A guy with good proportions defo looks well shorter than a lanky , skinny one . Almost every very tall guy on this site with good proportions and shape aka ( Joe , Derek Theler , McPartlin , Webster , Hopper , Brock O'hurn) looks nowhere as tall as someone like Bo Burnham , Howard Stern ,Kobe , Tom Noonan . If someone wants to looks taller , losing weight could be a good start .

@Canson
I just posted that pic to show how Hopper can look shorter than Joe , but I still give him the edge based on Rob's comments . But they both may be under 6'5 . Joe around 6'4.75 ( 5/8 at worst ) and Tom maybe 6'4 7/8 . It's kind creepy talking about eighths but to consensus , them both have every right to claim 6'5
Canson said on 15/Dec/18
@Jdubbz: to be fair, I can agree with some of Sotiris’s estimates here.
6’4.5 for Mangianello (Rob alluded to him being 6’4.5-6’5 around lunch time or mid day) also Max a poster said he had Joe by 1” and that he’s 6’5.5
I agree with what 184guy said below. Hopper is more like 195cm than a full 6’5”. I have maybe a 1/4” difference between he and Mangianello.
Blake 6’7.75 is best case imho
Kevin Love 6’7.25
Kobe I agree with Rob’s listing for him 6’4.75
But I don’t agree with Taker being only 6’5”. I think he’s still 6’6” or at least somewhere probably mid 197 range worst case. He almost never walks with good posture. He looked two inches shorter than Love when I doubt it’s really that much in reality. I’d say probably 3cm or 3.5 tops
Canson said on 15/Dec/18
@Jdubbz: yea I agree with what you said too. Blake is over 3” taller than Nick Young. Even if we are to say that Griffin isn’t nearly as tall as the pre draft states and I do not believe that he is 6’8.5, Young isn’t either. Griffin it shows in the video that Rob posted that he was measured just minutes after waking up. I even showed that in 2008 NBA pre draft camp was In the afternoon and 2009 in the early morning. But either way players can boost the measurement by laying around until the combine begins. I’ve even heard stories both verbally and on the net about players being carried inside just to retain their height and padding socks etc. Not all do that though as some of the players I’ve met are right around their listing while others have discrepancies such as TJ Ford imho. That said, Blake looks a full 2” shorter than Deandre Jordan so I’m not buying a full 6’8” for him. It wouldn’t surprise me if Jordan isn’t even quite 6’9.75 at a low. Maybe 6’9.5. But for Blake Weak 6’8 I believe for sure 6’7.5-6’8”. But I also don’t buy anything close to 6’5” for Young. Young is about a cm or even a half inch shorter than 6’4.75 Kobe Bryant. But because NBA pre drafts don’t include 1/8”. So that 6’5 may have just been 6’4.75 or a mm over maybe and he could just be our height to tell you the truth or within a couple mm taller than we are at best. Either way, I do agree that I’m not seeing how he and Griffin are the same height. And Caron Butler is a legit 6’5” and he’s still noticeably shorter than Blake Griffin
Canson said on 6/Dec/18
@Sotiris: that’s the angle of the picture. A lot of people use pics like that to make others taller or shorter (usually taller). You aren’t doing that and you admitted you get confused. But I can tell because Blake is taller than Caron Butler who is 6’5” in person. If you saw other pics Blake is taller. Blake is only around 2” shorter than DJ maybe a 1/4” more
Jdubbz said on 5/Dec/18
@Sotiris Gravas
What do you mean "they look around the same"? Griffin is clearly taller than Young. Your height lines are flawed since DJ is raising his eye level in the pic with Griffin. He's also lowering his eye level in the Nick Young pic. Compare the top of their heads, not eye levels.
Dream said on 28/Nov/18

@Canson I get very confused when I see pics like this. It's very weird how Blake Griffin can look as tall as 6'5" Nick Young when compared to 6'10" DeAndre Jordan. Look at the height lines I've included:

They look around the same. Did either DeAndre or Nick Young grow taller...?

I guess DeAndre is standing straighter w/ Griffin... but that means Griffin might not even be taller than 6'7.5" IMHO, let alone the 6'8.5" Rob has him at.
Canson said on 27/Nov/18
@Sotiris: I’ve never had Blake any taller than that honestly. I see 6’7.5 at times with Deandre Jordan. I’d say he’s 202 range. As for Kobe and joe I think that’s similar to what 184guy was saying earlier with Barkley and Kobe at peak heights. I give the edge to kobe still. But that there wouldn’t be any noticeable difference. Rob mentioned joe would be 6’4.5-6’5 around midday or lunch so I think 6’4.5 is feasible but there’s no guarantee that Kobe isn’t a mm or so under 6’4.75. Very possible that we wouldn’t be able to see a difference between them. I’ve axtually always advocated Joe being 6’4.5 even years back. I base all mine on your lowest for the day (not an extreme low which is once in a while but also not a lunchtime height either). Early afternoon and late shouldn’t vary much tho only 1/8” approximately. I can measure only mm or two over my normal low if I’ve been heavily active by 5 hours. But not everyone loses height the same way. I happen to lose exactly half inch in the first two hours of being awake if just normal activity. There are things that affect height during the day. One of which is how you sit. If I sit reclined I can add on some height temporarily whereas if I don’t I maintain what I was before sitting.

Canson said on 20/Nov/18
@Rob: very early to the point where he would lose at least another half inch if not a bit more. And that’s if he even measures a full 6’8.5 to begin with (without his hair). That’s “about” how early all athletes are measured these days in football and basketball. Maybe an hour after waking tops. They do it as a result of scientific research that has show players measure taller earlier in the day. See the article below that pertains to Blake griffin’s class. I suspect a lot of the players would also lay down prior to 2009 if it were afternoon as well as stretching to preserve height. Suffice to say that some players are very very close to an out of bed measurement when they actually get measured. I guess if that were the standard for everyone then it would be more acceptable but when someone is 1/2 or even 3/4” shorter in the evening than the morning, I would assume that the person is claiming their shoes to be honest. Hence you see Danny Green measures 3/4” taller in 2009 than 2008 while the other two are half inch more. Maybe the 3/4” was a result of being somewhere in the middle and being rounded up or having grown 1/4”
Editor Rob
All depends just how much sleep and how long they have been up, but another half inch is reasonable, especially for guys over 6ft 5.
Canson said on 18/Nov/18
@Rob: not saying it wasn’t reasonable. But someone his size measuring that close to when he woke up (keep in mind the Brillo pad hair he has) chances are that he’s not that tall at his low. They measured him not even an hour after waking. All I was saying is that it’s possible that he was under 6’8.5 which is very possible since they don’t do 1/8”. And that he may be more like 6’7.75 at a low or 6’7.5-6’8. I know from measuring myself around an hour after waking I can lose up to 1/2” more some days others 3/8” by the afternoon or evening
Canson said on 17/Nov/18
Rob you said it right. Griffin never looks 6’8.5. He likely is only around 6’8 probably a weak 6’8”. Jordan has 2” on him minimum. The 6’8.5 is not long after waking and we don’t know if it wasn’t really 6’8 3/8 or something closer to 1/4
Editor Rob
From the video diary Blake did, it sounded like a reasonably early measurement.

Only 6’4.75?! Rob this guy was towering over Channing Tatum who’s supposed to 6’0.5” over a solid 4.5 maybe even 5 inches. With Kevin Nash he looks like he’s 6’6” and with Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson who you listed at 6’3”, he looks a solid 1.5-2 inches taller than him. He also looks an inch taller than Conan O’Brien. He also looks a half inch taller than 6’4.5” Alexander Skarsgard. The only instance where I see him as tall as your listing is with Peyton Manning who’s supposed to be 6’5.5”.
Zampo said on 24/Oct/18

Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 22/Oct/18

Hair doesn't count as height. Even his hair's not touching the 6'6" line, while Rob's hair easily clears 5'8". His eyelevel's bang on 6'0" and he seems to have about a 4.7" eyelevel. And since he has 1/4" more footwear, subtract that and you get 6'4.5"
184guy2 said on 22/Oct/18
@Caaq
Actually Rob is 1inch over Joe's chin , 1.25 considering the footwear advantage . Joe's head is about 10inch long so Joe looks 6'4.75 but Rob is 1/8inch over 5'8 so in the top pic Joe is like 6'4 7/8
Caaq said on 21/Oct/18
Joe in the main picture has a 10 inch difference with Editor Rob, is what i thought. Then saw the line, and saw editor rob's head just clearing 5'8" mark, and joe's scraping 6'6". That is 10 inches and it was nice to see my guess proven right. Now i think editor rob could stand straighter and gain half an inch. Also joe was said to have 0.25 inch footwear advantage. So that adjustment brings the difference to about 9 inches. So if editor Rob is 5'8", then i see no reason why joe wouldnt be given 6'5".
Canson said on 19/Oct/18
@184guy: true. I would have him taller than Strahan or Heyward as well being he likely measures 6’4.5 in the afternoon as opposed to 6’4 5/8 an hour out of bed like Heyward would. Combine measurements are done very early in the morning. So Heyward’s low is likely 6’4.25 or 6’4 1/8 considering 3/8-1/2 difference from combines to senior bowl measurements. Strahan not sure on because his occurred in the 90s (meaning don’t know if they measured as early then) but he looks max 6’4 with Kobe who is 6’4.75. Possible if were held that early that he’s also a sub 6’4 by a touch (6’3 7/8) but that’s the lowest I would give him. He and Ben would be close being Ben was also measured in the morning. However Ben looks 195 to me. Worst case I give Ben is 6’4.5 at a low
Canson said on 19/Oct/18
@Rob: I guess depending on when he wakes up. That said I think 6’4.5 is his low as well which makes sense if he’s 6’4.5-6’5 at lunch time

Cam Heyward measured 6’4 5/8 morning height (at the combine). Likely he’s 6’4 1/8 or 6’4 1/4 at a low. I would estimate Joe anywhere 194 range but likely around 6’4.5 at a low. Essentially, Rob is close. He’s at best a weak 6’5 or very very strong 6’4 (6’4 3/8). 6’4.5 is prob the better listing as a if he appears 6’4.75 to Rob means he’s likely 6’4 1/2. Nobody can see a 1/4” difference that easily. A 6’4.75 guy at a low will still look 6’5 in most cases

It's a reasonable listing, I can see him measuring the listed height at about lunchtime. So he may likely drop some mm. So at a low maybe 6'4 1/2 to 6'4 5/8 range. Maybe I would edge towards 6'4.5 as the defining question is "would Joe measure 6'4.75 in the afternoon on a typical day?". I couldn't confidently say yes to this question.

Canson said on 7/Sep/18
@184guy and Junior: I would have Ben edging him. As far as Ben, he actually looks a legit 195cm guy even though 6’4 7/8 morning. Maybe that isn’t his combine measurement and is a pro day or something else. He looks taller than Eli and Eli was 6’4.75 (likely in the AM). Eli is prob my height or maybe like 1/8 taller. He may be a full 194cm whereas I’m 6’4.25-.3. I would say, based on Rob meeting him and Max meeting him, that Joe is likely somewhere around 6’4.5. Max said below he’s 6’5.5 evening and had an inch. Rob pegged him 6’5 and dropped him to 6’4.75 finally meaning Joe could still dip to 6’4.5. Worst case I could see is 194cm flat but I don’t see below that. 6’4.5 is prob better listing than either of those two. It’s odd because he doesn’t look as tall as Kobe or Barkley or Jordan yet he is prob jordan’s height. Maybe just doesn’t have the proportions that he has
Only other explanation is that Ben and Eli are both morning and Eli is really only 6’4 and Ben 6’4.5 at a low because Eli is an inch shorter than Peyton at times

@Junior and Norman: I’m still unsure on Manning’s height. At times he looks the full 6’5.25 at a low which makes me wonder is that really a morning measurement? He measured all the way back in 1998. I don’t know if it’s always been that way or if it’s changed in the early 2000s. A friend of mine went to the combine in 2001 and measured 6’5 3/8. I haven’t talked to him in years but I do remember his claim being 6’4 7/8 so that could explain why. Other variables are that he’s had 4 neck surgeries. In addition, he’s shorter than JJ Watt but I still wonder about him as well. The combine measurements based on comparisons Viper and I have both shown are typically 3/8-1/2” higher than an afternoon measurement and I’ve see several references to it being “approximately” an hour or so out of bed. Now that said, Watt really does look a strong 6’5” guy but it could also be that the others are overlisted that he’s compared to. I would say that Manning can even look 195-195.5 today.

I can easily get away with claiming 6'6" but I don't do it because personally I feel it's not the most honest answer, although technically I wouldn't be lying because out of bed I clear it. I used to claim it a long time ago, especially before becoming "height aware" and posting on CH. The most I wanna claim nowadays is 6'5.5"
Canson said on 29/May/18
@Dream: there are some even that will claim 6’8” from 6’6”. I ran into a guy one day at a gas station of all places that I could visibly look at and tell he was no more than 2” taller than me. He looked very similar with my 6’6” flat friend and not as tall as my 6’7” friend and I heard him tell someone who inquired about his height that he was 6’8??? I just looked and laughed. The lady also asked how tall I was and I told her “about 6’4”. Another guy in line near me was about 6’2” and looked at him when I walked past and said that there was no way he was 6’8”. This was an honest 6’2” who may have even been a strong 6’2, a hair over like I am a hair over 6’4” at a low. As for someone Christian’s size or Christian himself, he is like I am in that he wakes up “nearly 1/8” over” the next inch and comes down to 6’5 3/8 or 6’5 1/4. So he could easily measure 6’5.5-.75 range even a couple or a few hours after waking and claim 6’6”. I appear to lose height faster than Christian does however. I’m down to 6’4 5/8 after 2 hours and 6’4.5 after about 3 or a hair over 3 hours. I guess there is no harm in a 6’6 claim for him but it’s the same for me I don’t see a benefit that 6’5” gives me that I don’t get at 6’4”. All I would be doing is rounding up my height or claiming higher just to accommodate those who want to claim taller. It wouldn’t be on my own volition. I can’t speak for Christian but that’s at least how I feel.

If you see several of his own, new, and old videos, you would notice that Bo has to duck under multiple doorways.)
@Canson
True, I shouldn’t have said that ‘most.’ It would’ve cleared up the confusion.
@Christian
I would say some guys at 6’5”-6’5.25” could get mistakened at 6’6” or even 6’7”—the latter is a bit too much of an inflation. Same genuine strong 6’5” guys like you, @Christian (6’5.375”), ‘could’ easily claim 6’6” since you would measure at least 6’6” in the morning.
Canson said on 26/May/18

I also have a friend who is exactly an inch taller than me at 6’5.25 at a low that is guessed 6’6” all the time. He never even says 6’5 and change to anyone just 6’5”.

Does your friend ever get called out on it? It's easier for a very short or very tall guy to get away with inflating, but harder for average range guys since more guys are 5'10.5" so there's a higher chance for him to get called out.

@Dream: I’m mixed on that. Some guys my size, strong 6’4 or maybe 6’4 1/2, do claim 6’6. A lot claim 6’5 but then again a lot of guys who get down to 6’4 1/4-1/3 or even 1/2 regularly may just claim 6’4. Me personally, I think 6’4” is a great height and I think 6’5 is a good height but 6’6” is too tall. Not just on paper but in reality which is why I never claimed it even when I was listed that way when I played ball. I did claim 6’5” before but only because I was told I was 6’4.5 when I played ball whereas I find myself measuring 6’4.25 many days at a low 6’4 1/3 tops on other days

At one point is Joe is definitely not as tall as Kobe so that is no way he is 6'4.75" at his low. 6'4.5" would be the truth.

SO 6'4" to 6'4.25 HOWEVER The bottom left pic looks like he is standing better, so I would currently put guy anywhere between 6'4 ( Min) and 6'4.75 ( Max). I am more included to put him at 6'4.25".

@Jordan87: I said the same thing to him. He wishes he were 195 actually but that’s still about 6’5”. If I were to choose especially being where I fall I would choose his height. He comes down a fraction under 6’4” which isn’t bad either since he will look 6’4” more often than not and not be told he’s taller. I’m about a cm taller than him myself (weak 194) and would actually say he’s the better height of the two especially since we aren’t measuring our being with being pro athletes. I say what I do because he can still be around a decent 6’5” in sneaks whereas I get up close to 197 range in boots or Jordan’s and an 198 in those types of shoes early in the day (wake up at 6’5) and dip to high 193 range
Canson said on 5/Jan/18
@Christian: I agree. I think if 1/4-1/3 like I am then rounding down is ok. I think 1/4-1/2 rounding down is ok too really. 3/8-5/8 should be half. But you’re right the rounding excessively throws everyone off. Just like Jason and Thereel have both said. Thereel said it well that a 6’2,75 guy claiming 6’3” will make him almost 3” taller when in reality he’s only 1/3” above 6’5”. He could round to half if he wanted but I don’t see a purpose in doing that imho. He’s tall enough. I think someone your size or his has every right to round down to 6’5 just as someone my size has the same right to round down to 6’4”. It’s usually people wanting to be taller like a guy who i know is lucky if he’s 6’3” claims 6’3.75. He honestly makes 6’4 loom terrible then inflated everyone else. But even if that were someone who legitimately measured 6’3.75 in the morning he would be maybe an hour after waking he’d be 6’3.25 and still claim 6’3.75 I’m sure. That forces everyone else to have to round up or lie up
Alex 6'3 said on 5/Jan/18
Canson, most of all I used Jenny as landmark, knowing that she is 172 cm, a little bit shorter than Rob. So, anything from a strong 193 to 194 cm is right for Joe, but I can't see him 195 cm as average height for him but as maximum height (out of bed). Joe could be:
195-195.7 cm morning
193.7-194.3 afternoon (like in the photo)
193.3-193.9 evening
So, 194 cm is right for him.
Christian-6'5 3/8 said on 5/Jan/18

Yeah, I wish more people who're in the 1/4"-5'8" range would just claim half instead of rounding up to the next inch. I claim 6'5.5" but I don't get told by people to just round up as often as you do apparently. Maybe once every now and then but not on a regular basis.
Canson said on 4/Jan/18
@Alex: I definitely see your logic because in the height chart he doesn’t appear to reach 6’5” unless you count his hair. Rob had him at 6’5 even after he met him but he looks 195cm with the hair and even less once you factor in the 1/4” footwear. 193-194 could be as high as 6’4.25 potentially. I’d probably have to go with a solid 194cm (6’4 3/8) as a low for him or perhaps my common estimate of 6’4 1/2 (194.3cm).
Canson said on 4/Jan/18
@Jason: I think you’re perfect height for a very tall guy. Hitting right around 193 is a very good height in that you will remain below 6’5” in most shoes unless maybe in a pair of regular boots or Jordan’s where you may hit around 6’5 1/8. Nothing wrong with 195 or 6’5” as those aren’t bad. Actually are good still for a very tall as it’s the most one could really be before serious problems but if not a pro athlete where you need the height it can become bothersome I’m sure. I only say this because I’m a tiny tiny hair over 6’5” out of bed and I’ve thrown steel toed boots on before and been 2m in them. Christian for example is an inch taller than me at 6’5” and a little bit but he’s also said when he throws boots on he’s near 6’7” at times and still solid 6’6” in a casual shoe. Not completely unmanageable at 6’6” in shoes but you’re at a stage where you really have that impulse to duck under doorways at times then. I do it almost every morning after a shower I’m still 195 so 198 in dress shoes or Timbs depending on what I wear that day (I’m a Director of Facilities) usually leaving the house and get that impulse sometimes to duck under some doorways in my place or if I walk into another place with a low doorway. Only do it in the afternoon if it’s lower than usual but even then sometimes I do if I’m in a pair of shoes like mentioned where I’m in 197 range still
Canson said on 4/Jan/18
@Christian: I actually agree with you on that. I really do.your logic is very good there! I remember Jason saying the trickiest ranges to claim are 3/8-5/8 zone what they should claim. They imho should say half since both are around that. And you’re right if a 6’4 1/2 at his lowest or 6’3 1/4/-1/2 at his lowest claims 6’5 or 6’4 respectively they will throw things off for me. Meaning if I at 64 1/4-3/8 claim 6’4” they assume I’m 6’5 too. I tell them tho that I’m 6’4-6’4.5 even
caught myself using the 1/4 before. A few are honest back with me and say they’re “almost 6’4” or 6’3.5-.75 or 6’4.5 etc but the ones who don’t I dint say anything back unless they insist I’m 6’5 then I tell them they aren’t legit 6’4 or legit 6’5. But I completely understand what you’re saying too. I used to claim 6’4.5 too tho
and sometimes still do. I only really stopped because I was told “just claim 6’5 or you can claim 6’5” or was told “why do you claim the half or say half, just say you’re 6’4”
I agree with Thereel too. I was only saying in the initial post within 1/2” like 6’3.5-4 people will round it’s fair game to. And to me a 1/4” is very fair but I see Thereel’s point very well and that’s frustrating because he comes down to around where we are and he has every right to claim 6’5” as opposed to having to claim 6’6. A lot of people will tell him or you or me to say you’re 6’6 or I’m 6’5 if we claim half or will by deduction make us that at the expense of someone else rounding but to me if anything we’re in that range so we should really have the right over anything to claim it

Christian-6'5 3/8 said on 3/Jan/18

I see where both you and TheReel are coming from. One thing I don't like about the ft/in system is that one inch is too far apart. If I at 6'5 3/8" claim 6'5" and a 6'4.5" guy rounds up and claims 6'5" as well, that guy would probably guess me to be 6'6", since 7/8" is indistinguishable from a full inch. That's the issue with rounding when it comes to ft/in. It's mathematically correct to round up 6'4.5" to 6'5", but mathematically 6'5 3/8" is also closer to 6'5". This is one of the reasons why I claim 6'5.5" in the public, in order to avoid confusions like these. You often say that claiming half inches is no meaning and just wanting to make oneself taller, but I respectfully disagree. I feel it's often necessary during aforementioned situations. I'd say if you're anywhere between 1/4"-5/8", claiming half is alright.
Jason 193cm said on 2/Jan/18

@Thereel: I’m not disagreeing because I do the same thing. I’m pretty much an inch shorter than you and Christian at 6’4 1/4-3/8 at night and still claim 6’4 even tho I clear 6’5 by a hair out of bed. But I understand your point now. With that much difference someone that height 6’2.75 may claim 6’3 and convince themselves that they’re a full 6’3” if they’re used to claiming it and you may get guessed 6’6” when in reality you’re a strong 6’5”. I can relate because I get the same when I’ve seen a 6’3.75 claim from someone maybe closer to 6’3.5 think I was a full inch taller and tell me I’m 6’5” once. He looked tho only a couple cm shorter so chances are 6’3.5 or 191.5-192cm.

@TheReel: I’d say if they’re within 1/4” it’s fair game really anything over half could be argued but 1/4” is too close to the mark imho. But joe to me is between 194–195 at his lowest
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I just explained in pinpoint detail how 1/4 is too much off a mark. Take me for instance i'm 6'5 3/8th's so lets say there was a 6'2 3/4 guy who claimed 6'3" I would have 9 cm of height (almost 4 inches on him) it would be closer to a 4 than a 3 inch difference I would have on him, yet we would claim only 3 inches apart height difference which wouldn't be accurate since the true difference is closer to 4" than 3", but wait I'm still very much 6'5" since i'm only a cm above that mark and I'm much closer to 6'5" than 6'6" so my 6'5" claim is accurate but the difference between are heights 9cm VS 7.5cm isn't......

@184guy, Personally I am of the opinion that if you aren't a negligible amount under the height (IE a amount too small to measure it) then you shouldn't be claiming that height. Now what qualify's as negligible you say?, well we can all agree that if the difference is too small to know whether you are under said height it would qualify as negligible, a 1/4 isn't negligible at all though as you can track quarter inches even at home with the aerosol can method, if it's 1/8th or 1/32 of a inch under well than yes I would agree that he is "basically 6'5", so a guy like Tom Hopper is a "basically 6'5" guy not Joe, irl if there height ever came up I would say Joe is 6'4 and Tom is about 6'5, as Tom has 1/5th or 1/4 of a inch on Joe making Tom virtually 6'5 if not right bang on the 6'5" 195.58cm mark, Joe is "almost 6'5" yes but he isn't 6'5 or even "about 6'5" for that matter he is "6'4 almost 6'5"" which again is still 6'4". once again "6'4 ALMOST 6'5", he's a significant amount under 6'5" point blank period, ergo I would call him 6'4" if his height ever came up in real life conversations, got it ?

The Guy is at least 6'5.5 out of the bed. He has every right to claim 6'5 and will be an honest claim. Many in his situation would claim 6'6 , yet he claimed his lunch time height.

@ Canson,
Correct this guy is not a full 6'5, anyone who thinks that must think Hair accounts for height.I will give him credit he put on alot of muscle since SPider-man ( 2002 ) where he looked like a doof. Now he has the ladies creaming for him from what I can see. Good for him, its hard to add muscle when you are 6'4 plus.

Well, Deathstroke is canonically 6'5 and he's basically 6'5 himself.
----------------------------------------------------------
I don't think 6'4 3/4 is "basically 6'5", the term "basically" is a much more fitting of someone like Tom hopper who is a eighth below 6'5" at worst. Joe is under 6'5 we all know this by know there is no ambiguity around that fact, so that Doesn't sound like "basically" 6'5" to me.

I don’t see 194.5 an all time low. Max said below that he himself is 6’5.5 at night and that he had Joe by an inch in identical footwear so that implies 194.3 for Joe. So 6’4.5. He could be give or take maybe 3mm meaning an extreme low could easily dip into uppwr 193 range easy

Yeah, Thor posted that snap on his Instagram. Joe looked about 4-4.5-nches shorter than Thor but with the obvious footwear and posture disadvantage. The difference between them would probably be around 3.5-inches with some correction.
Thor looked around 10.5-11-inches taller than Rob.

@Junior: I’m thinking that’s the sort of height Joe really is. I saw the poster max said he had him by about an inch at 6’5.5. My guess for now is he’s a weak 6’5 guy or just a 6’4.5 at his lowest. He may edge me slightly if I stood next to him or it could be a difference that we wouldn’t even notice if he gets down below 6’4.5.
Junior said on 5/Nov/17
@Canson , I supposed this picture should be taken before afternoon maybe roughly 11am in the morning and Rob could have think Joe could measure few hour earlier at 6'5 so a downgrade at 6'4.75" and brought in the evening Joe is probably a strong 6'4.6" nothing up.
Editor Rob
yeah some photos are taken before I hit my low, I believe these were anywhere in 10.30-1pm range...with a guy like Ray Fisher, i'm down at my lowest by afternoon (time of photo) since I've been up since 7am and been working on a stall with Jenny during the event...

Taking into account the 1/4” footwear that puts joe at 194 and the max is prob 6’4.5 (194.3). In the height chart He’s not even a full 6’5 if you don’t count his hair
Canson said on 25/Oct/17
@Junior: that’s a very good estimate for him
Canson said on 21/Oct/17
@Johno: I think “about” 6’4.5 is more the kind of height he would measure. Worst case 194. I doubt he’s much shorter than Barkley is honestly (maybe 1/8-1/4” but nothing noticeable). Now Kobe on the other hand would have him by near a cm
Junior said on 16/Oct/17
Manganiello maybe going to bed at 194.5cm and wake up morning at a full 196.5cm.
Johno said on 11/Oct/17
It is pretty obvious Jenny is standing above the 5'8 point at the help lines and Rob exactly at 5'8; Rob is taller than Jenny which means you need to take account of Rob's posture, there seems to be a 0.5-0.75-inch deficit and add on the 0.25 footwear disadvantage and you need to reduce Joe's advantage by 0.75-1-inches as it appears at first by the picture.
Joe is around 7.5-8-inches taller than Rob in reality, 6'4-6'4.25 would be decent estimate for Joe; a fair median. His morning and evening heights would be higher and lower than these points.
I don't believe Joe would be tall as your Barkleys and Kobes, nor as tall as Lennox Lewis.

I believe Neeson to be in that strong 6'4" range of 194ish in his prime. Today his posture is poor tho. I wonder if he stood straight if he can still measure 6'4 though

I personally believe that Alex Would be very similar tô you . Around 6'4.38 With a low of 6'4.25 I dont think he Would Drop to 6'4 flat , unless with a very bad dehydration or workout. He looks taller for me than a guy like Michael Straham and nowdays visible taller than Neeson . He also towered over a guy like Samuel L.Jackson . And Joe had Alex by a good Half inch. Thats why I believe Joe is more 6'4.75 Rather 6'4 5 but he can look shorter a lot . For exemple , if you Google Joe Manganiello and Tom Hiddleston , you wont argue Joe a mm over 6'4

Alex isn't any taller than Joe. I think Alex is 6'4.25" as listed, or might even be 6'4" flat and Joe is 6'4.5"
@Max
I believe the reason why many people avoid claiming a 1/2 inch is because they don't want to sound too meticulous, because they might be preceived as too self-conscious about their height. So usually they'll just round up. Personally if I were you I wouldn't care what anyone think and just keep on claiming 6'5 1/2" like you did before. Sometimes I claim 6'5 1/2" as well but no one has ever asked me why the 1/2 inch though, oddly enough.
S.J.H said on 25/Jun/17
I still think in this way. Rob see joe as 194.5cm guy and he drop 1/4 down at lowest like 193.75cm for example and the worst he atually was 194cm with rob because of more shoe insole give near 195cm and going lowest at near 6'4.2 but not there. I strongly feel putting alexander skarsgard and joe both barefoot back to back the result is just a small fraction between them and Alex look like a guy on a good day could edge out joe
Canson said on 24/Jun/17
@Max: I didn't know it varied either until I came to this site. I was even a college ball player and was measured my freshman year at 6'4.5 (morning measurement) and I think 6'4.75ish or 195cm flat. Then a late morning or early afternoon later on I think junior or senior was 6'4.5 so I figured an error on someone's part. I measured at night on a normal day without working out at 6'4.33 so consider my height 6'4 1/2" for the site and 194cm in metric. But same here I don't round up either meaning I don't say 6'5 any longer. Partly has to do with surroundings tho my dad is about 6'4" as well maybe 6'3 7/8 today and he tells people I'm 6'4" as does my mother and siblings and my wife says I'm 6'4" to people. Also having a few taller friends who are to the T on their heights one 6'5.25 and that's evening like 8pm when he was measured I think and never even claims the 1/4" just says he's 6'5" solid when someone asks him (someone even once tried to say he looked more 6'6 and he shot them down and said I am exactly 6'5). Then a 6'6 and 6'7" who get down to their marks the former even below here and there if he's on his feet. Then a solid 6'3" that is also one of our best friends. Of course we've been out at the bar before and one person guessed us as 6'4/6'5, me at 6'6 (I was in sneaks or boots) my 6'5 friend at 6'6 (he was wearing flats that day) and the other two at 6'7 and 6'8/6'9 lol. He was shocked when we revealed our heights as 6'3-6'7. Presume he was counting shoes as he gave his height as 6'0" and didn't quite look it to me

@SJH: I don't think it's delusion at all. You're calling it how you see it and tbh he doesn't look as tall as them but could be the way everyone perceives those three in sneakers as 6'6" and they're bigger than Joe in the body. 184guy posted a pic of Mangianello with Cam Heyward and they looked similar imho maybe Joe was a fraction taller so if cam measured 6'4 5/8 morning Joe could be 195 at that time but dip down to 6'4.5 or 194 at evening or could be that Joe lost height now too. To be fair to Rob, it's not possible to be 100% accurate on everyone that he gauges and assesses either. Shoes sometimes can even be tricky. A normal casual shoe can look as if it's the same as the next but be padded and cut differently. I have one like that that adds more height than your typical boat shoes that add 5/8-3/4". It's more like 1.25 because it sits higher and is padded. Also at 5'8-5'8.25 it's not always exactly precise and he doesn't want to undercut anyone So if it's on the line he may guess a tad higher this was the case with Rick fox where he has him listed full 6'6" but admitted he looked less in person but to play it safe kept him there. Fox admitted 6'5" while acting 6'7" in basketball. I see that more as him being 197 cm and rounded down to 6'5 rather than up to 6'6. Then again I'm 193.9-194cm and the average person may measure earlier in the day and say they're 6'5" if they get measured 2-3 hours after being awake (rounded up of course). The latter part I just don't see what it does for me doing that honestly still same person if I'm 6'4 or 6'5. It's like I'm assisting someone who wants to lie more so than rounding up voluntarily because I want to be taller. Which is why I don't do it because I in terms like my height as is and don't want to be taller or shorter really (although I would be ok maybe around 1/2" less at a solid 6'3 7/8 at night).
I round off my height to 6'5" when asked...except on this very specific page. When I would claim 6'5 1/2" people would say what, like 6'5" isn't enough already. I did not know there was even a difference in morning/evening height until visiting this page. When your taller that 99.8 % of people you meet it doesn't really matter anymore. According to this page my morning height would be over 6'6", which I could claim easily. People usually guess me as 6'6" or 6'7". I actually like the way 6'5" sounds, it's less intimidating. I workout extensively and wear a 5XL Leather Jacket, when I walk into a Bar people really take notice.

Like i mention rob could have met him a fraction knock off 195cm so he say he is closer to 6'4.75 , but at this hour kobe bryant could have clear 6'5 as we agree his lowest just few mm below 195cm or right on 195cm. My 1.5cm on kobe and joe could be delusion but certainly it's like 1cm between them that is why i feel mj,barkley and kobe all got to be fraction or over taller than joe.

When you also see for a guy like Michael Irvin that I've commented on I give him the full 6'2" because he was in person same with John laroquette he is over 6'4 at his peak he's taller peak than I am today I bet by maybe a hair or at worst he's the same height at his peak. But those are posts for another day.
I'll give you that Joe maybe my height of 194 (193.9 normal low). I just realized in the quote they asked him how tall are you 6'5"? And he replied back 6'5" so he said it more or less in response. Rob at 5'8" tho it's not as easy to spot exact differences as it would be if I stood next to him so rob could put him standing next to him at 195 but he could be a cm shorter in reality or half cm
In reality it's not that people like you me Johno Christian or Bobby or Ali Baba etc downgrade because we want it's because we see that they aren't how they are listed and it's a matter of how I call it in real life if I claim my exact height and someone is noticeably off I may not say anything to them but if it becomes well you have to be taller than this then I will say it because it's adjustment by default

Joe hair is quite high easily over 2cm that simply made him a hair taller than mj,barkley, kobe who was bald. Honestly the more i look at Joe he isn't a proper 194cm without hair and more like a strong 6'4 so 193.5cm range that prove alexander skarsgard an honest 6'4 , barkley give me a strong impression that he is at least 0.5' taller than Joe and Kobe make me wonder a strong 1.5cm taller than Joe. You're being too humble to think joe is marhinally taller than you but he really isn't. I bet you and mj were the very close at lowest range and joe came behind you :)
Canson said on 12/Jun/17
@SJH: I doubt any of the 3 is over 195 flat at their lowest. But I'd say If there is a candidate it's Kobe. Barkley measured 6'4 5/8 at the olympics so not sure If he's even over 6'4.5 at his lowest. then again he's guessed as 6'4" by a lot of people and 6'5" by some so he's no more than 194.5 at his lowest or else he'd always appear a full 6'5 (anything 195cm and over is no questions asked since it's just 1/4" unless you have 2 people next to each other that can be compared the right way.My guess for all three:
Kobe 194.7-195 id list like he is 6'4.75
Barkley 194.3-194.6 evening (peak) this listing is fair for him too since he's claimed this height but was measured 6'4 5/8 so the 195cm is fair and only round up. Not to mention many think he's taller than he's listed already.
Jordan 194.1-194.3 evening (peak) id list him on this site as 6'4.5 as that's normal
Mangianello 194 ( like you have him) but I'd go more toward him being a hair taller than I am. Maybe he's flat 194 or 193.7ish 193.5-194 is not an absolute low for me that's a normal day so just claim 194.
Sam said on 9/Jun/17
Pictures with Alexander Skarsgard and Armie Hammer prove that his 6'5" claim is for sure rounding up, as there's very little between him and these guys.

He really isn't as tall as either barkley or kobe. It's the shoe and timing he pull off the 195cm to rob. Put it this way he give impression to rob at 194.5cm so pushing 6'4.75 but he could be a barefoot 194-194.5cm and if the same hour rob met kobe or barkley he would think they're both on the strong 6'5 side. I strongly feel half inch is possible like 1.5cm like i mention before using kobe and barkley both compare them stand side by side next to conan o brien. Joe look an inch taller than conan but kobe and barkley look an easy 1.5-1.75' taller than conan. Joe might just be 193.5-194cm your absolute lowest. Kobe might be few mm over 195cm just say he and barkley is 6'5 and joe 6'4.5

@Rob have you ever met a 195cm measured person or measured yourself ? Do you consider Joe a legit / typical 195cm guy ?
Editor Rob

194-195 like Barkley.
Canson said on 26/Apr/17
Prob not 193 but likely 6'4.5 as low height (194 range)
shiva 181 cms said on 19/Apr/17
@sjh 193 is under cutting him ,the lowest I could see is 194
His eye level looks exactly 6' and his eye to top looks 5" ie 6'5 with a fraction more shoe and forced posture, removing 1/4" from shoeand 1/4" posture advantage to match up he is 6'4.5 at least ,
He wakes at 196-197 goes down to 194-195 at worst 194

According to rob measure jenny at her lowest 172.2cm in metric plus roughly 2cm nike sneakers she is 174.4cm and look a full 21cm lower than joe. One thing to point out is joe head is a little closer to camera , jenny standing pretty relax posture and joe a full military posture that might need to take off fraction away means he is 195cm with shoes. (my sister had a same pair different colour of sneaks as jenny it boost about 2.1cm)

@184guy I agree. He can look 195 at times and I saw Max below said he's near him in height 6'5.5 so maybe he was in diff shoe but I can't see him below my height 194 flat. He has proportions of a 6'5 guy imho

Another With Cam Heyward
Joe is taller but not much obvious
Cam Was measured at 6'4 5/8 so in the worst possibility he is 6'4.25 but probably more like 6'4 3/8
In this pic we have also Brett Keisel from the Steelers and he is listed at 6'5
in the pre-draft and can look that With a guy like Shawn Michaels

SJH makes a good point below that he doesn't look much taller than Rob or Jenny. Someone posted a pic with ironhead heywards son previously and he was identical to a 6'4 5/8 morning measured guy who is likely at best 6'4.5 afternoon prob really is 194cm. So really it is possible although Joe pulls off near 6'5" other days like 195cm. Maybe he has lost height as he has gotten older after all

@Nick, Manganiello is obviously taller than Hemsworth in that picture.
Nick said on 5/Apr/17
In this one Manganiello looks just the same height as listed 190cm
Chris Hemsworth Click Here
Manganiello has a clear angle advantage and a very "high" hairstyle which makes him look marginally taller than Chris when he's not. Makes you wonder is Manganiello more 192cm than full 193cm, what do you think?
S.J.H said on 31/Mar/17
@Nick
You're right.
Nick said on 30/Mar/17
can be around 193cm flat, over that in shoes only and very very puffy hair style

@184guy
Skarsgard is solid 6'4 and joe is only 1//4 taller not 1/2 if you look more at them or watch true blood. If this picture above take nearly afternoon joe would be at his lowest 6'4.25 and rob just gave him an extra boost by 0.5' nothings wrong
Click Here 1:18 onwards joe wasn't much taller than conan even alot of movement , conan get the camera advantage after 1:20. It's only an inch at most. Conan is really only 6'3.25 and joe 6'4.25 by their lowest compare 6'4.75 charles barkley and kobe bryant look comfort 1.5" taller than conan
John said on 23/Mar/17
He's a flat 6'5. I met him and he was a good 5-6 inches taller than me.

@SJH
If Joe is only 6'4 6'4.25 as you say , How Tall do You think isso a guy Like Alexander Skaasgard?
Mathew Robinson said on 20/Mar/17
6'4.75" makes a ton of sense as a listing.
S.J.H said on 19/Mar/17
6'4.75 morning 7-9am , picture with rob he might be 194.5cm in person later morning 10-11am
6'4.25 evening/night joe lowest. 193.5cm i don't see anything wrong. If every the clinic and hospital only get patients check-up for height measurement at night then celebritiesheights.com is worthless after all. So its indeed a fact people are always 1/2 off their claim and most people even round up height just example a 5'11.25 guy just say he is 6'0 and look at his lowest to honest people he isn't near it. I'm sorry but people who think joe is an easy 6'5 and over without checking footwear and posture example above picture is silly. Jenny is not over flat 5'8 in this picture and probably she is 5'8.75 in sneakers. Joe is only 6'5.25 with footwear above
John said on 16/Mar/17
Looks near 6'6 according to the height chart. However, he has 1/4 inch more footwear, so that would make him around 6'5.5-6'5.75

I reckon joe manganiello is between 6'4.5-6'4.75 in the morning and dip in a flat 6'4 by night if people remember how legit 6'4-3/4 guys like kobe bryant and charles barkley give impression. Conan o'brien look 6'3.25 max with both kobe and barkley and manganiello look 6'4 with conan. Highly doubt that the conan show film at night they're all in their lowest there.
