Joseph as Dr. No

Rob, I’ve been looking more into Wiseman and am now thinking 6’0.25” could be a more correct figure.
You remarked before that Wiseman was more 6’0” than 6’1” and I am coming around to that position. His posture was generally better than that of his co-stars, and at times he still looked six foot tops.

Rob, what is your interpretation of the height difference between Wiseman and Alex Cord at 29:36 below? 2cm to Wiseman?

Was a brief moment, I think maybe Joseph had his head tilted a litle more than Alex. I could imagine Cord being 5ft 11.5 ish.

An FBI file apparently even listed Jack Lord as 6’0”.

Looked a solid 185cm next to Connery in that one shot but realistically this mark makes more sense. 183cm is low-balling him though.
I think this height used to be what 6ft2 is today

Realistically...and mind you they weren't in any scenes together...I would say he was shorter next to Connery compared to Anthony Dawson. I think Jack Lord potentially could have been this mark as well. In fact he looks shorter with Connery than Wiseman does

A tough call indeed, Rampage. I ultimately voted 6’0.5” for Wiseman, but feel that’s on the generous side.

Nice...long overdue
Tough call Gerald, either of those have looked possible for him. Flat 6ft is ruled out and full 6ft1 might be pushing it.....unless Connery was a little over 6ft2 which I have argued in the past.
Had brilliant posture which certainly helped him look taller.
I mean check this out!

It is spelt Stiletto, Rob. A great film if you have not seen it, I would highly recommend it (it stars Alex Cord, Archangel from Airwolf!).

One I've never seen.

Rob, could you please also add Detective Story to Wiseman’s credits (where he played one of his most famous roles)?
I would lean more towards 6’0.25” than 6’0.75” for Wiseman. In fact, I nearly voted 6’0.25” for him. In The Happy Thieves, Rex Harrison even edged out Wiseman, although Harrison had superior posture and an additional inch of footwear to Wiseman in that film. I feel Wiseman would have still been a stronger 6’0” than Ciarán Hinds for instance.

Rob, please add Stiletto and Detective Story to Wiseman’s credits.
Rob, I really must thank you. In the past week, you have made pages for Hardy Krüger, Keenan Wynn and Joseph Wiseman, all on my request! You have really made my week. Those pages are very much appreciated.
Wiseman is a tricky one to figure heightwise. Depending on the film, he could look more 6’0” or 6’1”. In Stiletto, Dr. No and The Valachi Papers, he did not look far off 6’1”. In Detective Story, he hardly cleared 6’0”, but his posture was not up to its usual standard.

He really could vary within that 6ft to 6ft 1 zone.
