not saying Hogan was enywhere nere as strong,
