Not to mention the size of Show's boots. Show looks about 1' taller, but I'm sure he had a sizable footwear advantage.

Even when Trump is standing further from the camera and the camera tilt favors Piers, Trump still comes out taller.

So all storys and faked comparisons about Wilt being taller than cowboybootet Andre are out of the window.
Andre standing straight was no less than 2,18m in cowboyboots, look at Arnie next to him....
So the minimum inf ootwear height there is
Wilt 2,17m
Andre 2,18m
Arnie 1,88m
so barefootheight:
Wilt 2,15m
Andre 2,12m

So the heightloss-fetishist needs to intervene...
It´s proved he wasn´t even full 7´1" in giant soled boots, so unless you talk about measuring straight out of bed, 7´0.5"-7´1" is fanboyhype garbage as they tried hard to make him look as tall as possible in WCW.
Nash was 6´9" evening, 6´10" in normal wrestlingboots, Big Show in giant soled boots had 2.5" on him.
Big Show was 6´11" peak and is 6´10" today.
Agreed same heightloss as Andre.

**********************************************************************************************************************************
Why not watch all the evidence posted here during the last week.
He was not 7´1" legit, not even 7´1" in his big soled boots.
Big soled boots proved. fact
having 6" on 6´5"-6´5.75" John Tenta. Big Show with Big boots so 5-5.25" barefoot. fact
having 4.5-5 on 6´6-6´6.5" Haystacks without his giant footwearadvantage. fact
Looked barefoot ~ 6´11" with Akebono who was meaured 6´8 1/3" as a young sumo - wich for sure was early in the day
Compared to straight 1987 Andre
So proof he was 7´1" prime without help of Big Big Boots if you want to argue that.
Imo he was a tad or two taller than 7ftpeak, measured within 1hour out of bed and 6´11"-6´11.25" evening.
Since I estimate based on Robs idea of claiming eveningheight, I would list him 6´11.25" peak.
I would classify him as a very weak 7footer, but rather a solid/strong 6´11" guy wich fits better if you see him next to solid 7 Footers.

_________
I'm not Rob, but I try to give you a reasonable answer. Big Show never really did look 7'1" to begin with. Even on his debut, he was shorter than the 7'1" listed Ron Reis (the Yeti). He may have been about 6'11.5" barefoot, but wore big heeled boots that were comparable to cowboy boots in terms of the boost they gave him. This, along with his lean physique and big hair, created the illusion he was taller than he was. Today, after decades of carrying around so much weight, he has lost about 1" of height. The evidence for this is his numerous recent encounters with ~7'0.5" Shaq where he looked 2"-3" shorter on a consistent basis. He may have been close to 7' in his prime but is now in the 6'10" range. His 7'1" listing in college was probably just his height in big basketball sneakers and possibly a roundup from that.

****************************************
4.5" noway, you´re right wit the footwear, but putting Big Shows head at a tad more than 12" it´s a 3.25" gap at best. 6´10.5" Big Show = 6´7.25" Strowman
6´10.5" is pretty fair for Big Show as he looked 6´10"flat next to Shaq with both in dressshoes.

Big Show is closer to 6´10"flat than 6´10.5" evening today.

Here’s a better shot, where the feet are aligned and both have good posture.
Here the difference is less than 2 inches. Both men have good posture and Big Show’s footwear advantage is nowhere near as large as you make it out to be. Big Show still looks 6’11” there.
And that’s a full body shot, where we can see their posture and where the camera angle isn’t favouring either man. You can’t say the same thing for those red carpet videos.
*****************************************
so Big Show Lover,
why not talking about the high camera angle reducing the gap??? here is a head level shot with Big Show straight and clearly 2"+
Here´s their footwear from the red carpet, both in derssshoes
both man standing straight and clearly 2.5" + , for sure you´re not talking about Show being closer to the camera,
but find excuses for Shaq on higher ground - lol
there´re a few different vids, they walk from one interview to the next and the gap is always 2.5"-3".
I pegged Big Shows footwear advantage in ring at 0.4"-0.5" wich he has and wich fits with the red carpet pic with both in equal footwear.
Fact1 Shaq in ring with 0.4-0.5" less footwear ~2.25" taller
Fact2 Shaq red carpet in equal footwear ~2.5-2.75" taller

Khali is obvious taller than Shaq in the pic that you post.
No, Khali is shorter, his head is lower and therefore closer to the camera wich gives Shaq a visual disadvantage, Shaq is clearly the taller man there if the camera goes higher.
Andre was 2,11m peak evening imo same as peak Big Show.
Khali 2,13-2,14m during his first WWE years, maybe taller as a young bodybuilder... Never had a full 6 inches on Taker more 5-5.5"
Shaq 2,15m doubt he lost height...
Aza said on 8/Aug/16

Chaz said on 8/Aug/16
the truble with all this is you are showing most wrestlers in the Evening, and men of this height or weight are going to be at least 1 each shorter, than the morning, and the only good comparason on this page is the Haystacks Big show, and the Tenta Big Show, and all you can tell from that is Haystacks is taller than Tenta because he comes higher up the nose even with thiner shoes,
So unless you can find Tenta and Andre in the same upright stand off,it's all if's and buts.
I think Big Show peak was 7' morning 6'11'' evening,so he should be listed here as 6'11.5'', Andre was 6'11'' morning 6'10'' Evening,so should be listed as 6'10.5''. IMO

Yeah and Big Show comes out 9ft tall if I put his big time raised head to 12" ......

Putting Big Show at a realistic 7ft flat in wrestlingboots shows his boots give easy 1.8".
Shaq comes out at 7´2.5" in 1.3"-1.4", even if Shaqs footwear gives him more, it doesn´t change anything for Big Show.
****If Shaq is really 7ft flat, he would be ~7´1.5" in this footwear, wich means Big Show would be 6´11" in 1.8" footwear/ 6´9.2" barefoot.*****
This has been pointed out to you before, but you have captured a staredown between Big Show & Shaq, where the high camera angle is favouring Shaq. Look at the alignment of their feet, Big Show is standing slightly closer to the camera, which in this case is a disadvantage.
There are several recent pictures of Big Show standing next to tall athletes. Big Show next to 6’11” listed basketball player Kevin Laue, or 6’10” listed basketball player Mychal Thompson. Or how about that pic of Big Show standing next to that 6’11” fan Connor Cronk. Big Show consistently looked 6’11” next to these guys, unless all of them are shorter than what they’re listed at or claim to be.
How much taller do you think Andre was than Big Show, considering you’re claiming a cowboy booted Andre was taller than Wilt, Wilt was taller than Shaq and Shaq was over an inch taller than a cowboy booted Big Show?
You recently claimed you thought both of them were ~6’11” prime, but comments like these leads me to believe you think Andre was around 2 inches taller.
And when did the WWE ever claim Big Show was nearly 7ft tall. Never once did I hear them claim this. I challenge you to post proof of this claim.

I met Big Show in person and I high-fived him outside of his travel bus at a WWE event in Miami, FL. He is credibly between 6'11" and 7 feet. His college basketball profile listed him as 7'1", and it's possible that he lost 1 to 2 inches in height even before age 40, because of the stress that gravity exerts on a person who weighs over 400 pounds.

Big Show was in big cowboyboots facing Shaq the first time and Shaq stood relaxed lokking down in Big Shows eyes and was still 3cm taller.
Why not talking about Shaqs posture... The red carpet vid is the only one he really stretched out and stood straight for a long time.
At WM32 there was a brief moment he stretched out and gained a visible amount of height, having easy 2" on Big Show in his big soled boots.
And Khali was never a full 7´1" in WWE and looked a tad or two shorter than Shaq in their pic.

_____________
Well, if the reporter is stating Chuck is 6'5" and that Andre had about 5" on him, that is the equivalent of him saying Andre was about 6'10". It's the same as him saying Andre was about 70lbs heavier than the 230lb Wepner being the same as him saying he looked about 300lbs. Personally, I think Andre looked about 6'11"/6'11.5" and about 380-400lbs next to Wepner. As far as Chuck being over 6'5", that is unfounded. He has claimed 6'5" for himself and has always been listed as 6'5".

A 6'11" peak big show puts Andre at 6'9" tops. Could be, and maybe the sportswriters and b-ball players who met Andre back in the 1970s were correct when they pegged Andre at 6'9"…..

Big Show had way more than 0.5-0.75" footwear advantage. At least 1.25", 1.5" might be closer.
Haystacks was in pretty low soled footwear wich gave 0.5" -max 0.65" height.
Big Show was 5.5" - max 6" taller than Haytacks, Old Haystacks was 6´6.75"-6´7"max in his thin soled boots. He looked just a tad or two taller than John Tenta.
So peak Big Show was 7´0.25- 7´1" in nearly Kane 1997 heeled boots. His boots gave around 1.75"-2" so he was a 6´11"guy peak.

Akebono supposedly measured 6'8-3/8" barefoot? That makes a 6'11-1/2" barefoot Paul Wight .
If Akebono was still that height after years of 500+lbs, not impossible he was 6´7.5"-6´8" even without heightloss if his measurement was a morning measurement.
In JT´s pic Akebono looks 1.75" taller than Haystacks but has a footwear advantage ~0.5" . Haystacks imo was 6´6" or a tad over back then, so Akebono comes out a weak 6´8"-6´7.5".
6´11" or a tad more is Big Shows peakheight, today he looks 6´10.5"max and solid 2"-2.5" shorter than 7´0.5"-7´0.75" Shaq.
If Big Show wears his Big Boots he can give the Illusion of being only 1.5" shorter than Shaq.

Tatanka and Kane look taller because they're in the background. Shaq and Show are actually lined up with each other so it makes the comparison much more valid. Just like how the difference between Kane and Tatanka is accurate because they're lined up with each other. Also, the low camera angle at the ESPYs showed the same difference between Shaq and Show. Again, there is no way you can honestly say that Shaq doesn't have at least 2" on Show. If Shaq is a legit 7'1", then it is POSSIBLE that Show could be 6'11", but if Shaq is really only 7', then come on. Shaqs son can look a weak 6´8" too,so he´s not proved 6´9"
During there WM face of there´s a brief moment when Shaq stretches out his back and the gap is close to the red carpet vid,
put both barefoot so Big Show loses his 0.5"-0.75" footwearadvantage and it´s about 3inches between them.

Shaq has just about as much height on him there as he did at the ESPYs. There is no footwear advantage and really Shaq could be standing straighter. If Shaq is not even 7'1" legit, how can Show possibly 6'11"? If we were talking about Andre, you would be the first one to claim that Andre looks 6'9" next to Shaq. But, because it's Big Show, you are making all kinds of excuses. Even in their first encounter in 2009, Shaq had several inches on Show when Show wasn't in his super thick boots that he wore with his suit. Those were the equivalent of Andre's cowboy boots with Wilt. When the two had equal footwear later during Big Show's match, Shaq looked at least 2" taller. Show may have been close to 7' in his prime, but it has been made abundantly clear that he is in the 6'10" range now.

Big Show has his massive weight, consistent bad posture, and the angle working horrible for him in the Shaq video on the red carpet.
I honestly feel like Shaq was over 7'1'' that night. I assume his dress shoes have to be customized for his massive feat. Here is a picture of him with his 6'9'' son, who's hair was tied up that night as well, adding to his height. Shaq's posture is great and his heels look kinda big.

There's no way Big Show was under 7' back then in the WCW when he was around 400lbs ( or maybe 380ish ) ..
He looked absolutely huge and I remember him looking 3 inches taller than Nash..
Also remember him being billed 7'3 back then so there you have it if you substract the mandatory 2 inches exaggeration for big men in wrestling.
______________
He was billed as 7'4" in WCW bro... Even in WCW, he was shorter than 7'1" Ron Reis (The Yeti). His basketball listing was probably him in big sneakers. He may have been close to 7' in his prime, but he always wore thick heels to make him look taller. Right now, he is probably no more than 6'10". Shaq probably isn't even a legit 7'1", and he has at least 3" on Show. He may be closer to 6'11" out of bed.

Shaq is at least 214cm so a strong 7 footer barefoot and big Show probably a solid 209/210 cm barefoot, i think is fair to update his height to 214, 213 is a bit low for this basketball legend ;-)

I think he was 7'1 back then, and that's what he was billed in his basketball days.
Back then ---> Nash billed 7' --> 6'10'', Show billed up to 7'3 --> 7'1
I'm pretty sure he would still measure very close to 7' in the morning and standing tall ( which he never does ).
Also many seems to really under estimate the fact that the height of a 7' 500lbs man will be proportionally more impacted than a 6' 200lbs guy throughout the day...

When Big Show came to WWE in 1999, he was huge. There is a video out there somewhere with Big Show and the The Rock from 1999, and Vince McMahon is also in the segment. Rock back in 1999 was at least 6'3". Big Show had to be at least 7'0.5" and he had perfect posture. They both were out of gear and big show towered over the rock. Big Show has lost height over the years because of age, injuries and all the weight he has carried. I would have loved to see Shaq vs Big Show circa 1999, as opposed to 2016, back then they would have been near equal height.

BruceWayne on Big Show
Big Show was listed at 7'1" during his playing days at Wichita State University so probably during his prime, I believe he was at least 7 feet.
WCW billed him at 7'4". When he moved to the WWF (now WWE) they initially billed him at 7'2" and later on at 7 feet flat.
Today however, because of his posture and back issues plus the fact that he has ballooned to almost 500 pounds, he is probably a little over 6'10" (maybe 6'11 max on a good day).
I don't think he is shorter than Andre the Giant. Andre was billed at 7'4". However from available photos, it appears Andre was about 1-2 inches shorter than Wilt Chamberlain. that would put him around 6'11" and 7 feet in his prime. During the WrestleMania stare down with Hulk Hogan (6'4"), Andre appears to be only 4-5 inches taller than Hulkster (in their wrestling boots). This would put him around 6'9" and not anymore in his peak height (Similar to Big Show, Andre had bad posture, back and weight issues in his later years). At best Big Show and Andre are of the same height in their prime or Big show is slightly taller.
Disagree with the hogan 6'4. Hogan was between 6'5.5 and 6'6 at that point I. His career with by your logic would put Andre at 6'10 which I believe what he was fully standing at that time in his career. 6'4 for hogan is insane for his peak
Today however hogan whose body has been decimated is 6'3 at his very very best and more then often 6'2.
James B said on 13/May/16

Was he nice in person? Judging by watching him in interviews I don't really like the guy personally he comes across as intelligent but at the same time quite arrogant like "look at me I am a giant I can do whatever the hell I want".
Hathor Julias Thor would knock his ego down 'quite litteraly'.

I know Adam Scherr aka Braun Strowman personally...I've trained with him & The Silverback Crew from Charlotte-Mooresville, NC many times over the past 10 years. Adam has been measured barefoot @ 6'7.5" & 6'7.75" "barefoot"!... on multiple occasion & documented. And he's a legit 370 lbs!! He fluctuates anywhere from 345-385 over the past few years. But, you've got to take a good look at those wrestling boots too! Kane & Big Show's boot heels are 0.5" to 0.75" thicker than Adam's (Braun).

Rob is 6'11.75 at peak not ruled out? It's mentioned that there was only 2 inches between big show and Kevin Nash in there past matches.
Editor Rob
we shouldn't rule out the possibility someone could be above or even below a figure. Sometimes there is a consensus on pages which seems to be a figure is ok, while on others maybe the overall opinion might be the person is slightly below/above what the listing is.

@Lars That guy isn't even close to 6'5", that would make Show about 7'3" in that picture. That door frame is probably 6'9".

Here is Braun Strowman having a stare down with both Kane and The Big Show at a live event. Strowman also had a similar stare down with both of them on a tag team match on WWE Main Event where he and Kane looked the same. Go to 1:19 of the video

Rob, you said on Kevin Garnett's page that he could wake up at "7 ft 1 ish" but do you really think Big Show too can wake up at that height??

Why is everyone downgrading Kane so much? I've said it time and time again, Kane was always closer to big shows height than ANYONE on the roster ever.

It's certainly difficult to see being the big show being anywhere under 530 in that period as he was floating around 500 but then piled on weight and was absolutely huge towards the end of 2006

What do you think Big Show's heaviest weight was? Wasn't he close to 580 lbs ?
Don't know about 580 lbs, but he looked 550 Pounds easily in 2006
Carlos said on 29/Apr/16
MelvinJones, I don't think he got that heavy but probably was around 550 lbs at his biggest in late 2006, possibly more so not that far of that
Vic said on 29/Apr/16
I believe his heaviest was when he started to lose hair. Probably 550lb.
When he became bald he has once passed 530lb I think.
