Susan has starred in some of the grittiest, most watchable TV series on offer. As well as Happy Valley, she starred in Cracker’s ‘To Say I Love You’, as detailed below. Susan played a lady in waiting in Elizabeth - The Golden Age, alongside some top names. She wasn’t one of Queen Elizabeth I’s ladies though.
At a glance, she’s starred with Robbie Coltrane at least three times, and she was also in The Black Death, making me all the more eager to own a copy, and even Interview With The Vampire.

Only when I had the ‘turn back’ facility of a DVD did I realise just how disturbing the end of the second series of Happy Valley really is. 🥲
I’ll enlarge upon this when I have processed the grim storyline in my head…..

I recognised Susan straight away in a series called 'National Treasure', starring alongside Robbie Coltrane, as indeed she has in 'Cracker' and 'From Hell's. She is one of the women standing in the witness box, accusing Robbie of sexual misconduct from when she was a young girl. Another one is Bill Oddie's petite daughter, Kate Hardie, who played Frances in 'The Krays', starring as Reggie's ill-fated wife. (1991)
I prefer Robbie as Eddie 'Cracker' Fitzgerald!

Susan Lynch has been on my telly of late. I’m in the throws of watching her “Cracker” episode “To Say I Love You” and this time round, I’m having quite a bit more understanding for her character.
She falls in love with a guy with a stammer, having seen him singing in a kareoke competition. He won, receiving a trophy, which is one of many. Then Susan has some nasty loan sharks visiting her, and as she can’t cough up their extortionately inflated prices, the Shylock-style userers avail themselves of anything of value, including her young boyfriend’s trophies. That is when she retaliates, and I’m not going into any detail because it isn’t nice.
Susan’s performance quite blew me away. I noticed she starred with Mr J C Depp in “From Hell”, and with a talent like hers, I bet she’s starred in many more besides. I do hope so.
I’m giving this luscious-haired brunette 4ft4.5. 😄👍💐 XX

I first saw Susan Lynch in an episode of 'Cracker' playing an undesirable, albeit a very attractive one!
Then she played a memorable part in 'Happy Valley' earlier this year and was also in 'National Treasure' just recently.
She plays fantastically gripping parts, though I never really took in her height until she was sitting on a wall next to her 'son' in Happy Valley, legs dangling! There it was evident that she wasn't unduly tall. Based on the ballsy parts she's played in TV and film work, I assumed her to be a fairly reasonable 5ft6-7, but she's quite small really, smaller than I thought!
