I think it's time he gets a peak update. May have been 176 then, but looks about 174-174.5 now. He's also 65, so he may have lost some height by now.

I'd say shorter than 5ft 9in. I can see 4 inches (maybe slightly more) between Mandel and Crews and Mandel has a thicker heel on his footwear. I'll give him 5ft 8in.

61 years old. I'd say this needs a peak height option. I think 176 peak and current of 174 is possible.

Saw him last night in Woodland Hills, Ca at the mall. He is not more than 5'8". Time for a downgrade.

I am watching Howie Mandel on the Ellen show. He is loud, over-the-top and annoying, but some people in the audience are wiping away tears - of laughter! It reminds of an episode of 'South Park'! Anyway, there's no way he's 5ft10 or even over 5ft9 when comparing him to Ellen. I give him a guess of 5ft8.5, and a whack over the head with that lookalike dummy of himself that he's brought along to the show!

He looked shorter than Tony Shaloub in an episode of Monk...sometimes Shaloub seemed to have a solid inch over him.

Just saw him leaving a sushi restaurant in Calabasas, Ca. Walked right past me, and I had to do a double take. The listed height is about right. He's somewhere between 5'9" and 5'10", possibly even 5'10" in the morning.

saw him on a T.V show called marriage ref he was a guest on it he was wearing boots with at least 1 inch lifts including insoles probably adding 1.5 to 2 inches of height he really is only 5'8" at most

Got to meet him backstage a while back when he was in Vancouver and I had at least 3 inches on him. He was wearing shorts and running shoes so he couldn't have been packing lifts. I'm 5'11.75 and he's a little bit smaller than 5'9.

Here, he is standing next to a 6'0" (6'1" Max) John Cena, which would make Howie almost 6'0". He must be wearing high lifts with tall shoes because he is not that tall. Click Here

There was a tall guy on let's make a deal tonight that made him look really short.. but I think that guy was at least 6'4. I could buy 5'8-5'9 for Mandell.
I agree Nashville. then people wonder why shorties feel the need to compensate. sometimes ya feel almost like it's a lose-lose proposition when you're short. at least in the way you are perceived.

I was standing next to him in line at the movie theater in woodland hills california back in the 80's. He was about my height or a little shorter and I am only 5'7 1/2. Maybe he grew lol

I often come here to Celeb Heights, and I think it is funny how some people, when they want to downgrade a person from the height Rob lists, or from what the celeb claims, they post things like FM below, as though being smaller is bad, and so they point out some good thing the celeb has done to offset their "shortness". Certainly no offense is intended, fm, just a funny observation, after spending a lot of time on this sight and seeing this phenomenon over and over. LOL!

Howie was just on Regis with John Leguizano. John said he is 5'8" He was wearing a shoe with a thick sole and managed to tower over guest host, Mandel. Howie appeared to inch out Kelly by no more than 2". He's a great talent who gives $ to kids charities. But he is well under 5'10" I've spoken with people who've met him and report that with his trademark Converse shoes, Mandel appeared 5'6"-5'7"

I saw him on Leno, too, but Jay was definitely more than an inch taller taking all of the other things into account. He really isn't much greater than 5'8" if at all.

Just saw him on the tonight show on Oct. 19th. If Jay Leno is 5'11" (as he is listed here and sure looks it to me), then Howie is 5'10". Jay may look an inch or two taller than 5'11" because his shoes and hair (especially hair) make him look 6' and up. I made sure when I compared them to draw an invisible line from where Jay's bald head is to Howie's (bald) head. But Jay is 5'11" and Howie is 5'10".

He was on a talk show with Jackie Chan, they were the exact same height. I'd say 5'8".

I met him about 8 years ago on the street, and he's really only pushing 5ft9. Maybe close to 5ft10 with shoes. Nice enough guy though. Now, the handshaking thing makes sense, since he seemed a little standoffish.

I'm having a hard time believing this one. He was just on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno (September 15-16, 2006), and he looked AT LEAST two inches shorter than Jay Leno. He's never struck me as being tall. In fact, he's always struck me of being under average height.
