Could look identical to Arnold and other times fraction shorter. If Arnold was 186 then this guy was 6´1. Good listing.

Arnold often gets mentioned as being much smaller than listed and yet reg his listed height, but any videos or pictures of the two together Arnold looks noticeably taller?

6-1 seems very legit. Any chance of Mike ohearn listing Rob?

Reg Park was a gentleman and real life Hercules. He won 3 times mr. universe title (1951, 1958, 1965). He could Squat 600lbs, Bench press 500lbs and Standing Press 300lbs. In his prime he was 6’1-1/2. He may have shrunk later in his life similar to Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Rob if Reg Park was 6ft1 then Arnold Schwarzenegger needs a downgrade on his peak height because they were literally the same height. Arnold maybe was pushing at max 6ft1.25 as an absolute high mark.

exactly 6'1"

i agrre that he looked pretty mutch the same height as arnold. the lisitng is fine and arnold could have been 186 well maybe even 187 as listed (almost) but overall i think 186 for arnold seems like the best option and this guy 185
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 31/Jul/13
He was 1.5in taller than Schwarzenegger who hadn't yet reached his full height of 6ft1.5-1.75.
They looked quite similiar. Maybe Arnold was 1cm taller or something.
"Reg Park height: 6ft 1.25in (186cm)"

Rob, to you, how much do you think Reg Park was tall? It seems you possible this measurement?
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 19/Apr/11
Similar to Arnold in height...186cm Rob?
Editor Rob
he said he was measured 6ft 1, whether that's 185 or 186, it could be either of them.

No guys, Reg really is marginally shorter than Arnold. I know of all the photos in which you speak, like the one in Africa where they're both standing in water at a beach or pool. In most pics they're not standing on even ground, and Arnold has the tendency to curl his spine in when posing, making all the difference when it comes to half-inches. In the "fair" ones I do see of both men standing side-side, Arnold is clearly fractionally taller than Park. Since Arnold being widely accepted to be 6-1.5, makes total sense Reg Park was 6-1 as Editor Rob has it.

Rob I've seen at least 4 pics of this guy with Arnold Schwartzneggar and barefoot where he looks marginally taller. Is there a chance we could boost his height closer to 6ft2? I know it sounds a bit much but he looks taller than Arnie. And Arnie was measured at 6ft1.5!
Hugh 190cm said on 7/Jun/09
Stood tall at 6ft1 and had the most impressive physique I have ever seen.
John said on 16/Mar/09
There is a well known picture of Arnold standing beside Reg(barefoot in a pool)
in South Africa. Arnold is slightly shorter. Reg was about as tall as Steve
Reeves who I met(5'11" compared to my 5'10"). What must we conclude?
Hugh said on 19/Nov/08
Could there be a chance that he was between 6ft1 and 6ft2 in his prime and say just over 6ft by the time of his death.
Hugh said on 16/Nov/08
I think Park was similiar in height to Arnold except he didn't shrink as much. 6ft1.5 peak and 6ft1 by the time of his death.
Euan said on 18/May/08
if he was 6'1 arnold is DEFINITELY 6'1, i have arnolds autobiography and there is a picture of them barefoot and if anything park looks taller!

Jim, I think ur right, that Reg Park was about 5-10 just before he died, here he is with Arnold at the 2007 Arnold classic where Arnold presented him a life-time achievement award and he does look about 2inches or so shorter than Arnold...

I think on Lynn's link to Mr. Park's official website, he's listing the average measurement of his peak height (6-2) with his current height (5-10) to get an even 6-0, as his honesty is getting the best of him. Remeber, he was probably pretty old when he set up that site (as internet is only a recent thing), and to choose a single measurement to best fit him, he probably felt 6-0 was best. Lynn believes Arnold was only 6-0 at his very peak so that's why he insists on Park being only 6-0 as well, but all those who met him as indicated below clearly indicate Park was 6-1 in his prime.

23 January 2008 : Reg and I were in touch continually for many years until his passing. Initially I met him when I competed in his shows and promotions in the 60s when he was in his prime(which lasted a long time) and later i became his attorney and was so until his passing. A man of greater integrity you will not find. He abhored lies and misrepresentation and his height would be as he gave it. I would place it at a genuine 6ft 1 and even in later years not much less if anything at all. Whats the relevance anyway?.

Reg being taller than Arnold is interesting to say the least.
Casey Butt said on 11/Jun/07
When Reg was 16 and 17 years old he was in the British magazine "Health and Strength" several times. Each time he was listed as 6'0". It's very reasonable to assume that he grew an additional inch by his twenties.
I corresponded with Ray Beck briefly a couple of years ago. He's not a "typical 80 year-old". He won a 10 km road race in his 70s. He is active on the internet. I don't doubt that he posted that message.
In the photos below Park is clearly as tall, perhaps even taller than Schwarzenegger ...and they're both bare-footed and standing with normal postures.

I have to agree with Patrick. In all the photos of Reg and Arnie together, with shoes on and barefoot, the Austrian Oak is 2 inches taller.
Check out 'Arnold: The Education of a Bodybuilder' book - you will see Reg is no six footer.
Bodybuilders have been lying about their heights since the fifties at least.
Or does anyone think Jack LaLanne shrank 8 inches?
patrick said on 16/Apr/07
Who can say Reg was similar to Arnold? WHO? It needs to watch 60ies reports with them together! Arnold was definitely taller without any doubt; There are a lot of those reports in B&W, showing them meetin, posing next to eachother etc. Arnold had two inches on him; Something here doesn't add up!

I guess Ray Beck has left the building. I'm not sure Ray Beck is really who he claims to be, because if he is, then that man would be probably 80 years old and I don't know too many 80 year olds who are on this website, let alone any website for that matter...lol.

It's one thing to be buff like Linda Hamilton was in Terminator II (thumbs up), or even former Ms. Olympia Cory Everson, but the women bodybuilders of today carry the idea to a grotesque level.
J-Dog said on 25/May/06
I don't think Reg Park has any reason to embellish his height.
Gramps said on 24/May/06
Interestingly, Reg placed 4th in the Mr. Britain competition at the age of 18 (in 1946 - a year before Arnold was born), and placed 2nd in the Mr. Universe (Tall) competition in 1973, when Arnold was winning his fourth Mr. Olympia title!
