Very good looking man...he was in his 50's when that photo was taken...they don't make them like him anymore.
Towered over Elvis in Flaming Star

Rob can you add a photo and films Mommie Dearest, The Wild Country, It Happened to Jane, The Long Gray Line, Heller in Pink Tights, Flaming Star. Probably a few more TV series worth mentioning too like Gunsmoke, Columbo and Dallas.
Looks accurate, exactly what I guessed with Doris Day in It Happened to Jane.

I watched a Bonzana episode today with Lorne Greene, Tina Louise and Steve Forrest. Something about an indian attack and Forrest helped rescue her. Steve was so handsome and has a wonderful voice to boot. Happy Christmas and happy New Year, Steve.

Steve was 6'3" in his Baron days, on his many Gunsmoke appearances alongside 6'7" James Arness, and on SWAT with 6'2" Robert Urich. Even in his 60's in the 1980's, he was still a strong 6'2". As mentioned previously, his older brother was movie actor Dana Andrews, who was shorter, about 6'.

He is definatly 6'4, i am 6'5 and he only was shorter than me by a tiny bit a few years back.

Rob, I just read your comment today but "it makes my day"! The themes you mention are among the best ever. Ron Grainer wrote both the Prisonner and man in a suitcase I would add the persuaders and of course, the Avengers (the champions are great too!)
As for Steve Forrest, he was probably taller than 6'3. Appers so in many movies and TV shows next to tall actors as Jhon Wayne (the longest day).

didnt see much of Steve Forrest after the Baron , I was 10 when it was shown in the UK in 1966, he joined my hero's of the time , I loved the theme Tunes to all of thses 60,s classics Mc Gill (man in a suitcase and the saint (Roger Moore) , Danger Man and the Prisoner (

6ยด2/3" sounds O.k.. Reminds me of Moore, but 2" taller.

He was a good two inches taller than 6'0.5" Karl Malden in a movie made in 3-D.
It was based VERY loosely on Poe's "Murder in the Rue Morgue. Can't seem to access movie title from brain.

I think he looked more like 2 inches taller than Elvis - 3 max. Certainly not 4.

Brother of actor Dana Andrews. Forrest did at least 3 episodes of Gunsmoke. Towered over everone except Arness, of course. Had a very deep voice. Handsome, broad shouldered man. Appeared to be 6'3" to 6'4" easily. Good actor. Was also in "Flaming Star" with Elvis. Easily 3 to 4 inches taller than the "King".

OH yeah! no doubt he at least "was" (because he's old now) 6'3;
i remember an episode of "the fugitive" he was in and how he towered not short David Janssen, a good 6' tall man.
Steve Forrest was in addition, a very strapping man even after 55;
A very good actor with a strong character and a nice personality; he deserved a better carrier than he got.
